Quote:Then perhaps you could ask your bud how in the bluest of blue hells that last patch made it live.Quote:Since the publish of 1600.20091015.5T Wednesday morning, we have been tracking a bug that is affecting server stability and making some hostage missions impossible to finish. To resolve this issue, we are going to publish a build on Friday October 30th. -
To me, Oriental sounds more exotic and mysterious than Asian. It immediately brings to mind Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc. 'Asian' on the other hand, just makes me think of grassy steppes and herds of horses.
Personally, I don't buy that 'area' thing because 'caucasian' describes an area in Europe, and I am definitely NOT from Europe, yet that's the only thing I can check on a survey when it comes to ethnicity.
Just my two cents, and definitely not trying to flame anyone. If someone I know personally tells me they'd rather be called Asian, I definitely don't have a problem with it.
Sounds to me this is a case of 'just because you're black (or should that be African American, or African, or Kenyan, or Ethiopian, or or or) doesn't mean you can get away with the n-word' ? -
Quote:Train in RWZ and you'll never have this problem. Why are there no police drones guarding the Hero Trainer areas? I made a blue toon couple days ago (yes, shocker, I know). Everytime I stand at a trainer, while contemplating what powers to take, I exit the level up screen only to find I'm dead from any number of various event creatures.
At least on red side, when I'm busy with an NPC, the drones always handle up for me and I live.
So this morning I was standing there, at an NPC trainer, and zombies were popping up around me. Being sturdy as paper, I must hover above where they can't reach me. Now I can't reach the trainer. So, i'm thinking, well, i'll kill a couple. Wow, the zombies are literally spawning mid-air then falling to the ground non-stop. There are now at least 20+ zombies beneath me, and I'm having a hard time range killing one minion.
I was the only toon in the area. I was seriously starting to worry for some poor sap who stumbles up to the trainer and runs into this massive mob!
In places where you must open a window, and spend any amount of time, there really needs to be some protection.
Lastly, I'm not 'angry'. This is observational curiosity since I don't care about debt and events do not last forever.
Honestly, years ago when they were placing trainers and drones, the fact that they'd have these kinds of events several years in the future probably wasn't a consideration. There are no normal spawns near trainers, so they probably didn't see a need to put drones right next to them. This is just my speculation, of course. -
Quote:Because in some cases, that's where my friends are.Why would a level 5 even wanna go to a 38 zone anyway? There's a reason that level 38's aren't in Atlas where level 5's are.
Honestly, this SSK system is MUCH more of a boon than a problem, especially for those of us with SGs with a wide range of character levels, or alts with a wide range of character levels. Now I can join them no matter what, whenever something is going on. No more of the mentor shuffle that often meant someone had to be left out.
As an aside, when there are banner teams going on, and the leader is a lower level... why doesn't the leader turn the star over to a higher level? In EVERY banner team that I've been on, that's the first that happens, if it hasn't already happened by the time I've joined. "Okay, who's on a 50 or closest to it? Great! You get the star." -

Very likely 17, Young 11 or Young 14. Those seem to have the strongest oriental cast to them. There are probably a couple others.

I'm a LOTRO/CoH player too, and I really enjoy the zone specific storylines - Hollows, Fautline, Striga, Croatoa, RWZ for example.
There's a lot of stuff out there. Since you're level 30, you can go to Ouroboros and start checking out things you might have missed too. -
You know, I was going to make a crack about the floozies down by the Port Oakes dock, but they seem to have actually removed them.
On a totally unrelated note and off topic, has anyone else noticed that the "crumbling" statue models, like the ones around the arena in Port Oakes have pristine belts and headwings on the male statues, and hair and shoulder rings on the female? Guess they forgot to map the texture. -

I'm really enjoying the axe right now, when half the stuff that pops out of a ToT door counts as undead
I usually pick for thematics, though if I know I'm going to be fighting a lot of CoT I'll take the axe. If I don't have any particular plans I'll lean towards the sands. -

Quote:I can say with certainty that you definitely CANNOT do this. The ONLY exception is the Game Card.3) I'm not actually sure if you can apply multiple codes from the same edition to a single game account (i.e. two copies of CoV DVD). I don't see why it wouldn't work; I should think it'd be like applying a 30-day time card - but I've never tried it out, so try that at your own risk.
-
As long as they're from different editions, yes, you can.

Quote:When you take a screenshot with the print screen key you get one that shows up automatically in your screenshots folder - that one is affected by the ui 1 or ui 0 - that is, you can see the UI when you're running around but it can still take a screenshot without the UI.Thanks, je saist and Master Blade, for answering!
Master Blade, I'm not sure I understand. If the UI doesn't show up, how can you paste it in later?
However, because print screen is also the clipboard key, you can paste it into a graphics program as a WYSIWYG screenshot.
I hope that makes sense. I think I confused myself. -
