Sorry i didnt make that clear. I agree that for navigating to missions and just generally SJ is better.
But just purely for getting away in PvP surely SS has the edge, particularly as your harder to spot on the ground and can get out of line of site faster.

    [/ QUOTE ]

In open areas, Super Speed is faster, but trying to get back to the Hero base in Siren's Call requires skill. Hurdle is a must if you don't have CJ or SJ.

Its a real sweeper of a generalisation to say that, stalkers are repeatedly getting bad press at teh mo a lot of which isnt warrented, their not the only AT in the zone you could flip that to any AT if you chose to but their not all alike.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I used the word 'some' not 'all'
  3. I'm on Union in Siren's Call most nights and I find a similar thing can be said about the Villains. Sometimes I enter a zone and its full of Villains with Heroes being scarce (only twice I have seen Villains waiting outside the Hero base) other times I find that its full of Heroes with Villains waiting in the Villain base. I've also seen the tide turn and Villains falling back into their base. I don't think anyone likes to lose and some people will leave if they get killed.
Some nights when there is a lack of Heroes, I can get a good team together using tells and take on the Villains. Other nights I just tease the Villains and jump around like a maniac seeing how long i can last (or if i can hit someone and get away). If its not fun why stick around?

I've seen some Stalkers enter the zone and leave because they die once. They give up if they know they can be seen.
  4. I would agree that Teleporting Stalkers are hard to chase without good perception, but they are easily held and lose endurance quickly. Most Stalkers I chase have SJ, Acrobatics and get away by going back to base. I haven't seen a Stalker with Super Speed yet lol, the big white line in the water would be a huge give away. Fly isn't good for Stalkers either.

Edit: Just thinking that Fly would be good for approaching a target and Super Speed for getting away. You might not be able to spare the powers though.
  5. I'll be there as always, I think the last one failed due to lack of people.
  6. Quite alot of the 50's in the PvP zones were in S4 and know more about what works and what doesn't. Of course there are always new things to learn, which is why we couldn't beat the French

I helped a SR scrapper in Siren's the other night. He was having trouble with Stalkers so I told him to turn on Focus Senses and Focus Fighting
He didn't know anything about perception.

and thats why i say noone is unbeatable. Rock, scissors works very nicely. Just because one set cant beat another it doesnt mean its unbeatable.Everyone got weaknesses

    [/ QUOTE ]

A slight tune change? Remember we were talking about 1 on 1 when you claimed no one was unbeatable.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why would you want every AT to be beatable in 1 on 1?
Or do I have my wires crossed?
Please post quotes and explain what you're arguing about.

if you're in a PvP zone yourself, facing an opponent you can't beat and is continually hunting you then you have no choice but to leave.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The other choices being, buy Yellow Inspirations, IR Goggles or team with someone that has Tactics.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Note the presence of the word "yourself". Can't team with someone who isn't there. The goggles thing, fair enough.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If I'm in a PvP zone and I'm outnumbered I use Arena Chat to ask for help. I have Tactics in my build so I can see most Stalkers. I did come across several villains last night who were employing new ways of attacking me and some were very effective.

For instance a Brute that popped a Rage and then dropped down next to me from high up (off my screen) hit me with a high damage blow that also stunned me so I couldn't do anything, then proceeded to send me to the hospital. I returned to his position and sent him to the hospital, with the help of my team.

There is no opponent that is unbeatable.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is utter nonesense. I spent some time in the arena testing my build and know for a fact that there are opponents I can't beat and there's builds that can't beat me.
I'm not suggesting this applies to the situation with myself and the stalker, but there are plenty of builds that simply can't defeat each other in a 1 to 1 scenario.
Before you reply to this, think about this, for you to KNOW your statement to be true you must have fought every possible build with... every possible build.
For me to know my statement is true all I have to know is ONE build that can't defeat ONE other build.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If there was an opponent that was unbeatable by everyother build, he probably needs a nerf. I think the Rock, Paper, Scissors thing works great.

  11. The only times I have seen 'constant hammering' is where there is a lack of opposition and the same heroes/villains step up to take on who ever is there.

