When I first started playing this I only crashed every 1-2 hours(around Sept last year), but because I enjoyed the game, I didn't let it bother me and simply ran the game again. I thought maybe it was my graphics card, even though I'd be able to play on ultra with no lag during the times between crashes when things were fine, but with a new card, it seems to crash even more. Even before the new card, with each new day the game crashed more often and now I hardly ever play because of the hassle it is for me to have to leave the task manager open to close the game since it often just freezes out right without any message or just closes itself.

Also things like this happen a lot:

The game ran out of memory and must now exit.

This example in particularly is the only one that isn't completely random that happens 50% of the time when a new alt leaves the Hellion base under the bridge(that part you get disguised when you enter that you kill an informant to get in.). But a lot of the time it's just random, from the moment I enter the game, to simply rotating the direction I'm looking. Even the ones with the message have stopped closing normally when I hit 'ok' like they used to.

I tried following that guide to use CoH helper, but my time is limited as it is with studies, homework and the occasional off time to do things like this, so I don't really like reading large walls of text that take some of that time away from me, but the problems bothering me enough to finally seek help. When the CoH helper runs after getting information it always gives me an error message, running with or without admin doesn't matter(even though the error states it's related to this), nor is it because of my dotnet thing being out of date, that's already been updated.

So here is what it copies to clipboard but because of the error, there may be errors in it, but the guide never mentioned the error. I'll just put results from both admin and non admin instead.

I also played a few years ago and it almost never crashed then, I used XP and considered trying XP again to see if it would solve the issue, but Microsoft no longer sell XP.

There are also the iTrial crashes too, so I probably have a mix of all the crash issues possible.

If I did anything wrong with this thread, then critics are welcome, but I'd rather helpful advice regarding the issue.

When I read the title, I thought about 'The Mask', you know, that one movie?

It looks like there are going to be lots of those tokens sitting around all over the place after them being so sought after for the tier 9. Hit T9 around Christmas, sitting on 10 now. They will just keep piling if they only get spent on the costumes, and if the super packs they trade for in beta are the exact same as what's already in the market, then I already have everything I want from them too.

The best thing to do is just let them pile up some more and wait to see if anything more gets added in the future, or buy those summon things that aren't in the super packs :P

When the new content comes out, and eventually future incarnate powers, he will wait it out until the super slow solo method is available to all powers. That is how he will never do another iTrial again.

They need to have feathers too, we can't really make a proper bird character from the previous pack if we have no feathers. Feather textured skin with all those furs and scales would be nice.

This somehow got me thinking that our future powers could possibly be tied to the Praetorians well(since every world has its own well that gets eaten by the space monsters and Prometheus thinks its much more important to beat Praetoria first(to get their well and increase our chances maybe?))

So maybe it's waiting for some more Praetorian content to release in order for us to tie in a Praetorian well that currently favors Tyrant.

I'd say Bobcat(Praetorian Minx).

But I do enjoy meeting Desdemona(mainly happens in rogue missions), but that's probably not just an attraction to looks. I could imagine a fanfic about my character and Des, if I were the type to stoop into that kind of thing.

The crusader arc has some difficult choices in my opinion. Sure it is black and white and the options would normally be easy to choose, but the build up to those decisions and what's at stake is what makes it hard.

I suppose it's easier to choose if you decided to side with a particular alignment, but that doesn't mean you have can't switch back. Some aren't strictly Loyalist or Resistance though and can still be rather grey.

It isn't so bad as long as you don't start with long animations like Titan Sweep. Once slotted you can spam it pretty easily, use Power Sink before running out of end, repeat it all over again and have Power Sink ready at the time you need it again. So end isn't such an issue, the real issue is that there needs to be more EA with TW. I'm kidding about the EA, but with EA you'll have it pretty easy.

