Wouldn't it be funny to set the transparency to zero and make opaque FF bubbles. That would tick off teammates more than ice shields!
-
I know. A lame attempt at humor. Appears my success rate at that is in line with my PvP IO drops in arena...
-
Actually, the fact that I was willing to set this up and watch the painfully slow action for 3.5 hours straight already worries me.

That's why I think specific builds would be the best solution. It seems like it would be the best way to get around this new timer.

I used my fire/kin as the beatdown dummy and my spine/dark scrap as the killer. With FA and Death Shroud running, I was able to consistently take down my f/k in 5:05 to 5:15 minutes in the arena (due to the periodic misses).
My method was to set up a 30 min battle royale cage match. fully attack the f/k on startup as quickly as possible then let the 5 minute kill cycles run.
I ran about 7 of these last night and another 3 this morning.
No PvP IO drops.
Bad luck I suppose, but I still haven't heard from anyone that actually had a PvP IO drop in the arena. several report drops in zone PvP, but not in the arena...
I did receive inf, and I think I got one salvage drop but may be mistaken on that. -

On another good note, I can see purples going down in price thanks to this change.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hopefully. But that depends on how they implement this. They could very well be planning on putting in some type of limit on drops.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking the same thing. Making the drop rate adjust by some ratio based on real vs 'fake' teammates. -
Haven't come across anyone getting a PvP IO in arena yet...

One dropped on my first kill after the patch. Looks like they're back.

...trying to decide whether this evokes envy or hate.
anyway. congrats. -
Back to the OP -- anyone get a PvP IO drop since the patch?

The ASN used to be REAL popular back in the day of Kraken farming. No one goes in there much anymore.

...and even fewer people come back out.

Lol! You're right. Must have been for the Mister Burns 'Excellent' motif.

What does "You have traded Nothing, for 1,000,000,000 influence." mean?
[/ QUOTE ]
Is that kind of like "All your base are mine"? -
Why not roll at 33 as you had planned, then turn off XP gain for a while and run some more TFs?

5 minutes. If you kill them, or they kill you, within those 5 minutes, the timer resets. This basically ensures PvP IOs won't drop in the course of normal PvP.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmm, I wonder how long it would take to kill someone in the arena using hotfeet or burning aura... more than 5 minutes? -

Someone uncross their fingers please.
I think we have an even number of crossed fingers and they are canceling each other out. -
Known bug. Determined to not be a showstopper, but supposedly high priority for a fix.

Grats! And say goodbye to flipping Posi Blasts thanks to that picture. We're onto you now!

Ok step one: look at crafted IOs
Step two: Notice one valuable one goes for between 45 MILLION-125 MILLION.
Step three: Put in buy orders of 45 MILLION
Step four: Watch two of those fill instantly.
Step five (damn i'm getting tired> This is alot of steps): relist for somewhere way higher than 45 Million, but under 125 Million!!!
Step six: *shrugs shouldler* I don't know.... (couldn't resist the under pants Gnomes reference, they are to cute)
Step seven: Profit?!?!?!
Sound like a good EBIL plan oh Masters of Darkness and Supreme EBIL MARKETTERING?
[/ QUOTE ]
Did you remember step two point five: monitor IO and make sure price is not a fluke?
Or four point five: wonder to self why orders filled so quickly?

NE was pre-selling the upgrade for $99 (I think) but I can't find it any longer. Must have been a time-limited promo.
-
Oh great. Next you're gonna tell us you level pact two new alts and mito farmed them up to level 20 so you wouldn't have to suffer through the pre-travel and pre-stamina levels.
Oh the humanity! -
Can you stick it out for another few months with Vista? Windows 7 will be out and looks pretty good.
-
Actually, yes. I too thought I must have toggled an option somewhere.
I now have to right-click and pick info to see the stuff. -
somebody got really pissed off getting tp drone'd in PvP today.

Yeah I know of some SG's out there that hold CC with massive rewards, insane rewards and all these rewards go to SG alts. Makes the SG look generous, gives them exposure and they don't loose profit in the process.
It's all business and they recruit during the CC.
*Spooky music*
Trust no one!

I belong to one of the SGs that ran several large CCs in the past. We try and keep it fair by having all SG members review the entrants and pick their top 10 in order of preference, then we combine the tally and select 1st, 2nd and third by number of votes.
On several occasions we ended up recruiting the winner, but I don't think we ever knowing awarded the prize to a current member or his/her alt.
I really don't think CCs are rigged as much as people say. But then again, I like to believe the best in people until proven otherwise.
