Quote:Y'know, it's funny, but I never even thought to do that. Trying it now, thanks Z_Man!

Quote:I hate that bonk noise. Will that also get rid of the error "bonk" sound that plays every time you try to use a power that isn't recharged? If not, even with the message disabled, you could eventually reach the point where that "bonk" is what you believe in-game movement should sound like.

Judging by the amount of blind invites I get, no, not empty at all.

Keep an eye on Twitter. They've been giving costume codes away all week, and may give away more in the near (or far) future.

If you click on the "Powers" tab just above your powers tray, at the top of that window you will see "Combat Attributes". You can click and monitor anything on those lists, I believe up to 10 items but not positive on that as i only use it for three things.

Works fine on mine, and you do NOT need to run it in compatibility mode.

Just click on the tiny little plus sign at the top of the power tray (far right, past salvage tab). To close extra trays, right click in them. You can also shape them.

Quote:No, I won't be. He didn't say anything about making his character more powerful, he asked for more slots. Now, given the context of the conversation up until that point, which had been about alts, it was CHARACTER SLOTS that I was thinking of.maybe in the coming future the devs have said for going Rogue there will be a way to improve level 50's to make them even more powerful
Well then you may be dissappointed with Going Rogue.
I've got no problem with the "theoretical 60". -
PPD Hardsuit will show up in higher level bank missions (both safeguard and mayhem). You can't have the pieces of it because it's a full-body model, not an armor-pieces-on-your-character model.
It should be noted that what the game says is the NPC PPD Hardsuit is not the same thing as the costume item. The costume item is actually the PPD Shell. -
If your account hasn't lapsed during the promotion span, it will apply automatically. In fact, the full announcement says that badges will be awarded about a week after the end of the period, if my memory serves.

No, my characters see it as money, and so do the NPCs. This has been gone over a few times now. Yes, you can justify it with RP reasons, however you can't deny that influence equals cash, especially with NPC statements like "Now you owe me even MORE influence!" when playing dice.

Quote:It was put on permanent temporary hiatus due to the insane amounts of lag it caused.Wasn't there a feature coming where there'd be a weblink we could go to to see our various heroes' stats/build/enhancments, etc? If I am indeede recalling correctly has anyone heard any news on this. I'd really love to see this feature. It would be handy for perusing my build for tweaks ans such when I'm, ahem, on break at work.
In the meantime, there's always CoHPlanner. I prefer Mids, myself. -
Quote:It's not silly when you consider how different each of the ATs play, as well as heroes vs villains, epic ATs vs villain epic ATs.Okay that's fair, but without end game, you level up to 50 and then just start a new character and do it all over again? That seems kind of silly especially for an MMO, where the goal is to get your character to the level cap to become more powerful.
Going through the game as a tank is not the same as going through the game as a stalker.
Hell, going through the game as a willpower tank is VASTLY different than going through it as a granite tank. -
Quote:That's not true, in my experience. I've gone into gray weapons raid and gotten a flamethrower. I've also done one of the croatoa arcs at something like -10 and gotten the bow and arrow. The only real caveat on doing arcs gray is that any that award a temp power normally (whether at the start or end of a mission or whatever) will not. It also works that way in Safeguard and Mayhem missions on the Weapons Raid and Vault Break-in/Smash and Grab. If the mission is gray (-3 to you or worse), there will be no Weapons Raid temp power and no chance of a Prototype Element or Access Bypass. (Temp power for stopping the robbery/robbing the bank gets awarded though)
I do know that if you already HAVE one, you won't get a second. -
To put it bluntly, yes, this game is about alts. With literally hundreds of AT combinations, if you're only playing one character, you are not experiencing the game.
One of the biggest things that make this game different from other games is THERE IS NO END GAME. -
Quote:Arcs award a certain number of merits, period. It does not matter if you finish them when they're grey, if you're flashbacked, or if you do them on a full team. You will receive X amount of merits. On my level 50 Blaster, I think I have two or three arc missions from long ago. Contacts are still there but I had no incentive to finish as I was either off on another tangent type adventure with teams, or just flat out-leveled them.
With that being said, if I did go back and finish them and there is a reward at the end such as merits, will I be punished with a lesser amount of merits or awards because I never finished that mission at that current level when I got it? I have also done the Ouroboros back in time missions which I know is helpful when missing certain arcs or missions that you either couldn't finish or you failed the mission for some reason.
So, in comparing the two, if you did do the Ouroboros "back in time" missions are you more likely to get "better" rewards versus doing an arc or mission from an "existing" contact that you still have and if you did their missions you would most likely earn zero influence as the foes would be too low. Also, in doing the Ouroboros back in time missions, you can earn influence as you would be doing those missions at the level you were at the time of the mission. Any additional feedback on this would also be helpful. -
