    Contiguous map

I'd rather it just be like that in CoX 2. Ideally, there'd be less instanced missions too and more events like the burning buildings in Steel Canyon.

I'd love to be able to use Super Jump to leap from building to building from Talos to IP.
  2. My one villain (I only have 4 characters) will stay in the isles, not because I want him to stay there, but because I never play him.

Otherwise, any and all Villain AT characters I roll in the future will start in Praetoria. I detest Mercy Isle.

Drama much? No one takes things on these boards seriously. (At least they shouldn't). Just, please, stop talking about Kamen Riders.
  5. Wouldn't this be better suited for the Player Questions Forum?
  6. I would love to be able to choose different gloves for each hand and different boots for each foot as well as a different should piece for each shoulder.

Edit: Of course, maybe they'll hold off on anything really dramatic for. . .

  7. DP is a pretty cool set for a lot of characters. I always heard a few people complain the animations look a little too over-the-top, but I never thought much of it until I tried to make a good DP hitman-in-a-suit-with-black-gloves character; the animations just looked a little too goofy on him for me to play him.

    Water trick?

So I've got a simple question (at least, I think it's simple. ). In a few base pics, I've seen people make some fake water in their base. I recently started up my own SG and I've been wondering how to do this. Can anyone help me out?

Not that I don't believe you, but can you find a quote about that? Just curious because it sounds promising, but I don't remember him saying anything about something big coming up (aside from some oft-requested NPC parts to be made into player parts)

    Servers down?

Getting that too. Shame. I felt like base building.

Spines and Elec made out well because of their AoE design.

Siphon Power is going to be changed for Build Up the same reason Follow Up from Claws was changed to Build Up, it requires a tohit check and breaks your Hidden status.

I just don't see them axing any ST attacks.
Well my point on Power Siphon was I don't think it'll need a to-hit check since it looks to be a self buff already. (The icon has no target on it to indicate you use it by targeting anyone)
  13. The set looks similarly built like Claws.

    Quick Strike - Swipe
    Body Blow - Strike
    Smashing Blow - Slash
    Repulsing Torrent - Shockwave
    Confront - Confront ()
    Burst - Spin
    Focused Burst - Focus
    Concentrated Strike - Eviscerate

The only two that don't pair up exactly looks to be Power Siphon and Follow Up, with Power Siphon being a straight up self buff and FU () being an attack with a BU effect. Considering I love Claws and KB ( again), I'm sure I'll love Kinetic Melee.

I'm thinking Siphon Power might stay because it already looks to be a self buff, but you're definitely right on Confront being swapped with Placate. I'm honestly not sure about Burst, though, just because I know Spines and Elec Melee both have AoEs. I know generally they get rid of the AoE power, but maybe the devs have been keeping tabs on this thread and might try giving Stalkers a bit more AoE.
  14. Recently, I was toying around with various builds. I've been intrigued with the idea of a "tough-squishy" so I decided to build towards something that could get strong Defense and Resistance numbers. I'm no expert at making builds, but from what I can tell, this build looks pretty solid. Comments/Criticism/Etc appreciated.

Agree with this too. David presents himself well in front of the camera. (That and WW said "the next level" again in her part. )
  17. Not a whole lot new here, but the little bit of electric control and kinetic melee footage was nice.
  18. Basically, you can have up to 5 of a given IO Set bonus. Any more than 5 of the same bonus, and anything past the fifth doesn't actually affect you. (Just to note as an example, a 5% recharge bonus would be considered different than a 6.25% recharge bonus)
  19. Malta clearly lives by the mantra of "go big or go home."
  20. I've always used 1-5, Alt+1 - Alt+4 (Alt+5 is kinda hard to reach), and Shift+1 - Shift +5 more most of frequent-use powers. I can't stand reaching across the keyboard for 6-0, so I just click those powers. (That's usually where I keep my toggles.)

Edit: That and I have two side buttons on my mouse, so I usually bind Button4 to my travel power, Shift+Button4 to sprint, Button5 to some form of healing power (Reconstruction on my scrapper, Transfusion on my Kin, etc), and Shift+Button5 to some other important power. (Speed Boost on my Kin).

So quite simply, Heroes and Villains who "re-affirm" their respective 'Hero' and 'Villain' alignments can earn Hero and Villain merits. These merits are different than merits normally earned via Task/Strike Forces and completing story arcs.

Heroes redeem the Hero merits in Fort Trident, and Villains redeem the Villain merits in the Crucible. Characters will be able to CHOOSE the recipe of their choice. (It is not a random roll redemption.)

Fort Trident and the Crucible also has additional functions, but the meat of those areas are the Hero and Villain merits reward redemption.

Only players who have upgraded their accounts with the Going Rogue expansion, and who've chosen to stay true to their Hero and Villain alignments through the Going Rogue Alignment System will gain access to those hero/villain lounges.

We'll have more information about this as the Going Rogue launch approaches.

I hope that clarifies it....there were so many things we had to cover during the panel.
I'm feeling kinda iffy on introducing yet ANOTHER form of currency. Good info, though.

This too. I can understand not wanting Political/Religious threads, but if the community is interested in also discussing other games, even if they are the competition's, I think it's only fair to let them. CaH/V Culture is essentially the off-topic forum, afterall.
  24. Gonna miss Reputation a little bit, but oh well.

Otherwise, I like the board merges. Is PvP going to be moved to a different sub-category then since it'll be one board instead of a group of boards now?