I get shouted at for picking on Stalkers (by Stalkers) but when you can see them coming and one of your team mates is in trouble (about to be assasinated) of course I'm going to attack/hold/disable them. I had a few stalkers Assasin Striking me in Siren's last night, but I didn't die as I had resistance buffs and I used transferance and health Insp. I finally jumped away laughing at them.

The villains never left the water

    [/ QUOTE ]
was not there today but the water is the best place to
fight no npc there, when you fight in land you get many
attacks from npc all the time and they give debt.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah thats the reason the villains gave, I just thought 'low level players '.
How are they ever going to control the zone properly if they don't take part in the zone 'hotspot' events?
That area is more dangerous for Heroes than Villains as there are more Arachnos Soldiers around that area.

I'm sure anyone with TP would rather fight on land lol.

    Nice Match up

I think I turned up after you were there, they certainly owned the zone due to lack of Heroes. I returned later on after doing PvP missions in Siren's and it was back to normal
  14. Villains owned Siren's tonight lol, they had a team of 7 with at least one from each AT. 7 heroes but 5 of them were blasters, 1 tank and a defender, so they held out. The villains never left the water except to enter their base. Commander was certainly the best MM and the most trouble to take down lol.
  15. Some good battles going on in Siren's Call last night. I have to say I really enjoy seeing the Villains all grouping together and making an attempt on the Hero base... and then retreating back to theirs lol.
PvP is definatly alot more fun with large groups on both sides.

Too few Villains and they run and hide, too few Heroes and they valiantly hold their ground until swamped with MM minions or stunned and Assasin Striked.

I don't think I've seen Siren's Call with Villains in control yet (the bar at the top mostly red). Maybe I'm just on at the wrong time though.
  16. Stryker_EU

    Cheerio

    I'll be there and congratulations
  17. I'll be online after 7pm. Which TF we do will depend on who joins up.

Why is Positron the best TF for working off debt? I thought you worked off the same amount depending on the +/- of the enemies not your level. I'd rather have a large team and do an interesting TF.
  18. Anyone willing to join me for a TF tonight to work off some of the debt gained from Hamidon last night? I don't mind which, just want to remove the debt.
  19. Maybe the hero has far too much inf and used it to buy acc inspirations or temp powers. The hero could have had a +acc buff on him (tactics). Which AT were they?
  20. There are a few reasons why Villains might not be upto scratch atm. Currently Villains are just starting out so I wouldn't expect them to do too well. Alot of Heroes are above the PvP zone limit and are using SOs and DOs, they have had more practice and know the ins and outs of the AT.
Having said that I have seen alot of Heroes around the level limit of the zone. Maybe I'm just spending too much time in Sirens lol. I've seen Villains come out on top mainly because they stay around the base and use the defences there to fight off the Heroes.

Leave it a month or so and things should balance out.

    Hide + Stealth= Total Invisibility.

You only do well agains Stalkers who don't know how to be good Stalkers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know, I also got taken out by a buffed Stalker lol, but then I can also be buffed, use a couple of Insp, increase my resistance target them as soon as they hit me and use Transfusion. Good bye Stalker.

I'm an Anti-Stalker I see them coming a mile off. (almost)
So long as you boost your perception, they can't get you. I have a laugh when i pretend not to see one and see how close I can get. Once I landed next to one and he turned, powered up and I zapped him with end drain lol, followed by Siphon Speed. He couldn't get away and I took his end, then I arrested him at my leisure.
  23. So far I'm level 8 and in missions against the Family, I can run around hitting every thing if its White or Yellow and survive. I have combat jumping, kinetic shield and the 2nd power from Energy Armour (can't remember what its called). Against Oranges I can survive if I have my fury meter past half way, because I hurt them more than they hurt me. Reds I need help.

I have to say I really like Combat Jumping on my Brute, increases range on Melee and Ranged attacks, not sure if the Def is worth it, altho the resistance against Immobilisation is good.
  24. I've started an Nrg/Nrg Brute, up to level 5 so far. I can get through a small mission 2/3 shotting everything I think most enemies aren't around long enough for the weak defence to matter much. Its just a pain getting the bar up. I think I'll be getting Health and Stamina asap.
  25. I've seen a couple of Mastermind Villains do a similar thing, except they don't go to the Hero base, they just taunt the Heroes at the Villain base lol.
