i'm suprised no one has brought up the "there should be one melee class" idea again.
-
i think EG's idea of a conserve power type power or a consume is probable.
god forbid someone have a passive power or toggle that's freakin useful. -
why do so many people have avatars consisting of CoV characters beating up CoH heroes?
-
Not suprised here either. That's how they do things. I figured they lowered the -recharge by more than the dmg debuff made up for, but since you hadn't posted the exact number( and I did notice the absence
) i figured my guess was right and CE was slightly nerfed.

Those first couple of months were a fun scramble. And most of the real sniping and arguing had to do with people who hit the level cap too fast and found out that the late game was woefully incomplete.
Blazing new trails and discovering what the powers did kept many of us from arguing about this or that.
[/ QUOTE ]
that's why we're all jumping ship to CoV. Those first 6 months are gonna be a blast again! -

I wouldn't mind giving it a go, since I doubt I'll buy it at retail. Of course I saw a site that had sceenshots of the CoV powersets and to be honest it really doesn't look all that different. Many of the powersets are just exact copies of the CoH powers. The devs didn't learn a damn thing about powers like Unstoppable, MoG, etc. They are all still there.
It's looking more and more like CoV is simply going to be CoH with villian clothing options and a few particle effects.
I'll email support and see what happens. If I get in I get in. If not...eh.

dude, it's not. trust me, if you don't get beta, buy the game for at least the first month. It may look the same at first but... well, I caN't Divulge Any more -
damn dude, I'd heared you got wow'd and stuff. good to see you again.
-
i have a feeling that cov regen and coh regen will play really differently. i'm already formulating builds that would look simply assinine in CoH that may or may not be effective in CoV.
-
i think it may be coming. I'll be hard pressed to remain a subscriber if it does.
-
I think you're right. The ball is in motion. End rdx all over the place, rest timer changes. it's coming.

Besides, if they do leave us alone here in COH land, they will just start in on regen over in COV.
[/ QUOTE ]
they already did. It doesn't have Quick Recovery. -
i don't envy the sword. i laugh at it. i don't have to overcompensate by carrying one around.
-
you're gonna eat that [censored] sword one day.
-
i was thinking the same thing. i can take one melee hit and then run no problem. we could take a monster down like that .

You know I'm really tempted to start a new regenner and purposely skip everything past Int.

works fine on my lvl 31 DM/Reg so far. -

The trick to getting help on the controller boards is to advertise yourself as being a "lost fire imp" looking for a new master. With the reduction in pets, you'll likely get at least one Fire controller to pick you up and mentor you some. It helps if you go blow a few thousand influence at Icon for a fire aura and some spikey hair.
[/ QUOTE ]
you mean like this?
for the record, i created that guy the first time that pets were nerfed and controllers went ape [censored]. he's a pet given his freedom and each of his costume slots emulates a different pet. The base is for phantom army. The 2nd is the fire imp. The 3rd is poo man. I haven't figured out the last one yet, I'm only 39.
his name is Eckspet and he will kick the living hell out of your shins if you cross him. -
grats on being the first person to say that!
there always ends up being a bunch of people who see our mad writings and enter into a race with the devs, trying desparately to level their guy up. As if they are stuck in some heroic, nightmarish version of an Indiana Jones movie and the giant nerf bat is swinging down at you as you frantically flee before it.
/em Muahahaha -

Regen scrappers were the most overpowered AT on the game (circa I3)
I remember 6-slotting resilience, stealth, tough and weave, hasten and IH - and doing a better job than most tanks while pumping out quality dps.

mmmm, we were good but we weren't that good. high level invul and fire tankers were doing so crazy [censored] stuff too. And they've had their share of drastic changes too. As good as havok's vids were, an invuln or fire could still do twice that. -
i dunno. if revive was auto, someone might like and take that.
hmm. make it cost 5 end to use instead. -

We are so going to die. I6 QR is removed and replace with .......... a conserve power.

you're a jerk. that's awesome!! i wish i thought of that one.
regen stars for you!

and i did it with claws.
[/ QUOTE ]
Haven't you heard? In I6 they're changing the metal claws and subbing in rubber ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
i already did that. *coughmodcough* -
but sooo worth it.
I guess saying that I solo'd every single AV I came up against doesn't really mean anything anymore since we can't be nerfed for it and because the powerset I used doesn't exist. but i did. and it friggin rocked.
and i did it with claws. -
just in case some one calls it, i want to reinterate my old idea of bringing balance by making our toggles exclusive with fast healing.
and that fast healing cost endurance to run. -
psshaw. no way. Dull Pain dodged the bullet last time, no way does it make it through Issue 6 unscathed.
Issue 6: The Painening. -
Even with sonics, there are about 50 less powers debuffing res than there are debuffing def, so probably not.
