    Now playing : Polaris'...

    Sucker Punch

    Sucker Punch w/Hasten Aura

Polaris, if you can get me a close-up shot of SP's face, I can get a bit more detail. I couldn't make out what type mask he has.

    Enjoy!

    Up next...AlphaFlight's request...Celestius!

    [/ QUOTE ]

woo thanks! looks great, but he has no mask at all.. just the scar on his eye

... it must be the lighting that makes it look like a mask, i can totally see why you would think there was one
  2. Woo! I'd love to get one of my stalker, Sucker-Punch:

    www.pf-coh.com/sp.jpg

And that green aura is from a temp power, and i can't turn it off ... please don't include that

Hm... I just added my two mains, and no matter what I do, they come up as 'undefined / undefined', but when I go to edit them, their powersets look like they saved correctly. I'm confused.

    [/ QUOTE ]

yeah, i havent fixed the character display pages yet, but the character edit/add should work and save fine
  4. Ok ... re-enabled character adding and editing.

Small caveat - old characters will need to re-select their primaries and secondaries. I wasn't able to find a rational / sane way of editing all the previous data. AT was saved/untouched, but you will need to edit your characters to get the right Primary and Secondaries.

Sorry for whatever trouble that may cause you.
  5. I found a bug / data error when adding/editing characters. apparently, the IDs for the primary and secondaries data arrays were wrong... so while it looks ok on the site when you add/edit your characters, it's totally f'd up when i try to compare with what's in the database

i can fix it, but it's a slow and manual process.

Until it's fixed adding and editing a character has been disabled.
  6. you can't balance the sets around what people can take in power pools. Every AT can take the same power pools, and thus get the same benefit. It doesn't make for un-biased comparisons
  7. what is required for the TF Commander Accolade? i assume it's related to completing a certain combination / # TF's?

you do realize that 99% of the time, if you already have a sub-domain, you don't put the www. in, right?

And I know you still are adding things, but one thing I would like to see is the ability to addd your power list. maybe enh slotting but not as important imo as what powers you have. Hope it won't be TOO hard to code.

    [/ QUOTE ]

From a discussion I had with Pol a while back, I can tell you that he has something in mind similar to this. I'm not going to say anything more than that because I know how plans and priorities change over time.

Thanks for being discreet Tycho, but i don't mind.

I'm working on an online hero builder. It will NOT be as robust as the desktop versions, but it should be sufficient to play with power selections and slotting, and give you at least the basic info on all the powers.

My program will not go into multiplying out all the BI's if you have x # of damage SO's and all that jazz, but it should be a decent way to quickly go in, throw a build together, and save it / publish it to the Victory Site or here on the boards.

That said, i've got a lot of preliminary work done on it, but found a snag in the program design that i'm looking into. It's also a huge undertaking, so it's not something i can throw together quickly like most other features on the site

also, thanks for the compliments Dedlok
  17. The problem lies in moderation.

Concept: i create a simple entry for an SG, and i flag certain users as being leaders of that SG. The leaders in turn have access to edit / add all the information relating to the SG. Then, the first leader can add additional leaders from the player roster.

This still requires my intervention, at least to set up the SG to begin with, and to grant access to at least the first leader. It's minimal, especially if i code it "tiered" (IE: Me > 1st Leader > Other Leaders), with me simply having "create" access and 1st leaders do not.

ugh, complicated. but, not *too* bad i suppose

    I already gave my input.

It wasn't good enough for *you*.

    [/ QUOTE ]

no, your solution is the exact same as mine. It will likely get implemented. i just don't want to be part of the process and am hoping for a good alternative
  19. Question:

Part of the reason why i haven't released a Supergroup section of the site is this:

It's REALLY hard to ensure that the person listing the SG is legitimate. Anyone could go and list Legion of Valor, for instance, but have absolutely no affiliation with them.

Also, who would be allowed to "manage" the entry? Whoever listed it? What if there's a dispute of who's the "leaders"? What if someone gets kicked out or pissed off and decides to grief?

I know that these are the mostly "what if" scenarios, but they trouble me enough to keep from releasing the feature.

Any thoughts? Let what happens happens? What are you comfortable with?
  20. gawrsh, thanks CT!

    *goes and votes for LoV*
  21. looks like i got stickied!
  22. Ok,

So the gallery upload bug struck again. Thanks to Cosmic Titan for pointing it out to me.

I think, 99.9999% sure now, that i found the actual culprit, and it should be completely operational (again).

The problem was the way i was referencing ImageMagick in the code.... i guess sometimes it was happy with just being called without paths, and then it got sand in it's [censored] and decided it wanted to be called with the exact path structure.

So, let me know if you run into problems again, but it *should* be fixed now.
  23. just as a quick side-note to the player data page, i fixed the weird alternating row bug when you filtered... it should re-color the rows the right way now after filtering.
