Good Job all
I think there was roughly 13 people that made it on test to do the IoP trial. Managed to get a debt reduction IoP. The trial was very quick altho i think this was because we had an abundance of Corruptors.
Edited number of people. -

I think he meant Prestige is gained from players defeating other players - like the bonus you get per enemy player in RV during the 5 minute downtime before the zone resets.
[/ QUOTE ]
Even so this type of rewards are totally irrelevant to pvp and give more reason for people to yell "go away we farm badges/prestige" in pvp zones
[/ QUOTE ]
But you could only farm it by PvP-ing - to earn it, you'd have to fight other players - this is a good thing, isn't it?
[/ QUOTE ]
Depends if people just line up for their friends waiting to get ganked. -
[ QUOTE ]
But an awful lot of people bought CoH because it had no PvP, it was a pure PvE game and people didn't have to worry about the builds/playstyle and tbh attitude of it all. And the bad stories continue to go around (justified bad stories in many cases).
[/ QUOTE ]
After 19 months I don't think this is a valid reason anymore. Villains went on sale with PvP and that was 11 months ago.
Its true about the attitude though, it does put alot of people off and I've seen new players enter the zone but no idea if they keep returning. There definatly needs to be more variety in PvP zones regards to different ATs.
I was in Siren's Call on Union as my villain and managed to organise them into a respectible fighting force which managed to wipe out the heroes a few times. Pretty even with 8 a side. Altho the numbers did change in the time i was there. There were always more heroes.
I'm tempted to organise another night of PvP in Sirens with a sign up thread. Like I did last June . Except no one does Hotspots because that was more PvE than PvP. -

mine is i have to say watch a villain battle a hero if the villain wins and he goes to rest when he starts resting attack him then i get abused for using good tactics!
[/ QUOTE ]
Sneaky, but a completely viable tactic. Whats he doing resting out of his base?lol
-
I think I would have run if I was a regen and another Brute came up with a heavy.
-
I had a good fight the other night.
Had just entered Siren's Call and saw a MM (turned out to be Zombie/Dark) flying around at the corner of the zone (on the inside of the L shape). No pets in sight so I decide to drop him and attempt to fight him. He plummets down and it knocks a bit of health off.
I turn off hover and plummet down behind him, turning on hover at the last second so i don't hurt myself.
He instantly heals himself, raises zombies and stops me running with Tar Patch. I teleport a few feet back out of range of his heal and the tar and hover a few feet off the ground so the Zombies can't get me.
I then start laying into him with my debuffs, finally putting down Oil Slick (unfortunatly it didn't light up when i fired a burning arrow).
He then attempts to run and he gets round a corner but I teleport him right back and reapply the debuffs. I use a couple of insp and get the final shot off.
No insults or talking, I just sent a 'GF' message.
No stalkers or anyone else got me during the fight either. -
I have a TA defender and I tried a Grav/TA controller. I think i prefer the defender because you can concentrate on firing debuffs into a nicely herded group while the rest of your team wipes them out. Makes for fast levelling.
Its pretty useless for soloing though. -
I got a sonic/sonic defender to 50 and its good fun. Good mix between buffing and debuffing. The +res numbers are noticable too and i get a few nice comments.
Clarity is great in PvP. -
I was in a good team the other night, the invul tank absolutly loved me when his nicely herded group got the TA treatment. I think defenders do better if groups are herded, but it does get boring. Dark, Kinetics, Rad and TA all have area debuffs that are useful. Forcefields, Empathy and Sonics do well with either nicely herded groups or chaos.
I haven't had any trouble recently on my TA and my debuffs did make a difference. I get lots of comments about how the team is doing more damage, hitting alot or getting through mobs faster when i'm around. I also get to brown peoples pants when i fire off flash arrow. -
S4 was capped at 46. I'm up for it what ever the level though.
-
How many from each SG entered?
-
LMS ended around 11:37pm lol. Lasted about 2hours 49 minutes. Irritation is the winner.
-
LMS still going... lol only two stalkers going at it now after they teamed to take out a Scrapper.
-
The FFA was good, 30 minutes was a bit long though.
The LMS got boring at the end as there were people hiding. Someone suggested it should be squishies only and timed lol.
I'm looking forward to the SG rumble. -

Quick question.
Do we need specific Aura-less, cape-less cozzies for this one?
Best be prepared, rather a rush at Steel Canyon Icon!
[/ QUOTE ]
Go to Founder's Falls Icon, they give a much better deal. -
You could just use the temp power from RV.
I think having a large Heavy direct from RV would be a bit much. The controller of the Heavy would just hide while it one hits everything and was pretty much impregnable. In the enclosed spaces it would take up all the room too lol. -

But the actual action of doing it is not against the EULA. What is (apparantly) against the EULA is how the person on the receiving end feels.
[/ QUOTE ]
Most people will let the GMs decide, and petition anyway. Whether the TP into a mob was griefing or not. -
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry I meant TPing into mobs is a tactic, causing debt is a result of this action and the action isn't against the EULA.
[/ QUOTE ]
Your not reading the whole statement.
Repeatedly causing debt on purpose is griefing.
Teleporting the same person a few times or more, into a Mob that kills them everytime, within 5 minutes, with no intention of attacking is griefing. Therefore against the EULA. -

you may not agree with it, but name calling doesn't help.
[/ QUOTE ]
Debting someone really doesnt help either
[/ QUOTE ]
But only one of the above is against the EULA.

Repeatedly causing debt on purpose is griefing, which is against the EULA. -
Ball Lightning is very useful after a Fulcrum shift. For PvE its a must. If you want to go down the end draining route slot Short Circuit with 2 accuracy, 2 recharge and 2 end mods. Then with Transferance and Transfusion you can disable just about anything. Has to be done quickly and then you have to keep them on 0 endurance.
If your in a full team with a few scrappers, wait for them to run in (and take the aggro) then Fulcrum Shift and use Ball Lightning. -
[ QUOTE ]
My initial thoughts on the defender part is: I don't like standing around doing very little during battle.
[/ QUOTE ]
What?? Your doing something wrong if your standing around doing very little. If your not buffing and healing you should be attacking. Especially with large teams there is no time to stand around, there is always something that can be done.
