Quote:Sure, if you want to try to shoehorn everyone into that little box. Many, many others, myself included, use AE as an RP tool to create situations and stories that would not otherwise be possible - including having characters on the same account meet.Just to clarify because you don't seem to be aware of what the AE actually is.
Architect Entertainment is a company created by Dr. Thaddeus Aeon AQSA, with Crey Industries funding. The prime motive of the company is to bring opportunity to all citizens of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles to create their very own pockets of theoretical existence for others to experience first hand as a new form of entertainment. The Mission Architect is the means by which these virtual realities are created and experienced.
In other words the characters in the missions you make for your alts to play are not real. Your alts are not actually meeting each other. The AE is basically the place your characters go to play videogames. The MA is a giant holographic video arcade. -
Have you tried /stuck ? Also, what server are you on?

Since it doesn't look like paragonwiki has been updated to the new SSK rules, I'll just briefly say this:
Your XP is based more on the mobs con color rather than actual level.
If a mob is white to you, you will get X amount of XP according to your level, whether you are sidekicked or exemplared, or not.
Now, I could be totally wrong about that, but it's what seems to happen in my experience. -
Listen through this list and see if it's here. If not, you're probably SoL.

Quote:Oohhhh yeah, I can't say as I've ever run across that situation.. mainly because if there's an O-portal nearby, it's because I'm about to use it100% reproducible. The reason you might not have noticed it is that it's not SUMMONING the O-portal that interrupts. It's when the portal DESPAWNS (due to time-out *OR* the owner going through it).

If it's too empty for you, consider purchasing the North American edition.

Quote:Perfect example of "standard code rant" at workYeah, I noticed that myself and completely fogort to mention it.
Wow. I never really noticed this. I'll have to pay more attention to my /Shield characters. I gotta say that I'm highly impressed by this. I never knew that implementing Shield Defense was that much work. -

Quote:Run away. Run away and don't look back.Nah, anyone that has one and hasn't used it by now is either a collector or probably doesn't remember they even have it. I got lucky with the CoV Collector's Edition, to the local store owner it was just a box that had been eating up space in his store for years. I really don't want to pay "Ebay Collector!" prices for an in-game item. I did that *once* with one of the trading card critters in WoW, and I still find myself regretting it. And I only spent about $25 the time. (How some people can justify spending hundreds or *thousands* of dollars to buy a digital ghost cat is beyond me.)
On the other hand, if they wanted to add some of the items as account-wide upgrades in the NCSoft store, I'd be really tempted. I still think this should be an option for some of the costume related items and the mini-pets. For the price, you'd get *just* the costume bits, not the badges or titles or free slots. I'd really like to have access to the mini-pets, and at this point I'm still over three years from getting them. (In other words, it's quite probable that I'll *never* get them.)
Honestly, collecting the mini-pets is about the only reason I haven't canceled my WoW account. I'm never going to join a guild there, and there's even less chance I'll ever go on a raid. Turning my Warlock into the undead version of a "Crazy Cat Lady" is about the only end-game goal I can realistically shoot for. -
Quote:Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm saying. And there's lots of ideas I have about how they could make it workable but I don't work for NC so it's not for me to worry about. No, I get you. You'd like to see the Cathedral of Pain/Items of Power business brought back, only instead of enabling other Super Groups to raid your SG's base, break your stuff, etc. if you had an Item of Power installed, you'd like to see it attract computer-controlled bad guys. (I'm not sure how you'd schedule that - I mean, it's not like just hanging around the base waiting to see if villains show up would be any fun, and it'd just be infuriating to have it happen while you were in the middle of, say, rearranging the teleport room - but, as you see below, that'd be someone else's problem.)
Personally, I wouldn't like that, because I haven't the slightest interest in seeing my SG's nice functional base all smashed up after all the time and effort we've put into it, but then, I haven't the slightest interest in going through a huge raid thing to get a minor buff item to put in said base in the first place, so it'd be all the same to me. We just wouldn't bother and our base, presumably, would be safe. Mind you, if it caused them to bring back all those idiotic item-placement rules in the base editor, even for those of us with no interest in ever partaking, I'd be a bit riled about that.
However, I am totally against them bringing back ANY kind of base raid if it means we lose our easystack. -
Quote:Okay, I'll bite.this is where i see that it not free as you got to wait for it. to me when you buy a something and it say on the box that it includes a free item. then to me that free
It DOES include a free item, you just have to wait for it.
Instant gratification and free do not necessarily go hand in hand.
Let's say you get a piece of software that includes a rebate at 100% of the price. You pay for the software. In three months, you get a rebate. Ta-da. The software you purchased three months ago just became free. -
That's like saying you have to pay for your ITF runs. While it's "technically" true, it's still not like you're paying 5 bucks a run. They are free costumes, items, tailor tokens, respecs etc. as opposed to having to pay for a booster pack or a respec. They are free because we get them just for playing the game.

Quote:How is it base bragging to have all the teleporters? Seriously, I have them all and my SG only has like 3 people.NegRepper: "Unabashed base bragging."
Dear NegRepper: I reposted your comment so people can get a good laugh at your weak ego boundaries.
I originally made the video to *help* people by showing how to organize the way-too-many telepads needed to connect to all the possible zones.
I set mine up a little different -
Ummm okay. I really think that my point is being missed entirely.

Quote:That's what I mean. Instead of having to deal with PvP mess, just make it NPCs instead, so there's still that the risky thrill. The CoP Trial had nothing (directly) to do with PvP (of course the REWARD triggered a PvP series of possible events...but the Trial itself was not in any direct way PvP). Beause of that, I don't see why it couldn't be resurrected with simply a different payoff.

Quote:Got mine fixed, thanks.Password retrieval works just fine, I walked someone through it just the other day. When the sites are back up, go to:
www.cohtitan.com/forgot.php -
Likewise, I never saw an obvious "Forgot password?" link anywhere near the login.

Quote:I totally second this!Hey while you guys are at it, maybe you could fix the issue that if you forget your password, you are out of luck?
I have not been able to access my faces account, @Lunar Veil, and it is irritating because there is no way for me to retrieve my password. Anyway, HUGE suggestion, please at least let me know if I am missing something? I have requests waiting that have been sitting for oh, a good long time 0_0 Thanks -
Quote:You should go talk to them. I recently talked to one of my alts' initial Galaxy City contact whom I had only done one mission for and they introduced me to someone in Founder's Falls. Not them, but I have already talked to my Talos/IP ones to intro me up to new contacts. And they haven't moved to inactive yet, either. I doubt the Kings Row level 5-10 contacts have much for my level 30-something that the more current ones in Talos/IP/Bricks/FF didn't already give me.

I was under the impression that you couldn't do PVP zone missions if you'd already outlevelled the zone. Did that change with the SSK change?
