Does it run any better if you run in maximized windowed mode instead of full screen mode? My laptop had issues running full screen, but chugs along happily in windowed mode.

I suggest changing PvP IO's so there is a chance for them to drop for the winner or the loser of a PvP encounter.
I think this might give some incentive for people to continue to try PvP that otherwise might steer clear after they repeatedly get their rear handed to them due to inexperience, poor builds, whatever.
I also think it would slightly increase the availability of PvP IOs and work to bring down the current market rate.
Thoughts? -
The difference from lvl 40-50 is probably less than 1%. So it's up to you. Some folks plan builds down to the last .1% in mids.
What I do is keep a several low level LotG's +recharge IOs around to get the benefit on my rise to 50. Then at 50, I swap them out via respec for level 50 LotG IOs and pass the low level ones on to my next project.
With the A-merits, you can get a LotG +recharge every 4 days. So once you're 50, it really doesn't take too long to get more. -
Just be aware that the LotG +7.5% also has a +Def component. If you slot lower level versions of this IO, the +Def bonus will be less. If you're trying to eek out every available +Def to hit the softcap, this may be an issue.
For other uniques like Numina +Recov/+Regen or Miracle +Recov, +Stelaths, etc., you are actually better off slotting those at the lowest IO level possible since you want it to be in effect if you exemplar down to a lower level. -
Okay then, I guess Windows is reporting it wrong?
It started as the AthII Rana 3.1 triple core I linked.
Now system info shows the following:
AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 B45 Processor 3.11 GHz
Scores a 7.3 in the index.
Also shows all four B45 procs in device manager.
Maybe it's only L3 cache deficient?
Regardless, it works well enough for me! Especially as a low budget upgrade. -
Quote:Are you dead set on Intel over AMD?I'm building a new computer and have this components in mind.
MoBo GA-P55-USB3
Processor i5-760
Is there anything better and cheaper?
Thanks in advance
I recently upgraded using the following components:
Mobo: Asus M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX
CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1GHz
Mem: 4GB DDR3 10666
At the time, I got it all as a combo special for a hair over $200.
The nice thing is that the mobo has the core unlocker feature which, in combination with that CPU, turned it into quad core Phenom 3.1GHz!
Nice bang for the buck! -
What size is your power supply? Maybe when the graphics intensify, the card is drawing more power than your current PS can provide. Almost sounds like you somehow blew out a memory chip on your graphics card. I don't know if underpowering a graphics card can cause that or not.

I have a Dark/Arch that is pretty fun.
Pull them to the tar patch using Darkest Night, once they are all bunched up in the patch and debuffed, hit them with fearsome stare, let loose with your rain of arrows crashless nuke and follow up with exploding arrow. Fun times. -

Hey! Your wife just called and said to get yourself off the forums and back to work!

If I'm not mistaken, you need to be in a level-appropriate zone for ToT to work.
For instance, a level 50 toon in Atlas won't get ToT doors, but will in Peregrine Island.
Could that be the issue? -

Although extremely rare, I would add the Bug Hunter badge to the list of globally awarded badges.

Quote:Anyone else wonder whether they did a quick autopsy or two to see if they could figure out what happened? Imagine waking up to find yourself distributed into several pans in an operating room.I think they were taken out with a stasis ray. I expect them to be right as rain for people who were technically dead for a day or so.
I think the snitch subplot illustrated that there are some defectors, even within the 97, and that loyalty to Sophia (and/or the group?) is placed above personal relationships in the group. -
I did pretty well with my FF/Elec/Power defender.
He's close to the def softcap so I turn on hover and put him on follow to the lead tank. Spam elec sapping powers and almost never get hit. Power Build Up, Short Circuit and Ball Lightning will drain them in one attack cycle. Without PBU it takes two cycles. -
I'm on now on Freedom with a reactivated account

Time to start stocking up on respec recipes. I wonder how much those will sell for after I19 hits.

As an experiment, if you play in full screen mode, try switching to windowed mode and see if that helps.

What has changed recently?
Make sure you're playing with the laptop on a hard surface and not something like a soft bedspread that would restrict air flow. Also make sure it's plugged into the wall and not on battery since some laptops scale back CPU when not plugged into the wall.
Or maybe you can try blowing compressed air in the exhaust vents in case they are clogged up. -

If I recall, the Radeon HD4770 was designed for low power consumption -- something like 75W. You might be able to get by with something like that if you can find one somewhere. It should run some of the lower end ultra mode too even though that isn't important to you. When these were new they ran around $130 so they should be under $100 by now.

Weird. Is trip mine treated as some sort of pseudo pet and that pet is getting the recharge bonus?
