JAL did a few pentads, and they were fun. Definitely not high scores, but people did die. But that was when a single blaster was a threat...when they didn't need to spam attacks for 20 seconds to get 1 kill.

Anybody with super speed can run over caltrops almost like they're not even there.

I did one base raid. It was my PvP SG against the top base raid team of the time (no idea on the name anymore), and it just showed how far behind the curve those teams were. We beat them like 300 to 2 or something on the first raid we ever did. Pretty sure we never did any after that, since if we beat the best team that badly, there wasn't really any point in it.
All I remember is that the lag was totally unplayable. I was completely frozen for most of the match. I think it may have been something to do with my computer, but also there was some issue with the raids being much laggier than normal PvP for some reason.
Anyway, it would definitely be cool to see them back. With zone PvP becoming a joke after I13, and arena PvP becoming a complete case of haves and have-nots, maybe base raiding would infuse some excitement into the game.
But considering that most bugs exist for an average of 2-3 years, and some are simply never fixed at all.....yeah, the chances of raids being fixed are pretty close to zero. -
If either has half a brain, it will be 0-0 100% of the time.

Imo, no MM can solo kill anything that doesn't want to die. I mean, you go 1 super jump away, and the MM can't follow. Poison can do better with all its debuffs, but the target is still free to run away before the henchmen can do too much damage.

I honestly don't think that the players have any power to accomplish anything here. The devs have shown very clearly that they do not care about the players, but only about their own personal "goal".
It's been a year, and they still refuse to admit that I13 was a mistake. A year later, they're still lying. No need to call it anything else. They're lying, just like they always have. Every word they say is PR bs. Which is why I13 is still a "success", and why they're "happy" with PvP in the game. Everybody with half a brain knows that's bs, and they cannot possibly be stupid enough to actually believe that. But they keep on lying.
Until they can at least be honest with the playerbase, I guarantee nothing will change. And all of you will just be wasting your time. Just like you did before, and just like others did for YEARS before you. Keep in mind...since the release of PvP in CoH, what did the YEARS of player input accomplish? That's right, I13. -

Yeah like the others have said, PvP is pretty bad. It used to be decent, not great but not horrible either. That was changed in I13 when they completely redesigned the game. They ignored ALL input from PvP'ers, and purposely did basically the opposite of what we wanted. They were warned that they'd kill the game. They completely ignored the warnings.
And now we have this trash that can barely even be called PvP. It's a completely different system from PvE, and a much inferior one. Basically nothing makes any logical sense, and everything is balanced around random whims of the developers.
So yeah, if you have nothing to lose, you can check it out to see for yourself. But if you're looking at this game just for PvP, look elsewhere. -
Everybody should just do pentads. There, problem solved lol.

Any melee set with inherent kb protection is 100% immune to all kb.
Only exceptions are widow/fort and Kheldian dwarf form kb protections. They're bugged and get suppressed when you're mezzed. -

Quote:It's really not growing. I haven't seen it a single time, personally. The devs can find a solution to an growing number of Hiberqitter Haxx.
What about this: A person in hibernate uses a 2nd account to recall friend himself the split second he comes out of hiber. Yes, it's easily done with accurate timing.
Is that an exploit too? Because the result is exactly the same as logging out. The person gets away with 0 chance of death. So it's an exploit? -
Chances are, it won't apply to PvP. You know, because defenders are already too powerful. I hear if you take like 8 rad defenders, they can just fly through missions and kill NPC's really fast. So this will be considered OP in PvP

Quote:Unfortunately for you, it doesn't matter what you believe. The issue is caused by how the logout system works in CoH. If you think they are going to completely redesign the game after like 7 years because ONE total person complained about it in those 7 years, you should probably stop thinking that.I believe that Hibernate was not designed to let a person log of for two seconds and come back to play with a fresh twenty second PvP countdown. In my opinion, this is a big time abuse of a power. A Design Flaw / Exploit
This game is FULL of real game-breaking bugs, all of which are ignored for years. This issue is simply meaningless compared to some of the other bugs we have. Learn to deal with it. -

Yep, my nin stalker could solo full teams because he was pretty much unhittable. My DM/SR scrapper was a beast, even though DM sucked just as much as now....just because he basically could not possibly die. My widow was also godlike.
When fighting anything defense based, you could basically just blindly spam all your attacks and pray for luck. And you needed amazing luck to kill anything, since landing 3-4 attacks in a row was almost impossible. Yeah, it was stupid. For that issue, the game was at its absolute worst, imo.
I do think we need more elusivity. Not what we had before, but more than 5%. Then again, the whole game is so messed up at this point with the 2 billion "PvP entry fee", I doubt anything short of a complete market/drops redesign will accomplish anything. -
A one man cult, yes.

The problem with delusional people is you can't argue with them. You know, because they're delusional.

Quote:I played with Anichi too. Yes, he was a good rad. But I'd take Peritus, Positron, or Conflict all ahead of him as overall players.I can't wait for you to argue that Peritus was the best.
Anichi was the best player to come from Justice. You're wrong. End.
He was also a really cocky, really childish brat, just like his butt-buddy sorrows. Granted, sorrows was a lot worse at that. -
