  1. Ah... I didn't realize that. Thanks for the info!! I think spiritual is the way to go for me then. Since I have T4 ageless, end isn't an issue for me any more and I can always use more recharge. : )

    Has anyone with stone armor running granite taken the musculature alpha for the run speed enhance? Or am I reading the effects of that alpha incorrectly? It seems like it would be a good thing for stone armor tanks to pick up. Plus the extra damage is always good too.

  4. Hi, anyone have a fire/dark tank? Curious to know how well soul drain and burn work together. I didn't know how it compared to a build up power in other secondaries.
  5. Hi guys, I had a few questions for the dark/dark experts out there. Would this combo have any chance as an AV killer? Also, how successful would it be at farming if you had enough recharge to perma soul drain and spam dark obliteration plus dmg from death shroud. Oh and throwing in a void judgement in there for added awesomeness. I'd like to occasionally do both along with the other game content and just wanted to get some input on what challenges I would face. Thanks.

    SS/DA/Soul Brute

    Ah I didn't even think of claws as an aoe option. That might be a good choice too. I hear what you are saying about the mu mastery but I really enjoy making concept toons and would really only pick that patron set if I took elec melee. Plus the fact that I can't color customize those powers is also a turn off for me. I know I am limiting myself being like that but the look of my toons is just as important to me.

    Damage auras

    Do damage auras or aoe attacks like quills break hide? Or can you jump in a crowd and fire off your first attack and then the damage auras would kick in? I thought I saw something about this but can't seem to find it and forgot how it actually worked. I was thinking of rolling a spines/dark stalker and wanted to know how those powers worked before I started working out the build.

    SS/DA/Soul Brute

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone has rolled an SS/dark/soul brute and their thoughts on the combo. Footstomp paired with dark obliteration while rage was glowing thru the shadow armor seemed like to would be pretty cool while killing baddies. Plus, the void attack from judgement would go well with my concept too. I know dark regen is an awesome heal but does it also do damage too? I guess you can tell I'm thinking more of an aoe killing style. I know there are better aoe primaries to choose but I'm tired of elec and fire and haven't really played super strength much.

  11. Yeah I guess its my own fault for not understanding the "rules." They were not going to reward me with the NOTW... They referred me to the forums to post my feedback about the situation so the developers would see it... the best part was that I did the STF not even knowing about the incarnate stuff til later... I happen to be in IP going to the tailor and someone invited me to join... If I would have known, I would have unlocked the alpha first...
  12. Ok I was told b/c I did the STF before I unlocked my alpha, I am not able to get the NOTW now. So even though I unlocked my alpha power and ran the STF again multiple times after that, its too late... that doesn't really seem fair... its not like I wanted any other bonuses other than that... good times!!!
  13. yeah its not worth the slot - just slot the other 5 of the set for the bonuses and put that sixth slot somewhere else you might need it
  14. Aw man.. then, nope, I don't have it.... I have a support ticket open and hoping they can resolve my issue soon... although I really don't want to have to so the STF again.
  15. I did it 2x before the hotfix and again after the fix. I should be able to see it in my incarnate salvage, right?
  16. If you mean select them as the reward... then no. I selected essence of the incarnate. I selected merits the second run... I was not alpha slotted either time for those runs. I finally created the nerve alpha this morning, slotted that and ran the STF again and still nothing... When I look under my incarnate abilities under convert and it says Notice of the Well breakdown... you need one... it says I don't have one so I'm assuming I still never received it... and as I mentioned before, it aint in my incarnate salvage... this is so weird. I sent a petition, I hope I can get it before the time runs out...

    I'm a lvl 50 dom (hero) with the tier 1 nerve alpha slotted and I've run the STF 3 times but I still did not get the Notice of the Well. I've looked in my incarnate salvage and nothing there. Am I doing something wrong or is anyone else having this problem also?

    I was hoping you guys can take a look at my current build for my elec/psi dom and let me know if there is anything you would recommend I change. As of right now, I am absolutely loving this toon but wasn't sure if I've maximized it to its full potential. Also, I have yet to solo an AV but that might be b/c this isn't a good combo for it or I just don't know what I'm doing (which could be the case since this is my first dominator).

  19. Hi guys,

    Has anyone tried to solo AVs with a fire/kin? If so, just curious if you built in some type of soft capped defense or tried to get as close as possible... probably ranged? I have an old fire/kin/fire that I used to use for farming but now I'd like to dust him off and see if I can build a solid AV killer. Just wanted to know if it was possible and if I should focus mainly on getting soft capped defense or worry about recharge, damage, etc. first.

    Ok thanks for the info!! I've been cruising through some of the posts as well... I really like electric on my melee characters, is it any good for Dominators in terms of AV killing?

    Hi guys,

    Although I've been playing COH/COV for years, I've always been a melee guy (scraps, tanks, stalkers). Well, with double XP weekend here, I'd like to try out something new and was wondering what the best primary/secondary choices are for mainly AV killing, as well as farming a typical warrior map. I'm sure all the power choices are good but never playing a dominator I'd like to get some feedback from the experts.

    So since assault only provides around 10% dmg boost and hard on the endurance, would a better option be trying to squeeze in maybe a 9% dmg buff from IO sets or do they not really work the same way? I'm thinking that might be a better option and this way it also opens up a power choice slot

  24. Hmm, that does sound rather good especially for secondaries that lack or have little resistance. And, I guess, the in the of super reflexes, kinetic melee seems to be a good primary to choose.
