It's 9.99, and yes, it's the only way to rename (save getting hit with a generic stick, which is rare.)

You'll have much better luck by, say, using the Search function to find players around your level who are on teams (greyed out names) and asking them if they have room. -

I have to wonder if you're talking about your "powers" tab rather than the actual level up selection. Your "Powers" tab will show all powers that you could possibly have access to, but they will be greyed out if you haven't trained them.

Base crafting/items use invention salvage now, so what you're actually doing is converting base salvage into invention salvage. As to what you can do with it:
Sell it as is
Convert to brainstorm, sell
Conver to brainstorm, convert to invention salvage, sell
Convert to brainstorm, convert to invention salvage, use as usual -
I actually crashed for the first time in months while trying to access WW on Virtue. Given that the markets are a separate database/server, I have to wonder if they're having problems with it(them). By the way, has anyone noticed a difference between red/blue?
