Honestly I have to disagree with early game teaching healers to play as spam healers. Even on autocast you still have time to blast/debuff/buff or basicly make yourself more usefull. I,ve played emp and pain to many diffrent builds and never came to a point where I see heals only heals all the time to dp anything but reenforce other people bad playstyle. Sometimes the best thing the healer can do for a poorly playing gourp is let them die so they learn to deall with agro and dmg managment better.

People have already covered most of what you need to know so all I can add is my opinion.

I believe in high end green teas. Stuff like Gyokuro or Matcha straight up no sugar, no milk, no honey. Just plain Water plus Tea.

Don't get me wrong I drink other stuff and sometime use sugar but when I need a good tea fix is has to be a good green tea straight up.

All we need now is a Clockwork to English Dictionary.

Make them Clockworks.

You can just sum that up with "The SG base is in/on a parallel world/pocket dimension and as such is not part of any government body." IE it is dimensional Switzerland.

But yeah I have some Praetorian toons that would work well with that. I'll have to look you up online sometime.

My healer blows stuff up.

I'm sorry but I've yet to see a pure healer build really shine. Yes you can heal and you can do it a lot at the drop of a hat. But mostly it is not needed you can be a good healer and do other stuff and its that other stuff that is going to get you into teams.

Lets take my First CoH toon vs my First CoV they are basically the same.

Built mostly the same. But hands down my Corrupter solos better, gets invited to teams more, and just basically ends up being more useful.

I've even tried respecting the Emp/Elec into primary heals and while yes I could heal more it just was overkill people were not dying less, because they rarely died in the first place. I just had less to do. Sad to say the Defender that was created on day one final was deleted to make room for other toons while my Corrupter from day one (CoV day one) is still alive and living the high life working on her morality missions.

I'm not saying pure healer is not playable or good at what they do. I'm just saying you have two power sets for a reason and you will be more useful over all if you used it more.

Yes it would be nice to be a vigilante in the Isles. I believe right now the Tips system is basically tied into the loot system. So for right now villain mods will drop only the Villain/Rouge Tips and hero mobs the Hero/Vigilante Tips. Because you can not pick Rouge while Vigilante that leaves you with only the Villain option. Hopefully they will change this at some point.

Pro tip: You can take a Tip you found in any zone and take it to any other zone. When you Investigate the Tip it them builds the mission in the zone you are currently in. I might be wrong as I have not tested this but you should be able to take your unused Hero/Vigilante Tips to the Isles then investigate them and run the Vigilante missions there.

I'm not a red name and you might be waiting a long time for a red to respond since they will most likely just skim your title and not read the post itself. But I've been here awhile and no there is nothing extra beyond your user name and password. It's one of the reason that they suggest your forum ID/Global chat be different from your login.

I've started working on getting a few guys over to vigilante. And yes a lot of them are picking between doing the heroic thing or something not so heroic. Here is the thing about that. The V option more often then not is actually a more long term answer that falls under 'the ends justifies the means'. It is not out right villainy but it does brush up on criminal actions and gross disregard for public safety.

Like you can bust the huge meeting of drug dealers (H) or you can follow one of the high ups leave and bust him (V). When you complete these missions that little summery box that pops up tells you the outcome of your actions. In this case going vigilante some of the drug dealers get away but you put a major dent in there operations. Not so bad.

Then you have one of the more extreme ones I have done so far. You can disarm all these booms set all over paragon city (H) or you can go take down the bomber so he can not bomb again (V). In the end you stop the bomber but one of the bombs went off leveling a city block. Being a vigilante is braking the rules for the grater good and if that causes bystanders to get hurt so be it at lest more will not get hurt because you had to play by the rules.

What I would LOVE to see is a few vigilante missions were your choice to go V ended up in complete failure. Like the bomber thing. Instead of saving the day it would be nice show up and when you get to the last room your greeted with a huge monitor with the boomer giving this huge dialogue how you fell for the wrong thing. You know something to re-enforce that your choice sometimes has really bad side effects and that sometimes it is just better to be the hero and go for the safety of the citizens first answer.

Vigilante is not really villainy it is doing what you think is the best answer regardless of the risk to public safety. I'd like to point out in all of them you 'leave (option one) to the heroes' which to me suggests you some how tip them off. Apparently every other hero in Paragon sucks since every time you leave something to them things go wrong.

Maybe it is just because for melee types I normally play tanks. But I rolled a KM/E Aura brute because... well its pretty. And I find it solos and teams well. I don't feel like I'm slower killing wise as it is much faster then my normal tanks and pretty tough to boot. I do find myself getting into that 'scrapper lock' mind set of "need to keep killing.... need to keep furry bar up... BLOOD.... MORE BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD... MHA-HAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!"

But I'm having fun and at the end of the day I guess that is really the important part.

Bringing up the GPU boost made to dig around a bit. The Motherboard has a Boost setting in BIOS too. So Just for completeness sake I uninstalled the GPU assist completely and disabled it in the BOIS. I'll report back later if it had any effect.

The Asus motherboard has a GPU on it that can assist Video cards.

I have tried running CoH with that disabled with out any effect.

Ok CoH worked like a champ under XP sp3 with all settings maxed out. The only change to my system is upgrading to windows 7 32bit. Now I crash all the time completely at random with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes I can go hours fine other times its every 5 minutes there is no pattern to it. I do not have this issue it any other game only City of Heroes and Only since I went to windows 7.

What I have already tried.

1) I've updated all my drivers even tried backrev to early drivers for video/sound
2) Multiple compatibilities settings (run in 95,98,xp ect)
3) Run as admin and not as admin Both on updater and city of heroes main exe.
4) Murdering young virgins in NCSoft's name under a full moon.

You know..... someone should make an all clockwork SG. I think it would be sort of a cool RP thing to play a bunch of Hack/Modded clockworks fighting for there own liberation. You could make a lot of the powers fit into the idea of Mods or Upgrades to there frames.
