Check the members list and see if you're already on it. Most of you already are, and if you're not, just let me know either here (slow) or via note on dA (fast). I generally add folks if they watch the club and I go to their page and see they have some reference to CoX on it, either a drawing or a character reference. Those of you who play the game, have watched the club, but don't have anything on your dA page to indicate you play CoX will need to let me know so I can add you.

That sucks, but people can report you just as easily as you can report them. Your account may be suspended, but you're still able to send messages to the help desk and ask them how long it will be. Just be nice and don't spam them =/

You can see stamps on the Shoutboard of the CoA journal, however to link stamps using dA's :thumb#: system, you have to be a subscriber.

Well, with the CoA roster showing up on people's pages yet not everyone knows about City of Artists, I figured I'd better hop in here and do a little info post.

City of Artists is a club on DeviantArt for artists, writers, and other deviants who also play City of Heroes. You don't have to be an artist to join. You just have to play City of Heroes and have a dA account.

Some of the things on the table that this club will be offering:

-Kiribans aka Pageview Captures - A list of people offering kiribans. Don't let them take you by surprise again!

-Commissions - List of artists currently accepting commissions

-Contests - Other people's contests/COA contests

-Current WIPs - General WIPs

-Featured Artist - Artist bio, thumbnails

-Featured Character - Someone OTHER than the normal art mongers main characters (not that we don't love you TA & Buck)

-Monthy Jams - List of other artists doing jams/COA jams

-Seeking - A lot of artists are very generous when it comes to their artwork, saying "if you want to ink it/color it, go ahead", but sometimes people are looking for it specifically. This is where "I have this pencil, I need an inker" type things would go. This is meant to be more in a professional aspect than a general cattlecall.

-Tutorials/Workshops - Similar to a jam, only with focus on increasing skill, rather than just for fun. For example, practice with line of action, anatomy, poses, composition, inking, or what have you.

In the Gallery itself -

-Featured art/artist that would be in the "Favorite Deviation" spot

-Sample commissions ( example of X artist's Y style of art ) with contact info, website link, price, etc

-Artists samples - not quite as specific as sample commissions, perhaps a single picture with a collage of work for a particular artist, with contact info and bio underneath

-WIPs that desire more in-depth critiques, or perhaps redline projects

-Contest pictures - Color this, ink this- type contests


Give CoA some love! Add City of Artists to your watchlist. Our first contest is going on right now and prizes include dA subscriptions and sketches from BAS, Turkey Lurkey, and Lil2Saturn. Future contests will include a sketch by Juggertha, dA subscriptions, and CoX game cards!

I get a server error every. single. time. I've tried to go to curse gaming, even with using the links people have posted here as examples. I think it's a hint for me =/

I don't understand why it seems like people are getting uptight because a lot of us chose to stay with DA? Just out of curiosity, I tried to register on that site too, and I also got that wonderful error message. That doesn't exactly make me want to put stuff up there. Is DA perfect? No, but all my stuff is already there, and if you hit City of Artists you'll find a huge list of artists who use DA and play CoX.

I would much rather see a fan-art site based here on the official site, than anywhere else. But since that's not available, DA is the next best thing for me.

There are a few art sites out there, but I think most people stick to one simply because of the time it takes to properly manage an art account. I barely have time for what I do have.
