  1. it's a fairly solid build, but if you plan on herding a lot, you *might* want to consider grabbing Tough. Sure it's only S/L, but a smart herder would focus on mob groups that primarily do those damage types anyway. It's not entirely necessary but you would be more survivable.

Might also want to consider Hasten, to get Spine Burst going a little bit more often. Again - not necessary but it wouldn't hurt.

    p.s.

R.A.F. and all those awesome heroes have been terrific, helpful, FUN and educational for me and my first year of playing...

We want YOU for a new recruit!

    mine eyes! they are a'melting!
  3. I'll see what i can find. Did you use the "Back" button at all (the one on the page, not the browser)? If anyone can duplicate this and give me the steps you took, that'd be great.

Thanks for the head's up, Tycho.
  4. OVS is back up, as is the planner, if anyone is interested
  5. An update (for those that have had problems getting to my site):

My DNS provider suffered a major DoS attack last night. Since then service has been intermittent and possibly even completely down, depending on your ISP.

i've managed to move off of that DNS service and onto a new one, so within the next 24 hours, everything should be back to normal.
  6. Sorry to anyone trying to access my site(s) this morning. Comcast had a "nationwide internet outage"

Should be back up and running now, though.

I like the planner, but, for the love of Mike, put in a way to correct mistakes and/or change the way you slot enh witho resetting the entire thing! I can't tell ya how many times I made a mistake somewhere and had to redo the ENTIRE thing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

stop making mistakes! (it's coming, and fairly soon)

Also, not a major update, but i re-designed the front page a little, and made some bug fixes:

Let me know what you think!
  8. aw come on, the british deserve it
  9. CGT data import for new characters is working great.

I've modified it so that i also track level changes automatically for CGT users. Let me know if anything funky happens.
  10. Lightbox replaced with Litebox. same net result.

I need to revamp all my characters, and delete a ton of those that I've deleted. I click on the shiny delete button, and lo and behold, it doesn't delete.

    [/ QUOTE ]

bizarre, seems to be an IE6 issue. should be fixed in a few minutes

    [/ QUOTE ]

Stupid visually customisable IE6-based browsers. I'd totally go on Firefox again if I could put my tabs on the bottom instead of the top.

And if Firefox could properly play YTMNDs without having to download Quicktime.

    [/ QUOTE ]

hey, i'm not judging. i was only able to test on IE7 and Firefox when i wrote it, and it was working. i forget that IE7 > IE6
  14. [ QUOTE ]
The new site looks great, btw!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Thanks!

    Since i'm here anyways...

Important news for City Game Tracker users! I've done the grunt work of merging the data that CGT provides me with the user data that you all manually enter.

Right now, for testing, i'm only collecting/merging data for *new* characters, with "new" being defined as any character not already in my database.

If this goes well, I'm going to add an option to keep your pre-existing characters up-to date every time you use the CGT/Herostats software. So please, try it out, see if it works, and what if anything could be improved.
  15. Forgot Password - Page restored, is now working.

Delete Characters - Has been revamped to both allow for deleting more than 1 at a time, and to be IE6 compliant.

It highlights fine, just seems to lag? Can't quite put my finger on it.

    Avant browser, IE-shell

    [/ QUOTE ]

strange... Hank tested it with Avant, and didn't see that (that i'm aware of). does it always lag, or just like the first time you load the page? jeez, that background image file is about 200 bytes, it shouldn't take any time to load at all...

    Dunno if I like change

    It's evil-looking

    [/ QUOTE ]

there's a good chance i'm going to add a theme selector.

Only issue ATM is the mouse over/highlight for the menu seems a little flaky?

    [/ QUOTE ]

first i've heard about it through the testers i've had. What browser?
  20. Not sure how many people even read this thread, but there are substantial updates.

    Check it out: www.pf-coh.com/victory

    Here's a rundown:

    - Completely new design (duh )

    - Revamped the home page. Should be more useful now.

    - Clicking a user's global handle now presents a complete profile of information, instead of just the characters they have on the roster.

    - Revamped Player Data / search page. Should be much faster now

    - Removed the map. may or may not re-appear

    - Calendar got a major overhaul. basically re-wrote it from scratch. Should also be more useful and functional.

    - Removed the lightbox from the gallery. May or may not reappear

Biggest changes were in the Control Panel.

-- Gallery submissions can now be deleted.

-- Random bug for gallery uploads showing text but no image should be resolved

-- Character images now appear when editing characters, and can also be removed.

-- Event submission should be easier now.

There's other things too, but i forget them all. Check them out, see what breaks, let me know