My only petition I ever sent that I heard back from regarding an exploit I'd found had a GM appear with 'What seems to be the problem?' too. I was so shocked to see a gm message me at first. I felt it pointless to explain the issue that I'd already written in the petition, so I said 'Well I'm not too sure what to say other than what's already been written in my petition, so I don't know what more needs to be added' and they said "Hmmm I understand how that can be a problem" and then got back to me regarding everything I'd said slightly after and eventually said they'd sent the issue to a higher person who is better dealing with the issue(not because they were hopeless but because the other people are better for dealing with technical exploits than a GM).

The effect you described can be done with textures.

For dogs and attack animations, it requires animations to be done by messing around with the bones of the models and making sure everything moves smoothly and properly.

The numbers for this year will probably be amazing. I'm spending far more than the monthly subscription fees per month(but not every month). Like $100 this month, $50 last month, possibly over $300 around xmas(I totally wanted tier 9). And if I do it, others are doing it too, because you are never the only one :P

Is any of those servers heavily populated in Stalkers? I would like to try a team with a lot of Stalkers. If there were an all Stalker team(such as Tanker Tuesday, Mastermind Monday, the Superteams) I'd totally join in for that.

So far I tried Guardian after making the thread. Guardian was pretty dead around that time, it took a long time to form a DFB which only had 4 people, followed by failing really badly at it. The team members kept squabbling about who has the better higher level character even though none of them were talking about that character being maxed level, not really an issue, but it felt like I was stuck in a team of children. That squabbling is just one example of why they felt that way. For example, they insisted we had to have a tank before we start, even though DFB is usually anything goes, and when our tank died, they illogically stated I had to tank because of being melee even though I was a stalker. Then I actually did tank by eating purples and the tank decided I survived better because my level was higher and none of them understood what I meant when I said it was because I ate purples.

Now I have a character on Virtue, it feels a lot like Freedom, but with role players everywhere. I don't mind role players. Things are going pretty well so far.

I guess what I'm really after is a server with some level of Stalker love, if there is such a thing. So it's more than just a mission to avoid a server that avoids Stalkers, since there are some who won't add them for trials, but to find a server that really suits them. Something like how EvilGeko mentioned in that other thread how he states 'Stalkers needed and appreciate' when forming teams.

Liberty sounds awesome with it's always doing things, so I might try that out at some point.

Exalted is my home server, so I won't mind making a Stalker there, I just know my luck on Red side will be very low if I start Red, so I'll just go Blue. It's good to feel at home after all. And that's the thing, sure Virtue is nice, but Exalted is also nice, I'm just not aware of Stalkers being a preferred choice there, but I know we don't mind them being on our teams either.

I would like to know which server is most suitable for a Stalker.

Based on that thread by PsychicKitty I thought perhaps Guardian, but that thread is a few months old(well the part where she mentioned Guardian is), so that might not be the case now.

What do the Stalkers of the forum feel is the best server to play as a Stalker on based on their opinion?

More we have, the more possibilities.

I got the set after around 12.

Then after around 60 or something more I got a wolf.

This also lead to having multiple full ATO sets, hundreds of those other random things and over 5k merits. Others seem to have gotten the set in even less.

I wonder if I'm one of those whales mentioned in the article.

Often I buy extra points around $50 or $100 at a time while also subscribing. not so often now that I have mostly everything. If I were out of reward points when the next 3 for the 9th tier costume unlocked, I'd spend $50 for them.

I quite like the system we have, and I've played lots of free games in the past that had the issues listed in the article. The only main issues I noticed through most of them were unbalanced pvp or getting around level40 or something then being too underpowered to continue. Most of those games are grindy anyway, like a certain MMO that is often compared to.

CoH does it pretty well, they probably make a lot of profit from it, which lets them bring out more and more content much faster than before. Things ranging from powersets, costumes and random other things(flying carpets) are coming out much more often thanks to our system I think.

I've seen some systems where you had to pay like 40c to be able to type one thing into global chat(actual global, not CoH global) before. So going upto premium for permanent chat bonuses is better than that, and premiums don't seem to mind their chat features. I haven't really noticed it being an issue to freemiums, but then again, I mostly play on Exalted.
