Well that explains why I couldn't find the patch note for it. So much for the assurance we were given that they'd be working to prevent that sort of thing from happening.

There was a change made to cause procs slotted in toggle powers to shut off when the toggle is shut off. I don't remember when the change was made but yes it was done. In answer to the OP's question, I may be wrong but I don't think that change was reverted. It seems to work properly most of the time but sometimes reverts to the old behavior.
With a stealth IO slotted in Sprint, it's not unusual for me to toggle off Sprint and have mobs nearby immediately turn and attack me. Sometimes the stealth persists though. -
I hope we're able to figure out what affects the rewards sooner rather than later. I've done 10 runs on one of my Dominators, and have gotten 10 uncommons. Not a single common ,rare, etc. Uncommons every time. I get uncommons most of the time, on most of my toons. I've started paying attention to who's getting rares. It's too early to draw any conclusions but mostly I'm seeing Scrappers and Blasters getting them. I've been working mostly Corruptors through the trials, and although I'm doing my best to apply as much damage as possible, I'm still getting uncommons almost exclusively.
Keeping in mind the possibility that there's some kind of "participation" score involved, I've been buffing and debuffing as much as possible, even when it serves no purpose. So far there hasn't been any noticeable change in my reward tables. I hope the answer isn't "play something with more damage." -
Only half? I haven't been on a single run yet where all 10 doors got taken out without having to get more temps in the courtyard. It's usually 8/10 for some reason.

The problem is they're location-based, and Marauder likes to hop around. I can keep Tar Patch double-stacked on my miasmist, but it does no good when he heads to the far corner of the map and I have to start over. Traps at least has sticky debuffs so they're not negated as soon as he leaves the area.

Quote:I think it has less to do with wanting specific ATs/powersets for the trials, and more to do with the fact that if you queue up the event will start far below the capacity of the trial. People want to do them with full leagues. I've seen plenty of leagues forming that take any and all comers, but wait until full before starting the event. The need for sifted groups to do these specifics is another topic but is at this time a real block to us embracing the system.
Until it's possible to have the queue wait for an event to be at capacity before beginning, people will continue to bypass it. -
I pretty much agree. By the time I unlocked Destiny I'd already had a tier 3 ready to slot for some time. I wonder if maybe the devs didn't account for people forming full leagues rather than using the queue to PUG. Aside from ambushes the trials have a fixed number of mobs to defeat. The larger the league, the more people getting a piece of that pie. So everyone gets a smaller piece. On the BAF trial especially it seems glacial. I seem to be averaging a bit over 10% iXP on a full league, efficient run. That's almost 20 BAFs just to unlock both slots...per toon. Seriously?
-
Quote:I've begin to really wonder about how iXP is allocated. My experiences seem fairly similar to yours. 26% is the best I've gotten from Lambda. Around 20% is more likely. I've gotten less than 10% from a successful BAF run. At that rate it takes a lot of runs to unlock all the new slots.Even on lambda when we cleared the ENTIRE streets, my % was only about 26%. Perhaps it has something to do with me playing a support type AT (dark/sonic def) and I'm not supplying enough DPS?
I know that I only get credit for kills from members of my team, and not others in the league. Beyond that I don't know what accounts for the big difference between what some are reporting getting per run. I wonder if it's mostly based around individual contribution. If so, that might explain why my support toons, which I've mostly been running so far, make such slow gains. I try to attack everything in sight and apply as much damage as possible, but it's still slow going.
There is one change I've made that's helped on the BAF. Many league leaders seem to want to put members of a single team on ambush duty, which means other teams miss out completely on a lot of iXP. In those cases I tend to just ignore instructions and go after the ambushes. It's not that I don't want to be a good team player, but if the league leader is not willing to share the wealth due to ignorance or whatever reason, I gotta do what I gotta. ;P -
Plant/Psi/Ice
Fire/Fire/Fire
Earth/Thorny/Ice
You're welcome. -
Thanks for the tips in this thread. It kind of sucks having to scale the whole chat UI down just to shrink the window, but at least it's not intruding so rudely into my screen anymore. I hope this gets fixed at some point.

The Stalker, definitely.

