I have an idea. Get rid of suppression altogether, so good players can evade by using actual skill, as before. Then hibernate can just be removed from the game. Sound good?

Quote:After all the lies and bs, I can't believe people still trust anything the devs say. You don't think it's logical to assume that after I13 has been proven to be a complete failure, the guy in charge would say "oh yeah...I'm not actually in charge"? Come on, that's the oldest trick in the book. Pretend someone ELSE is really in charge, and HE is responsible for all the bad stuff. Of course can't actually say who it is....just that it's someone else.
I was just as happy to Castle bash as the next person till i read his post about being talked into things. Now, i think we should all just accept that PvP 2.0 is here to stay an it's probably no individual Dev's fault if a Dev at all, and just try to make the best of it.
Castle was the lead designer. To me that says that *gasp* he's the lead designer. Meaning he makes the calls, and if he completely disagrees with something, that something doesn't get implemented. But I guess he's only the lead designer until something bad happens. Then it's someone else's fault. But again, can't actually say who. It's a sekrit! -

You know...this made me laugh.
You want to know what I hate? I'll tell you! People who feel entitled to abuse others, simply because they can. Castle
He must really hate himself now. The guy destroyed a game's entire community, with no logical reason whatsoever. Simply because he could. Hypocrisy ftw. -
1. Your avatar is about 10 times bigger than it should be.
2. Definitely build for +HP and recharge. I don't see how you could possibly get high defense on a fire tank, considering there is ZERO defense in the set. Basically you just want as much health as possible, and healing flames to recharge as fast as possible. That's about it. -
Just heals, +tohit on forge, -def on melt armor. PB is much more useful on a set like /poison. But it's the same set as the web, so you can't go wrong.
The only other option is leviathan for Ko Blow. Heard that's good too. -
Yeah I'd do it. Ice is pretty horrible now, but I just enjoy respeccing
-
Yeah they're useless. BS does the same damage as fireblast basically, except one is melee and one is 80 base range lol. Genius design, huh.
TF is still ok, basically just for the burst damage. But in reality, you can probably do better damage just chaining your blasts. Can get off like 3 ranged attacks in the time it takes you to get into melee and activate TF, which will do more damage than TF. But at least it has SOME use. -
I disagree. Don't even have blaze in my build anymore. With some half-decent recharge, either flares or fireblast is recharged all the time. And relying on just those 2, I can pew pew at people from ridiculously far away. With blaze, I'd have to basically cut the distance in half.
The only time I can see blaze being useful is when you're severely slowed and the first 2 blasts aren't recharging. But then you'd really only get to use blaze once, and then it would also not be recharging.
I just have the first 2 blasts, TF, and the snipe. Barely ever use the snipe, and TF even less. -
Yep, it did. They were supposedly one of the top EU teams at the time, or maybe the top one. They didn't last long on the US servers though, because of the time difference.

It's been like this since elec came out...many months ago. What makes you think it will suddenly be changed? You think that all these months they haven't known about the issue?
-
People don't use cages in zone PvP. Well, not regularly at least. Could be because FF and sonic powersets has been turned to wastes of space, so nobody in their right mind would play one.
And in case you didn't know, team arena PvP is completely dead, thanks to the devs' extensive efforts to kill it. So yeah, caging is a total non-issue these days.
Btw, I can't believe the PvE carebears aren't complaining about this all over the place. I got some therm buffs from someone that made his therm powerset black. And it made my toon basically invisible...could not see the costume at all. I'd imagine lots of carebears seeing that as griefing and complaining about it. -
Sounds like the Euros finally caught up
Couple years ago elec/EM blasters were all the rage over there, while here people just used fire and ice. Guess it was just a fad. Good too, since it made no sense, with fire and ice being so much better. -

After posting in this thread yesterday, I was in RV and I saw some person named Divine something. Guess what he was doing. That's right, talking trash to someone lol.
I'm glad the only other notable Max in this game was Maximum, and he's gone -
What I wanna know is why the Europeans call it "Zonal" when here we just say "zone".

Both are good, but yeah, nin will take a big investment to become unkillable. Regen is unkillable out of the box, with SO's. As long as the player isn't horrible and/or it's not like 6v1 odds.
I have both stalkers, and in RV, the nin is almost godlike when retsu is up. When it's not though, it's literally like playing without a secondary. Everybody hits me with every single shot. If you can spend enough money to get to retsu levels without having retsu, or to have it almost perma, it would be pretty game changing.
Meanwhile, on my regen I get hit with everything, but I can healzor myself. With DP, IH, MoG, phase, and hiber....yeah, it's tough to kill a regen.
Not sure why anybody would do BS for a stalker though....other than style/originality. It seems that anything BS can do, elec and EM can do better. -
The reticle is only really noticeable if you don't have other perception powers already, since it basically takes you from zero to something. But when you already have tactics, FA, or anything else, it just gives slightly more +perc. It's not that noticeable. Worth having if you have the extra slot, but unless you have tons of respecs, I wouldn't respec just to put it in. Unless it's your only +perc.

Sounds like a case of mistaken identity.
Divine, meet Conflict, one of the top players left on Freedom.
Con, meet Divine, one of the best oldschool stalkers in the game. -
AS'ing is only easy when you team up, preferably with doms. Actually that gives me an idea. Teaming up is overpowered. It clearly gives an advantage to those that are teamed. The poor casual soloers are left out. This is clearly the reason why PvP has failed.
So with the theme of I13 in mind, I suggest we balance the playing field. Anybody on a team should get a -50% damage debuff, as well as slowed recharge. Perhaps throw in a new feature I call auto death. If you're on a team and you haven't died in 10 minutes, you are killed automatically.
I think this would make the game more fair and keep those damn cheaters from teaming up. Everybody will have to fight like tru warier.
Thoughts? -
Accuracy works against elusivity, which barely exists anymore, so it's not that big of a deal. Tohit works against defense, which is still common. As a blaster, aim/buildup should give you all the tohit you need, so tactics isn't needed. And as long as you slot your attacks with at least 2 SO's worth of acc, you should be ok. I personally still slot mine with 3 acc. Started that in I13 because of elusivity, and never changed back.
If you're still missing with that, it must be on builds with really high defense like elude stalkers or something. In that case, that's intended. -
If you die on a regen scrapper to a single /pain MM, it sounds like you don't really know what you're doing. Tip for the future: don't just jump in the middle of all the pets and stand there for the next 30 seconds while you die.

I can't even imagine how easy the game must be with builds like that.
Real men play with SO's! lol
