  1. See i couldnt see it being terribly hard to do, generic female and male charecters in several colours, then use a selection of addon parts to make your charecter lol.

o we have a mirror version of Atlas Park? I'd probably suggest that Nova Praetoria is it, but only in the sense that it is the heartbeat of Praetoria as Atlas Park is the pulse of Paragon City. Both cities are where the decisions are made and the important players gather, but that is where the similarities end. One thing that you will not see in Praetoria is a war wall, but sonic fencing to keep the citizens safe from all harm, perceived or otherwise.
Yeyy no war walls... although sonic walls sound very similar lol.
  3. Think the fact its not a complete demon set now might make the difference between me buying it and not buying it in all honesty.

I dont have a wolf/fox charecter but i think I could probably find a creative use for the tail at least that doesnt involve squeeling cows.
  4. Its makes me laugh how people are willing to jump in and not actually help nowadays on the forums anymore and much more likely to try make you look like an idiot for the sake of it.

I play on a laptop now which isnt amazing and isnt UM capable. Its a very old Toshiba satellite model, 2.53ghz p4 with 1gb ram, and a 32mb geforce 420GO graphics card which cost me £100 yet I can still team perfectly fine and I do frequently, still loading faster than a lot of players and definately on par with other people plus I use high settings on charecter quality etc. I do use low quality world effects however though and yes most of the options are blacked out, hence why Im going for an upgrade. The point I'm making is in reply to Kitsune knight, who stated a laptop at £300 or under wouldnt play none ultra mode.

The point is, people act like laptops are incapable of doing anything and there more powerful than people give them credit for. Yes the hard drives suck and most are onboard graphics but will good shopping you can get some pretty capable ones.

I got my friends laptop make and model btw. All the info can be found here:

    http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/lapto...specifications

To add to this, another of my friends has just paid £550 for an Acer laptop that is fully capable of running crysis on high settings as well with only a tiny bit of lag. He didnt tell me his model number but Im trying to get it now.
  5. Theres a monumentally huge difference between CoH and Crysis in requirements....

My friend plays UM fine on a similar laptop to the one I mentioned above. If your going to attempt to flame at least try get your facts right
  6. For £1500 the laptop better be capable of running crysis on high settings nevermind CoH...

I know I can get a UM capable laptop for around £450 mark with one of the samsung laptops (model number I cant remember off the top of my head) which was 2.2ghz dual core p4-M, with 4gb ram and a ati mobility card (forget number there too)

Problem is it would mean waiting another month to get enough cash together

Nope, i just saw the same things with different colours and occasionally a chest detail and differing heads

    Nothing really unique
  8. With payday coming up, I'm going to be looking to upgrade my prehistoric laptop to something shiny that will support ultra mode.

However Im from the UK and my cash is limited to around £300, that being said can anyone suggest a decent laptop for around this price mark?

Ive been looking around ebay and theres some decent laptops there but I would prefer to buy from a more trusted resource if possible since you never know how many times the seller has dropped it and stuff until you get it.
  9. I think what you have to look at here as well as the game is the developers behind it.

Sony are known to release good games originally then destroy them completely a year later with an entire game changing update, they have done it several times now and for that reason alone I wont be buying into DCUO.

The store clerks will always push DCUO over CoH simply because DCUO is the new shiny complete game where as GR is just an addon. They did the same thing with CO as well and look where that ended up. I do feel DCUO is by far the bigger threat of the two and Im not sure if CoX will stand up to the release without something major to keep players here that will make the game live longer than 50.

Looking at incarnates I'm not quite sure it will be enough and GR does look pretty but Im not quite sure its enough to compete simply because DCUO is the new game and GR is an addon. Just like the store clerks, people are always interested in the new shiny, and DCUO is simply newer and shinier than GR will be since we already know CoX mechanics, powersets and gameplay etc.

Fire melee was a pain to generate fury for me because I didnt take scorch but brawl/boxing offset this and put me to max fury pretty quickly without being hit.
  12. Having played a brute in RWZ and ITF loads of times with tankers now, I can safely say nothing is going to be overshadowed.

Brutes do take slightly longer to gain fury on smaller teams because they arent taking damage as often since the tanker is holding it but you can still build fury and nothing stops the brute charging into the next mob and pulling it towards the tanker and taking the excess agro for him/herself.

Brute/tankers play fairly similar to how tankers/scrappers play now, brute has a more of a free run whilst tanker takes the majority of the heat.
  13. With defenders change of inherant its sparked an idea that might make a tanker worth playing more.

When in a team, give tankers the gauntlet ability, increasing there taunt with every attack like is currently active, but solo give them a boost in another area like endurence usage similar to defenders inherant.