I've been hit hard because I'm too lazy to find new niches. All mine have bottomed out so my earnings have dropped to almost zero. Fortunately I don't have any toons in immediate need of goods, but I'm hoping things pick back up soon. Otherwise I might have to stop being lazy and that would suck.

To the OP I'd say if you're going abandon some of your bases due to the need to pay rent, you might want to just let them go inactive if it's practical to do so, rather than deleting them.
There was a comment by a redname a while back that implied that they are aware of the annoyance caused by paying base rent and will be mindful of the issue when they can get around to addressing base issues. I take that to mean that at some point in the future it may not be as much of a hassle as it is currently. The downside is that, given their history with this sort of thing, that change could be years away. -
Quote:Make them inferior to attacks native to ATs. They won't be worth taking for most builds, but for those that are severely lacking, they could be better than nothing.3) The problem with creating a power pool filled with attacks (especially ranged AoE attacks) is that anyone can take them, including the ATs that already have strong attacks, but could use this pool to get even more. It's not like only those powerset combos that are slower soloers would be able to choose it, right?

Since you've been able to spawn him successfully, care to share the trick? I've been on multiple teams that were going by what's on paragonwiki and were unable to spawn him after an hour or more of trying. That is one of the badges I just pretend doesn't exist in the game at this point, it's too frustrating trying for it.

One other thing to consider when comparing slotting it in Tactics or Build Up is that you lose some of the time while the Build Up animation is completing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the boost starts at or near the beginning of the Build Up animation, which means you're not even getting the full 5 seconds of use out of the boost. I'd guess somewhere closer to 4 seconds.

I put both procs in Cloak of Fear on my Stalkers, since they don't get damage auras. It allows me to turn CoF into a weak pseudo-damage aura.
-
That's not uncommon if you PUG on Freedom. I generally only team with people from Freedom's many global channels so I sometimes forget just how "special" Freedom PUGs can be. So you can choose to play an emp and keep yourself very busy trying to keep 7 noobs alive, or play whatever else and team with quality people. It's all in how you go about it.

Quote:It seems to me that Mace/DA is the perfect fit based on this. Strong single-target and solid AoE. A nice stun to stack with OG if you want. Not quite as smashy as Stone though.I tried an ElM/SD Brute, and found the single target damage too lacking. Single hard targets like EB Silver Mantis were just too much, and that is the only Brute I've ever had that problem on. Maybe I should give it a second go, but I'd just hate to put hours into a character that crashed and burned on Silver Mantis again.
I guess I like sets somewhere in the middle. Not entirely single-target, but not entirely AOE, either. I do like Stone. The sights and sounds of that set are amazingly fun. I just wish it had a Footstomp equivalent, or even a Dragon's Tail equivalent.
Oh heck, I think I'll just go ahead and try SM/DA. I want a Brute of every primary and every secondary, so why not. -
Sign me up. Modulo - Rad/Sonic Corruptor, though I can be flexible based on need.

It's worth noting that when Fiery Aura got updated a while back Consume was given endurance drain resistance. It grants 50% endurance drain resistance for 120 seconds (non-stacking) each time you use it, which means that with just slotting you can keep that endurance drain resistance up full-time. Whether you consider that valuable enough to pick up the power is up to you. It's certainly enough incentive for me to make room for it.

I think Group Fly would have to factor in. It's hard to beat for self-debuffing.

Quote:I'm not so concerned with how they'd go about it. I'm sure that if they decided to devote the resources, they'd go about it in a reasonably intelligent way. I don't know if they'd need to do anything though, really. The most often maligned area of the game is the hero-side low-level content. That could most use a revamp IMO.and those who want a issue or 2 solving problems, revamping old material..how do you want the devs to go about it? open a thread that is strickly monitor'd to find out what people want done? what issues they have and the go about it that way? or have some sort of one of poll created by the devs to gather the information?
Beyond that they could just use the bug reports people send in. Well, for those still sending them anyway. I know I've given up. When all the simple (and obvious) spelling/grammatical/etc. errors I've /bugged in game are still unfixed years later, why bother? I don't know if those /bug submissions are being looked at by someone and checked off as "not needing to be fixed", or if they are just so low priority that they are still low on some ridiculously long list somewhere. I don't know exactly what's involved in fixing such things, but I can't believe it's so resource intensive that they couldn't have been fixed by now if the priority for them was above zero.
