Can we have an example of a mob tp'ing that would violate the EULA please? As getting an exact set of rules from you is like getting blood out of a stone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd say as a general rule mob tp'ing is alright so long as you don't just use a hold and let the mob rip up the player.
You have to actively cause more than half the damage and preferably get the last hit in. That way you get the points and its your victory. Or you could just save yourself and everyone a load of grief and hassle and don't do it.

Recently I've noticed quite an increase in bad behaviour in the PvP zones - swear words, spam in broadcast, insults, etc. I wonder has anyone else has made similar experiences?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've noticed it from a particular villain that is notorious for being rude and abusive, I haven't been in Siren's every night this week though so it might be some other people. One person being rude and abusive might cause other people to be rude and abusive back. Then people are annoyed and things just get worse.
  3. If I was going to remake my TA/Archery Defender, he'd be TA/Electric. It has nice AoE powers, a hold and a sort of 'pet'. Which would go well with the Glue, Oil Slick, Disruption Arrow and Acid Arrow. Throw in Ice Arrow for another hold.
  4. [ QUOTE ]
Nah - knowing my luck I'd get put with a right spud that doesn't know what they are doing...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh, team mates are called team mates for a reason. Careful they don't shoot you in the back, accidently or otherwise.
  5. Sign up Transonic Level 50 Defender for both trials.
Send a tell to @Enervator when you decide on a date, just incase i miss the forum post.
The sewer trial does have problems with exemplaring but so long as you exemplar before you get the temp power, you can unexemplar afterwards and do alot more damage.
  6. Transonic - Sonic/Sonic Defender signing up.

    Defenders in PvP

    [ QUOTE ]
Enervator is a very good kinetic defender and if he's left in a zone to buff, becomes a real pain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Thanks, I try my best.
Buffing sets like kinetics and Forcefield are probably the easiest Defender sets to play in PvP because you chase your team mates around buffing. The enemy chasing you (because you have 'gank me' written on your back) makes it difficult however. Then theres the debuffers, I'd say Trick Archery, Radiation and Sonic Resonance were the main ones. With these sets, focus on the enemy targetted by your other team mates. Sonic has some buffing, but they last alot longer than a Kinetics buffs. Trick Archery is different to the other debuff sets because most of the powers are AoE that are fired at a specific area not an enemy. So you can set up safe zones (most people won't enter an area that will 'nerf' them), you can lure some people to their doom if you have back up with you as bait.
I've never played Dark or Empathy, but Empaths get chased the same as all the other defenders and are very team orientated with all the healing and buffs.
  8. I'm interested in doing a Hamidon Raid.
I don't mind being leader of the mito clearing teams with my kinetic. Transfusion is always good for healing those melee types.

Respec repel back in, fantastic power and not end heavy in the slightest when you use it right. That's my advice!

    [/ QUOTE ]

You mean its not end heavy when you don't use it to repel anything.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
What paper?, all dom builds would suck in solo PvP unless they fight n00bs that doesnt use break free's.

    [/ QUOTE ]

What about Doms that have lots of -recharge powers and slows. Also once they hit domination isn't it harder to break free? I'm only level 15 on my dominator and I'm hoping to do some PvP.

I've fought a couple of Doms in Sirens recently and they did all right solo, it was when more people showed up and the Dominator couldn't defend himself against multiple opponents.

Sorry to say , but, Issue 6 IS City of Villians, the fact we have stuff in CoH with it is an incentive to try and make sure it doesn't get left behind, as CoV starts up.

Issue 7 and 8+ are to Balance the Content, between the two.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Issue 6 and 7 were CoV, with a small amount of content given to the heroes. 6 being the bulk and 7 the high end content and Mayhem missions. Really looking forward to Issue 8 though.

I see Bases (and all the costume slots etc) as an incentive for CoH players to get CoV. £15 for a whole different way of looking at things plus the room for more alts is worth it. When they add the PvE content for bases and do what else they have planned (fix the bugs) bases should pick up and Statesman will want everyone to be happy (Give the players what they want).
  12. [ QUOTE ]
For future, I think the actual plan can be simple though: camp defender hospital, destroy rezzing rings, camp entrance while people take turns putting up pylons? Isnt that it more or less?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Taking out the generator and any other power devices stops the hosptial and any guns/base defences working. Unfortunatly being outnumbered and villains knowing where we were coming in meant we couldn't get much of a foot hold in the base.
After the Generator the Anchors should be attacked.
Pylons are only useful in stealing the IoP and aren't used in winning instant raids afaik.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
    Um, yes you can....

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've been on test and yes you can. Altho it does stop spinning so that the attack animation will be carried out.
Whirlwind uses more endurance according to CoH/CoV Character Builder. Which seems to be the only reason why it is worse than Repel.
  14. I enjoyed it too, didn't notice any major bugs.
Spawning in one place is abit unfair on the attackers as the defenders could just fill that room with guns.
    Wish there was more people.
I also noticed that base raids have been shortened.
It used to be an hour to defend/attack and now its half an hour.

Whirlwind isn't as good as repel because you are rooted.

[/ QUOTE ]No, you are not.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Been a while since i used it. Its not as good because you can't use powers at the same time as its active.
  16. Depends how you want to play, Whirlwind isn't as good as repel because you are rooted. Repel is just an aggro magnet in PvE. It also stops you from using transferance and transfusion to heal your self. Siphon speed is good because it debuffs the enemy. I have SJ and Siphon Speed and Inertial Reduction lol. Inertial Reduction is useful if you get held and want less downtime between BF and getting away. There is also no suppression on it or Siphon Speed.
SJ is good because you don't have to keep stopping to use it.
  17. I don't mind using my villain if I can't get in with my heroes. I've got a level 50 Brute - Collide.
  18. Team with an empath/* or sonic/* defender.

What i find funny is when peeps complain that i ganked them, i dont even know wat that is but meh..i really dont care wat they say and just leave them with a witty retort

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Gank means
    [ QUOTE ]
    "Co-ordinating targets".

    [/ QUOTE ]

People complain about getting ganged up on, because they have no chance.
  20. Took my main into Siren's for the first time in ages tonight. Teamed with a tank that had a problem getting teleported. He wasn't while i was there lol. Had some good fights, mainly against 3 stalkers that worked well together. After everyone had gone I went one on one with a Energy/Energy Brute. Had a little End Drain competition. That was a good fight too and hats off to the brute for not running when he was low on health with no endurance.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
It is a niche and would not apply in 99% of fights.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So 99% of the time its not worth knowing.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
lmao photoshop, maybe he didnt hit 50, maybe an illusion

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Could be 47?
