    Yes, by quite a bit. I have completely stopped playing my EM stalker after I13. There is simply no point. Now I stick with my spines.

    Before I13, there was a tradeoff. EM did WAY more damage, but spines was much easier to play because of the range. With I13, there's no tradeoff. Spines is still much easier to play...but it also does almost the same damage. AS is AS, and a critting impale isn't much different from ET now.

    Just another one of my most powereful toons made useless with I13.

    Like others mentioned, you need to edit that part. Cold epic is at least as good as Force right now, and in I14, it will likely be the ONLY feasible epic, since PFF will be useless.

    While those are good, the OP isn't "wrong". Fire is also very good still. It's not the undisputed best, but it's capable of tons of damage.

    That's not really a big deal. Most blasters take concealment anyway to get phase, and stealth is the same thing as CD.

    He will also have to change one other thing in the near future. It's that 60 month vet reward you told me about. We'll need to be able to select some "veteran" option, that will let us select a travel power at level 6.
  8. Huh? There's no such thing as sleep defense. There's sleep protection, which doesn't exist anymore....and sleep resistance, which bubbles don't have. So if your attack lands, it'll sleep them.....but that's no different from anybody else.
  9. You sound like you haven't PvP'd since I12. First of all, EM's melee is useless. It serves no purpose now that the ranged attacks do basically the same, or better damage.

    And targetting drone + webnades make the devices set. TD is huge now, since like 90% of people just play defense toons.

    Because melee attacks were made useless, all blaster secondaries are fairly bad...in essence, it really doesn't matter what you take. Each one has 1...MAYBE 2 powers that actually make it stand out. For EM, it's boost range. For MM, it's drain psyche. For devs, it's TD + webnades. All other powers in those sets serve basically no purpose.

Heck, you can even jump onto them and just barely touch them without getting stuck in the trops and detonate them without taking damage!

    Ummmm no. No competent PvP'er would even take trip mines. Devices is good because of targetting drone and webnades...that's it. But that makes it very good.

    No, but as any emp, he could be extremely helpful to any team. Compared to now, where the toon is completely useless. Can't kill anything OR be an effective buffer.

    That's not even my toon, but I know how it feels. I have toons that were made 100% useless by I13. Ironically, my "unplayable" ones stayed unplayable.

    You're welcome to your opinion of course....but it's like having an opinion that the Earth is flat.

    I just wanted to briefly go over the 4 toons you mentioned.

    Fire/Fire Brute - Was powerful before I13....didn't need any buffs really. After I13, it's pretty FotM. Not quite as much as SS/fire, but close.

    Nightwidow - Godlike before I13....overpowered to the point of brokenness after I13.

    Sonic/sonic Corruptor and a Rad/Rad defender - Both MUCH worse in I13 than before. The sonic is flat out useless now since the buffs do basically nothing, and the rad is a joke compared to what he was before.

    So please explain....how is I13 good? Out of your 4 toons, 2 great toons were turned into a joke...and 2 very powerful ones were made overpowered. I'm sorry...but I fail to see how that is good game design.
  12. Yeah, the real numbers aren't quite as high as in mids. I'm not sure why it's so off. But they're still very strong....stronger than most attacks in the game.

    I've seen good players, as a joke in fightclub 1v1's, just put kick on auto....and they win the duel! Because it does more damage than almost any of their real attacks, and recharges in like 1 second.

    The game is just a joke.

  14. There isn't really a king AT in CoH. Almost all AT's can perform well. It's just that there is a very select number of builds in each AT that are good, and the rest suck. For some AT's, it's as limited as literally like 1 or 2 viable builds.

    So yes, some blaster builds are excellent. Psy/devices is one of the best ones.

  16. Why wouldn't you just use TK thrust in that case? It's not like fear has any effect on whether someone gets KB'd or not.

    Playable blaster secondaries:
    anything...but preferably EM or devices
  20. I've heard you need 2 small oranges to be protected. But this game is so retarded, I don't want to even bother to test it. I just pretend TP protection doesn't exist...just like the devs want, for some completely inexplicable reason.

    Btw rei, if you wanna get technical...dark MM's get an autohit mez, which can help when getting TP foe'd. Gives you a couple secs of time. But yeah...other than that and the heal, the set is basically a waste.

    Storm has the same exact problem.

    Also, wouldn't you consider therm to be viable too? Considering how FotM it is for corrs, I'd assume it would be at least decent for trollers...although you'd probably need some serious +acc bonuses to get HE and MA to land reliably without aim.

    Any MM can get owned if he gets TP'd away from the pets. That's not dark's fault...that's just a MM problem. Even for FF MM's....just found out yesterday that PFF no longer protects from TP foe. I guess nothing does anymore. Yet another bug that will never be fixed.

    There's no doubt that some other MM sets are way better, but /dark isn't as unplayable as many claim.

    Wouldn't go that far. Against anybody without defense, they are pretty amazing actually. Basically if you can land the heal, you're pretty much impossible to kill. It heals all your pets (and yourself) from like 0 to full in 1 heal, and recharges fast.

    The problem is defense. Against defense sets, you're completely hopeless. If you can't land the heal, you're dead in seconds.

    Exactly. Which is why the devs completely ignored that, and just nerfed the defense and elusivity of the power, leaving the recharge as is. Wouldn't expect anything else.
