I don't think incarnate powers are affected by buffs/debuffs a character has on them. I know that during a Rage crash, for instance, I still do full damage on my Pyro judgement.

Quote:It features quite a bit of PVP IOs. THB has a build he's playing with on test that he loves (and is working on collecting the ingredients on live), I think it's in one of his other threads. Thanks a lot guys that helped me come to a decision on which one.I think I will want to go with Tri Form WS since we want to be 50 BEFORE Freedom. Also I like AoE and the chaos that comes with it lol. However now I want to know about this Superior Human Form build.
Sounds interesting so Im guessing Purple IO Sets are the cause?
Speaking of Purple IOs, aside from the level wide coverage, they don't give you any def and such so I don't really use them too much. Am I missing something?
But yes, most purple IOs excel in recharge, but there are other enhancements in which you can stack up some defense too.
Edit to add: Apparently I was thinking of his Monster PB build. His WS one only has a couple PVP ones (assuming this is it).

Quote:I told you we were doing Warshade Heaven first...Wondered what'd happened. Came in, all dolled up and had noplace to go.
Wound up having to settle for iTrials instead when I got no response.
When we finished, I ended up broadcasting to fill the Moonfire teams for like 20 minutes, so I don't know where you were, but you weren't watching Pro Vig. -
Quote:You know what, I just realized something. It's rather embarrassing. Strike Force SUNDAY. I don't work Sundays.I'd NEVER make that time. You may want to keep in mind, that is the same timeframe Santa had for his kheldian superteam that collapsed.
I don't know why I was thinking in weekday mode. Carry on, nothing to see here.

Quote:First of all, good choice on picking a kheldIve been away from EATs for a long time so I am kind of in the same predicament. I have a few questions as well. Im rolling a 3man team with 2 of my friends they are stalker(with experience playing) and a Dp/Cld Corr (with maybe medium experience playing). So I figure I will need something with a backbone so I chose an EAT.
1. Which would be a better fit for this team PB or WS and why? I think Ill prolly spend a lot of time in Lobster-mode with this team but we also team with other people so who knows.
2. If I went WS would I be better off as an all Human form?
3. When it comes to IO Set Bonuses I have been messing around with Rech and doing okay. However I am not used to not having a lot of Def (Coming off of a shield brute aint helpn).
4. Do you have to be in human form to use your Incarnate powers?
1. With the upcoming changes to PB, it's really a matter of choice. Any preference I would give you would be biased towards warshades, because they are awesome right now. One thing to keep in mind, I guess, is that a shades pets are still superior to a peacebringers, and that you can have 3 of them out there full time, blasting away like little happy fluff-balls (whereas PB ones just fizzle out and explode).
2. It depends on how much you're willing to invest in your WS. If you plan on doing a moderately expensive build (or less) I recommend tri-form. If you plan on investing billions, human form. (From what I've heard, there is a certain threshold of money that you can throw at your WS in which human form becomes more effective overall. You'll have to ask someone else about that though.)
3. Recharge is really all you need, just enough to get perma hasten/eclipse. After that, any SL defense you can stack up (generally by way of kinetic combats) can only help.
4. Nope, you can be in your forms and still use them. -

Fair warning to anyone that finds themself on my team this friday, I have a new build, so I'm working myself into it.

The main thing I want to know is if this time would be bad for any of the people that show up to SFS on a regular basis? Let me know either way! If I do end up changing the time it won't be this upcoming sunday but the sunday after that.

Mornin' folks! It's somewhat late notice, but later today I will be running a series of task forces with my fellow illusionists, starting with the Eden trial, then moving on to the STF, ITF, and LGTF.
I already have some spots reserved, so if this is something you might be interested in, please speak up here!
We will begin forming at 4pm (eastern), 1pm pacific. Any questions, please PM me. -
Another successful (and multi-team!) Kheldian Friday! We ran the Moonfire TF in striga and showed Arkahn a thing or two about messing with pissed off squids.
But before that, we ran a little of what I like to call "Warshade Heaven." Instead of putting it into words, I made a video for you. Like someone once said, a picture is worth a thousand words. Well folks, this video is worth at least 8 GBs of HD room.
On a completely unrelated note that has nothing to do with capping out my hard drive, I'm sorry for all those disconnections team 1. Took me forever to delete enough junk to be able to log back in.
Until next week, my fellow khelds! -

