if only you really moved at Lightspeed...

... then nobody would see her coming.
What? -
If anyone even remotely knows me, they can tell you that the concept of this thread is in my blood. I (make Mel) pulsate with wanton heat at the mere thought these types of things. ;3
So I submit to you, Massacre Melanie. You are free to do with her as you wish. After all, Mel doesn't mind taking a good beating or alternatively dishing one out. Mel excudes hotness and has good fashion sense. She's also fond of toys, as well as in need of some love. Just don't get too comfortable or else she'll raise your [******] fluid to over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit.
The line between acceptable and obscene is a fine one indeed. I like to think that I stomp all over that line everyday. -
There's nothing better than naughty art. Except... perhaps knotty art. ;3
-
Oh? Why was I not informed of said spankings? >:3
-
Why does *everyone* get her name wrong? It's Melanie. I swear, it's like a contactable disease. It must be Turbo, who's jealous and been spreading it around. :3
-
This is pretty cute. I'm sure it'll be of use to someone who can't draw, but it's fun to play around in, even if you can.
Timm style Mel -
I'm not sure that moving Turbo back is a good idea. While it would allow the viewer to see more of her, it creates a disconnect between Turbs and Kite, which means the main concept of the drawing is lost. Kite would have to be making eye contact or showing body language that she's interested in Turbo, for the viewer to view the 'story' of the piece. Otherwise, it just seems like Turbo is a prude or somesuch.
While I know that she's your most personal avatar, I think having her in a 3/4s or 1/2 profile is what works best in this situation. Unless you want to change the feeling of the piece and infer the relationship with some other idea. Perhaps Kite standing over her, with Turbo looking into the camera with chills down her spine. There's only going to be so many ways that the two can be posed to make the inferred tale be known. I think you'll have to make a decision on that before any artist can really do a good job on it. -
Hah. You tempt me with my one fatal weakness. Truely the best villain move. Yes, I think that layout is something that can be forged into something workable. Depending on who you get, it could be an exquisite piece.
As for Graver, while I love his art dearly, Graver is not really appropriate for a pinup artist. He's more of a mood artist and much better at capturing certain kinds of pieces, especially ones that are meant to tell a story. For some hot wet babes in the onsen, I don't doubt he could do a good job, but he's not likely to make them lush and full of 'healthy bounce.' It's not a slight against him, it's just the limit of his current style. -
Because it helps to build a sense of 'community,' which we really already have. While I don't want to have anything to do with the P.E.R.C., some other artist might. There are plenty of artists around these parts, though it will be up to them to decide if they want to help out or not.
Because it's volunteer work, it's 'take what you can get' territory. I'd personally say that you'd have better luck getting commissions from the artists, as that would more guarantee a nice prize for your contest winners. That would require money, however. It's not a situation I would like to find myself in. -
Free time and energy is something that would be nice to have. If I did have such, I'd be drawing stuff for myself or friends instead of giving away art to people I have no clue of. While I don't have the venomous spite that Deebs does, P.E.R.C. hasn't been the most transparent of organizations in the past and I would shy away from doing it simply due to the involvement of the group.
Perhaps this would be more productive if you'd give us ideas of what exactly you want of said artists and how much demand this is going to put on anyone who agrees. At the moment, it's a blank check for slavery. -
Massacre Melanie is the poster child for Hot August Nights
Definitely Hot August Nights.

If you push those chars into the foreground and have Kite behind them, then that becomes a much more workable picture. It's essentially a 3 person pinup with 2 people serving as the base of a rough triangle. Then you add Reaver in as a background joke and that's pretty much it right there. You won't likely have much of Turbo's frontside to see, as she'll be turning in profile to view Kite, but for the most part, you can have all three facing the camera.
I love interesting picture ideas, but having taken commissions before, I can tell you that it's rare when someone's original idea can actually be used effectively in a drawing. The moment you have two characters facing each other, you've just lost the ability to show both of their front sides in any kind of natural pose. Not directed at you, but so many people don't get this. >.<
It's still why I continue to redo layout pics time and time again, trying to search for the right position to extract the most character facing along with the most fitting pose for the mood. It's also why I hardly produce finished pieces anymore. -
The more detailed the characters and scene is, the harder it becomes to squeeze it all into a single piece that's still pleasing to the eye. I can't figure out how to reconcile 4 different characters, all in different spots doing different things yet interacting with each other, into a pic where you can actually see them all well. I think you're gonna have to give up parts of the idea, or make due with squeezing some of them together in creative ways.
If you don't mind one of them being unseen, due to having their back turned towards the camera, then that's much more easily done. Also, if you can keep Turbo and Sarix mostly covered by the water, then it becomes easier again. This really sounds more suited to being primarily a Kite pinup with added chars and details. -
Holy mother of crystalized win.

I love the art style, but find it visually overstimulating, not to mention confusing. Why is he kicking a fruit salad jello all over the sidewalk? And why is the ghost of Marlon Brando yelling at him all the time? These are not questions I should be asking myself when I casually glance at somebody's avatar.

Clockwork soccer FTW. -
There's only one person I trust with the type of technical details that you're looking for. But his art style would be too 'anime' for you.

The only guy I know that does mecha and girls both frighteningly well. Other artists do mecha that looks great, but Staton actually designs them to be functionally realistic. He draws exploded views of Vipers from BSG for *fun*. o.O
Shamefully I can't find many good mech pics for you, since he has no real base of operations online. The ones in the gallery page are shamefully small. -
Extremely beautiful. This is the kind of quality I would expect for the price range.

DA is da future!

Of censorship.
DA is great for what it does, but it's pretty screwed up in it's own way. -
While we're talking sculptures, this is a figure I made of my friend's bunnygirl character for his birthday.

It still sits, unpainted because I'm not good with painting and I'm afraid I'll ruin the work I put into it. ;_; -
This is the cancer that is killing SaFA.

There's so much wrong on both sides of this argument that it became right.
I will be monitoring for lulz further. -
Calling it charity work makes it sound like it's going to a good cause. Frankly I see this more as thinly veiled greed. I'd have been much more willing to do something, if it hadn't seemed misleading in the first place.
