Never cared a whit for the rankings

Strongly suggest you go through these tutorials.

Most battles you come across in normal missions have two different enemy groups taking mock swings at each other. Is there a way to do this in MA? The only battle option I see (aside from making one group ally) pretty much has them killing each other long before the player even gets there.
-
Shouldn't this be in the suggestion forum now?
-
Hmm, it could very well be related somehow. Access granted, access taken away? I think I'll try to do the cape mission on a character that doesn't have it yet and see if it works. Maybe the affected characters were unflagged for capes?
*edit*
When I went to the tailor with the intention of taking a screenshot of the bug, my game crashed when I selected capes. When I logged back in, the problem was fixed.
What happened? The world may never know! -

They also mention that on their character w/ the single-shoulder veteran cape, all the options are there. This leads me to believe they have the Valkyrie cape selected, and are looking for the various patterns under it.
It is never stated by the OP that they did the missions to unlock the normal cape; only that they have access to capes. My newly made characters have access to capes, but have to wait until lvl 20 to actually unlock the regular ones...
[/ QUOTE ]
Eh, I'm familiar with the OP's posting history and do not find them to be someone who might overlook such an obvious explanation. I guess we can all have our "duh" moments, but maybe the OP will chime in soon and let us know whether or not they've done the cape mission on the character(s) in question.

Thank you Hellguard, that made me smile
I have done the cape mission on all characters that are capable of doing so. This happens on both my villains and heroes. One of my heroes is currently wearing a starshot pattern cape, but when I went to fix a color on it, it automatically changed it to Valkyrie -- much like a costume piece that is 'old', however I have no other options except the Valkyrie cape. -
I recently picked up the mac pack, and now whenever I take a character with access to capes (or wearing a cape) to the tailor, it automatically changes that cape to Valkyrie, with no other options. No matter what kind of cape I pick (full mantle, half mantle, etc) Valkyrie is my only choice. On my veteran shoulder cape, all the secondary options are there.

Nexus Argos

Nooo, no resemblance there at all. Well, except for...the entire costume, mask, and hairstyle. Other than that...well, okay, most of the background. But other than that....He might be a little taller! So totally different!
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok, I've been lurking and watching this for a while now, but I have to say something at this.
The costumes are a passing resemblance.
Nexus uses red and blue. Marvel uses red and black.
Nexus uses solid blue pants with starshot pattern, and blue boots. Marvel uses super black underwear of doom on the outside, red pants with no pattern, and black boots.
Nexus uses a V pattern to bring the blue onto his chest. Marvel has a straight over-the-shoulder block of black.
Nexus has a cape and brooches. Marvel doesn't appear to have a cape.
Nexus has flared gloves and folded boots. Marvel's costume is smooth.
There are not enough good male hairstyles to fault Nexus's choice, nor compare it to Marvel, because then a large quantity of male characters are also guilty.
There are cowls that are a closer match to Marvel, yet Nexus uses the very common "ruin" style.
[/ QUOTE ]
The alterations you list are actually fairly minor. Combine the similarities PLUS the mention in his bio that his character was inspired by Captain Marvel, and the similarity is far more than passing. Even without that mention, the resemblance is INSTANTLY noticeable. That's more than "passing".
[/ QUOTE ]
I was speaking strictly of the costume, and it's not as obvious as you're making it out to be, for the reasons I listed. When you consider the inherent similarity of some of the costume pieces available to players (Steel Helm, for example) I think this costume is a good example of NOT being similar. -

Doing a Google search for Nexus Argos came up with full bio page with photo.
https://www.virtueverse.com/index.ph...;printable=yes
The character is almost an exact clone of Captain Mar'vell, even the bio. The kicker? at the bottom of the page it reads "Character influenced by Captain Mar-vell from Marvel Comics "

Now, I am not commenting one way or the other about the GMs decision to generic, as that is completely between the GM and Nexus. I am simply commenting, from an artist's perspective, that the costumes are in fact not immediately similar.
If people are reporting and GMs are generic'ing at this level of semblance, then every female character that uses the plant pieces should be generic'd as a clone of Poison Ivy. Every male character that uses a hat and a gas mask should be generic'd as a clone of the Sandman. Every male character that uses a hat and the reaper mask should be generic'd as a clone of the Shadow. Every male character that uses blue, red and yellow as a color combination should be generic'd as a clone of Superman.
As a matter of fact, let's just generic everyone because I'm sure that most characters could possibly bear a passing resemblance to something trademarked, and if passing resemblance is enough to get generic'd, then a vast majority of characters are at risk. -
They might MIGHT have some kind of process when Going Rogue comes out.

I would rather be in an SG with 10 great friends and zero prestige than a group with 100 perfect strangers and 20 billion prestige.
Rank only shows how good your SG is at getting prestige. It doesn't actually say anything about the group itself.
[/ QUOTE ]
Base must not matter to you then?
Actually, for us, we have enough Prestige that base edits won't be an issue for a couple years or so. So I guess sg mode actually does not matter as much at this point, other than rank.
Right now, we have 53 mill prestige laying around...working on editing the base, but it's already full sized secure as it is. Truthfully, I could free up even more by going with a standard plot, but I like hte idea of dual power supplies and dual controls.
[/ QUOTE ]
You can make a fully functional base with very little prestige, thanks to the pricing revamp. Even if my SG did not have a base of its own, we're in coalition with enough people who do that it wouldn't be an issue if we didn't have any prestige. My point still stands. -

Agreed, Doggies have perfect slow resitance and take about Mag 10 immobilize to lockdown. You're better off trying hold or stun Warvolves.

Same thing with Rularuu Brutes, but I don't think they run normally.

I wouldn't call anything they do "running" anyway. -

I dunno.. I'm kinda regretting hitting the refresh button. It looks way too busy for me. The background peeking between the text blocks constantly drags my eye away from the text. I'm having a hard time actually -reading- anything on the site now
I want my blue back. Or at least the option to skin the site. -
This is a tribute video I did THREE years ago. It's just meant as a little memoriam for one of my SG mates who passed away. All the text, screenshots and video were all I was given to work with afterwards. I wish I could have done better but I was still learning at the time.

Its actually you who doesn't know what hes talking about hedgehog. As a matter of fact, the last time the devs ran their script to release names from inactive accounts, I was able to secure about 50% of the names I had been wanting.
[/ QUOTE ]
As they say in the stock market, past success is not an indicator of future performance.
Even if I accept your 50% number as true, hedgehog is correct. Nobody has no way to know if any one name he wants is presently owned by an active account or not. I would much prefer a system that was more informative: instead of saying "this name is taken!" it should say "this name has been taken by an active subscriber."
Or it could say "This name has been taken by an inactive subscriber. If this subscriber does not return in [47] days, the name will be released. Would you like to reserve it?"
Or it could say, "This name has been taken by an inactive subscriber. If this subscriber does not return in [47] days, the name will be released. It has already been reserved by a paying subscriber."
Running the name-wipe script on a constant basis is a poor solution and it doesn't stop anyone from complaining that All The Good Names Are Taken By Lazy Non-Customers Etc.

That is a pretty spiffy idea. -
I don't think there's going to be any problems with this as far as the EULA goes, because he's still going to be playing while this timed macro is running.
