I have an Everex XT5000T laptop with the nVidia GeForce Go7600 and am able to play.
Pretty close to your config -- Vista32, Dual core (AMD X2 here), 4GB RAM.
I don't have it here with me at work, but from the messages it looks like maybe you have managed to turn off your OpenGL?
I cannot tell from the card driver you listed, but you might try downloading the latest Go7600 drivers from the nVidia site.
I'll check my settings when I get home in a couple hours. -

I'm laying off buying purple recipes and selling the crafted purple IO's since I think the supply may increase with I16. But I'll still be in there messing around in the marketplace.
Think about possible outcomes of the I16 changes and see if your market predictions are correct.
For instance...
If the difficulty slider = more 50's soloing and getting purple drops,
-and-
The AE 'nerf' cuts down on the AE farming and rapid leveling,
-then-
Might we end up with fewer PL'd players -- and see ones that are actually leveling up 'normally' and IO'ing out their characters along the way instead of just when they ding 50?
Is it worth taking a look at set IO's that top off in the 30-45 range where the leveling rate seems to slow and people have inf to buy IO sets for the bonuses? Maybe. -

I do not think you should be able to buy prestige.
Given the absurd exchange rate for inf->prestige, a suspicious person might come to the conclusion that a nefarious SG is purchasing inf from RMT sources. That is against the rules. -

No, you don't have to buy another copy. You just need to install a second copy and add '-test' to the shortcut. Look in the training room forum stickies -- it should be in there.

Sell it and get an unbounded leap +stealth and put it in sprint.
Unbounded leap's are usually cheaper than celerity and you can toggle the stacking affect on or off regardless of whether you're hovering or flying.
If you have the vet sprints or powerslide, it's even better because you can use a non-stealth sprint and a stealth sprint. -

During the past 2XP weekend I level pacted a pair of SOA toons and then PL'd one (which also Pl'd the other) up to level 38 or so.
It was almost like having 3 accounts!
