I made one of these the other day. Bit short on prestige to place it though. 2 mil for the item and another 2.5 for the room
i think i'm about 1mil short. With I9 almost here it might be easier buying the salvage you need over the auction.

It's zones where I have trouble with TP Foe or Spines, but the close proximity of arenas make them less dangerous, but then I run into trouble against Defenders/Controllers.

Looks like the only way to perma cage now is by having a grav/sonic or ff as Dimension Shift and now Cage last roughly 15 seconds each. Step forward Captain Incarcerate
might need to check recharge on both powers.

There were no other Sonic + Empath teams, which is the key to why you won. Fort enabled you to hit with cage everytime and boosted your defence so you were harder to hit. -

You don't need 3 corruptors to "disrupt" an empath, one will do. Or a sonic with cage. Put the empath in the cage and all gank the weakest player. Even with the new changes this is a viable tactic. Without cage, someone will need to keep pressure on the empath so that he thinks twice about getting in close.

"Something" meaning "if the emp lags or goes afk or is hit by 34 webnades and isn't speed-boosted" or whatever.
Again I don't care for optimized teams, step out of the arena sometimes. Though to be honest... you want a team of 3 ice primary cors, let's take a team of 2 ice/nrj blasters and a ill/emp.
Siren : you won't ever see the emp. Blasters can spike each of the cors with total safety without any problem.
WB : you might see the emp, but now he probably has phase, and the blasters can spike you from snipe range thanks to BR.
RV/Arena : if somehow you ever put one of them below yellow, they'll hibernate and laugh at you.

I think if there was treasure there would be Arachnos and Longbow looking for it. Not to mention other scavengers. Heroes and Villains could do it for them but then there is a question of base security. Both sides would need a secure entry point.

Yeah the same solo PvPer's would probably be good in duels but bad at large scale team battles. I've been in a few pick up PvP teams where everyone is trying to solo the enemy and don't stand a chance. Sometimes they listen to me and become quite effective, other times they don't and i end up leaving when i get accused of being bossy lol.

Just wondering - have you ever played with a PvPer that was good at PvP and bad at PvE?

CoX requires less mouse clicking or targetting skills than most games. The skills that i'd say you need, is good reaction times in pressing buttons. Being able to follow what is happening on screen. Team work/communication and coordination. Making split second decisions and finally thinking ahead.

Build and knowledge on how things work only get you so far.

Inventions and Villains weren't designed into the game. They brought in ED to prepare for them though. Even ED wasn't in the game on release. They intended to balance the game at some point and planned it for over half a year. They are in now, same as PvP so they must have designed them all at some point. I get the impression they didn't have much clue how effective some powers would be as they are to this day monitoring and balancing them based on data and player feedback.

I think the Dev's chose to work on PvE first but always intended putting PvP in. Probably due to limited resources they couldn't do both at the same time without delaying the release of the game.

I remember the thread about that vid. It was interesting. The conclusion was that PvP had been planned for since the start of CoH.

No point organising anything until Defiant can get a team of 8. Until then it'll just be the usual Test on a Monday Night.

I have a Kinetic/Electric and I have to say the best way to drop toggles is drain endurance. Energy is more damaging so Siphon Power and slotting for damage is great.
If you want a knockback toon (completely useless in PvE, but fun) take repel and slot for knockback in your powers. This will make it hard to use transferance and transfusion to benefit yourself though. Hasten is good for getting powers back quickly. I use the Jumping pool for CJ (for when i'm immobilised), SJ (for getting around and chasing) and Acrobatics (for the knockback protection).
Leadership is nice, Tactics and Assualt are the best. More damage and a +perception buff. -
Some good fights tonight, I hope Defiant can get an 8 man team sorted. I'd like to see you on top form lol.