We all know that tankers can be a real pain to run unless your a specific build type because of all the toggles you have to run, particularly under level 20 because of endurence and solo there powers drain loads of endurence as well on top of toggles.
Sets and stuff do reduce it a lot but if tankers are the defencive option why not give them defencive help compared to scrappers damage boost?

I disagree however with the OPs suggestion of -tohit because that would just be a bonus to dark melee and make shield or ice + dark melee the new fotm build. Endurence reduction would benefit all tankers.
  14. I think the only piece i can actually see myself using are the organic thorn gloves and thats it really...

The rest of the pieces are so limited into how you can actually use them and not make them look out of place its not worth trying.

I think if they are going to make a demon pack they need to sort out the annoying squeeling pigs as well because having a squeel every 2s at BM is getting really irritating...

Also why do all these booster packs have only sword customisation pieces and never guns or bows? Three packs now have had swords in them but none have had guns or bows in them...
Valkyrie, ninja and now mutant pack all have swords, I really feel that if your going to give demons more options, then you should probably make a dual pistols one as well because I'm guessing the reason for the demon pack was to promote GR's demon summoning even more so why not promote your other currently available set as well?

Something along the lines of this:

  15. Its defo worth taking and slotting but as said above, its broken and everyone else seems to use it so why not?

Nowadays dark armor is looking so much more PvP worthy than it was... fear resists and resists to end drain/recovery debuffs, think il be trying it out soon myself.

    World Cup 2010

Well not long to go now, already got the booze ready

Will be straight on CoH after to let the Americans know how much better we are... again
  17. ok but what about pve side with npcs?

Sorry I should have mentioned that was pve not pvp all i know is numina was hitting me a lot on my SR without purples even with elude up
  18. Also on an unrelated question, is psy fitting into ranged, melee or AoE damage now when it comes to defence?

I was argueing with someone earlier who was telling me that it does now but ever since i can remember ive been told its unpositional and only gets affected by psy defences, then he started telling me psy has a higher accuracy than any other attack...

Personally I think he was talking crap but just thought its better off checking in case I missed something.

Why do you persist in using a color that makes reading your posts difficult to a significant portion of your intended audience? Is it because you feel that anyone using the reddish forum background is not worthy to consider your ideas because they must obviously play villainside more than heroside? Personally, I have chosen to use the red background because I don't like the particular blue hue chosen for that background.

I think I am likely going to be joining LISAR and just skip reading your posts in the future - which is a pity since you have had some good ideas.
Simply because the ones complaining are the ones who usually come on to either flame or make worthless comments all over suggestions board in the first place and offer no constructive feedback other than 'dont like it'.
I know it doesnt agree with the villains scheme but it gives the nay sayers something else to whinge about other than the suggestions made so doesnt clog up the suggestion with posts saying 'dont like it because i enjoy telling people there ideas are bad with no real reason behind it'

My points been made. The entire point of a booster pack is to get costume pieces in the first place, not just a temp power. Why comment on a post about booster packs that are going to be added anyway (when the devs release them) simply stating you dont agree with them?
Goes back to my above point about making unconstructive pointless comments for the sake of it.

A big blank space where the WW interface should be - or a model of the interface that was not functional? Ugh. And the ability to teleport to your base from anywhere (on a long recharge) is already in game as a Veteran's Reward at 24 months.
No, everyone could see it of course but people clicking on it would get a popup box telling them its not available or something. If it was functional for people that hadnt even bought the pack, no one would buy it other than one person per SG :P

For other items it would just be visual anyway, not everyone is going to want that part unless they design bases but the WW/BM access terminal from base would get a lot of people buying it to escape the lag and general annoyances in these public areas.

As for the teleport, I realised that after I made the post but forgot to edit perhaps a power that reduces selling fee to 0 in auction for a set amount of time?

I wasnt thinking of just PvP but I was thinking about that as well though. The build I was thinking about was a DP/Therm corruptor. Thinking Chem rounds and heat exhaustion stacked together would be some fairly decent -damage, then I could get tough and an epic power shield too.
Plus with heat exhaustions -recovery and -regen it would eventually wear most builds down if it can survive the incoming damage long enough.
  21. Also to add to this, with GR around the corner I think a good PR booster would be if they released a praetorian themed pack with some praetorian style pieces in. Im not directly relating to any particular enemy group in praetoria, more like the style of things in praetoria as a whole.
  22. So from what you guys are saying its not as useful as it would be combined with resists in PvP since everyone will have high resists?
  23. Ok thanks for the info guys.

Should help planning a most resistant corruptor
  24. As title says, do +resists and -damage do the same thing in terms of reducing incoming damage or is one more effective than the other?
  25. If only you could get it to do that with all background sound effects without having to mute everything when a cattle summoner shows up