Quote:Ah, right. I always forget what the WTF is--Moonfire then! I like that choice.I would be open for starting off the fun with some Warshade Heaven in AE as a pre-game... As for the actual TF, it might be thematically appropriate (and convenient) if we did a Moonfire, as it is also the WST!
Once we're all formed up, we should pass out a questionnaire to find out how many heroes/shades of grey/villains we have, so that we have an idea what we can expect to pull off in the future. -
Quote:I would be fine with running a Sutter.
As for a suggested event - an Admiral Sutter would be fun, it has a wide level range, is a fun TF and is great for XP. I personally prefer the villainside version (Mortimer Kal) but it appears a lot of our kheldian population are boring old heroes, so blueside events seem to be the best choice.
I'd have to see about turning Lady vigilante, but yes, it indeed seems most of us are heroic. -
Quote:Hmmmmmmmm... I don't know. I know Sept wants to do a co-op one so he can bring his shade, but that leaves us with only a few choices. So, who is showing up for tonight's all Kheld action and what are we going to roll?
I was hoping to start early so we can show our fellow kheldians Warshade Heaven, if you're up to that, AIB? -
Quote:I personally prefer dancing through the forms*, because it let's me conceptualize a gracefully spinning alien spinning through forms and laying waste to the foes around her. Granted, it's not really graceful in game, but I can squint and pretend!Meh. I went Human for concept and I enjoy not having the slot crunch or having to stance-dance. That's just me, though.
I do wish I didn't have to worry about slotting, though. It's always a pain having to weigh the cost/benefit of moving a slot on a tri-form.
*I used to be a human form player myself, but it wasn't a monster build like TwoHeadedBoys, and it was just too slow paced for me. -
-
I don't plan on leaving Protector, but I may move some of my lesser played guys over there for giggles. Let me know if/when you set that up.
-
Quote:Is there any issue you're having with it? I mean, it's not like 'shades are getting the overhaul peacebringers are, so I don't see what the problem is.
Any thoughts on what I might want to upgrade / change on my current build?
I guess, if you're just looking for opinions, I would recommend switching out invisibility for Vengeance. Even if you mostly solo, you have no need of invisibility, and Venge serves just as well as a LotG mule as well as being an awesome defense boost for when/if you team.
Aside from that, I don't see why you got Acrobatics (since you got so much inherent kb protection already, and the hold protection is meager at best), and I would steal some slots from maneuvers to place in the fluffies, so you can put some purple pet IOs in there. Preferably dam/rech and chance for build up.
I would switch out acro for Stygian return. Sure, maybe you're awesome and never die, whatever. The rez is just that good though.
I think that's it, though I probably missed some things. -
Quote:Have you actually finished the last mission and zoned to Paragon City? Because if I remember correctly, the final decision (hero/villain) counts as #5.Ok, how do you actually get this badge? ParagonWiki says "Choose Loyalist or Resistance morality five times". I've played through the Praetoria arcs on my Resistance character...all of them, and am at level 19.7. I have chosen Resistance in every moral situation. As I think through things, you choose once at the beginning, and once in each zone. That's four times, not five. Do you make a fifth choice anytime? Do I have to turn off XP and try to run another Resistance arc before outleveling everything?
Alternatively, you can turn off xp and there is another opportunity to earn a morality credit that you would normally miss due to outleveling it. Depends on what contacts you've done and what side you're in, but the last zone is generally the one I tend to outlevel. -
Here comes Mommy...see Layla run. Run Layla, run!

Quote:What did you expect? You basically insulted anyone who ever unlocked and used an incarnate power. You can have a multi-billion dollar build, but as you have found, it doesn't fix holes in your defenses.Wow ... way to lower the tone, you twisted what i said so badly i would almost call this a troll comment...
:if you truly think temps and insp are on a par with incarnates ... your wrong
:I wasnt arguing with anyone, about anything! i clearly stated that it was only my opinion and the main reason for expressing it was to avoid peoples suggestions being "get Clarion" , which based on your love of incarnates would probably have been your first comment anyway -_-'
Sorry to the other people on this thread, i usually ignore 'flamers' this just seemed so angry for no reason.
Quote:Imo its easy mode for people to lazy to invest in there toon and makes me sad
