Wow! Count me in, both for Cons and $$$.

Captain Neem, the greatly esteemed...!
I love it. Young Michael (2020 Vision) has grown up... going to bars, picking up strange heroes, thwarting the Council.
Waiting with baited breath for the next piece! -
Steele Magnolia and 2020 Vision (mother/son pair) from Whitmoore Apartments RP thread submitted.
Looking forward to reading it! -

Pandora picked up the mess, paid, and left. -
Pandora was new to Paragon City and had only been in town for a few days. Those days had been eventful, but the empty hours remaining in the weekend stretched before her, promising fretfulness and boredom while she awaited words from the few people she knew here.
She was exploring the city, that's how she found the comic shop. It had been several years since she'd given up reading comics, lost somewhere between military service and long hours of night classes... Really, she couldn't quite remember why she'd stopped.
Curiousity drew her in, the attractive displays and posters snagged her interest and credit card, and it wasn't long before she approaching the checkout counter with a thick stack of current comics, two years of back issues for The Books of Magic and Witchblade, and a few graphic novels for good measure.
Her eyes were still roaming the shop, lest she overlook something else to spend her hard-earned money on. That's how she tripped over the Kid Valor promo display, spilling goods to the floor in a rain of toys and fluttering pages.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" She dropped her stack on the counter and began to clean up the mess.

I have one male character, which I created for RP/concept purposes.
I have to agree, I enjoy the view far more! But I can see the question marks rise over others' heads when I say, "I have to go, time to cook dinner for my husband."
Utter befuddlement. -
I'm probably not the only one with this one my "favorite threads" list, so that I can add a post to it before Forum maintenance, thus ensuring it doesn't disappear!
You still have an audience, Slipshod. -

Oh, great, thanks a lot Statesman. Now you've done it. You just had to go and make sure I'd be totally and completely compelled to keep on sending you guys money for the foreseeable future, didn't you?
Man, first you guys make the game so darn addicting all on its own, then you impress the heck out of me with statements like that. It's as if you never want me to be free of this game.

You've got me, States!

Deliberately: Verbally ripped them a new orifice for being a pompous, arrogant, high-handed *******.
Accidentally: Shot them in the chest with a high-powered rifle.
You can see both on the Whitmoore Apartments thread. -

Amen brother!

My SG mates joke that they can tell I'm a RL female because my toons actually wear clothes! My main's primary costume is a full set of metal armor with helmet and goggles. I do have one skimpy "evening outfit" but that's for when I'm teaming with my RL husband! -

Unix awoke in mid air her mind was fuzzy and not comprehending what was going on. She settled to the ground as Steel Pixie came over to her and began to shove various pills down her throat. Unix was still in a bit of a haze trying to figure out where she was and how she was still alive if she was alive. Unix came around as she felt rage pass thru her body. She saw Sam walked up to him and un-buckled his collar then scribbled something on the hellions notepad. She then kicked in a wall socket and ripped off the face plate two bear wires now dangled from the wall. She ejected a small rectangle for her gauntlet and pressed the wires up against it began to glow. Unix looked at Steel Pixie This is all going to end now you might want to run now. Unix got up and walked up to Constance calmly handed her the note pad written across the page was Grab Lupis, RUN!
[/ QUOTE ]
(OOC: Coordinated w/ Citizen_Stu)
Constance heard Unix and read the note. She grabbed Sam and ran for it, barely making it out of the main blast radius in time. The concussive blast of the explosion rocked her off her feet, sending girl and dog tumbling to the ground.
The cumulative effect between her already existing injuries and the blast was too much. The medical teleporter issued to her earlier that day kicked in, and both girl and dog vanished in a snap of blue light. -
[ QUOTE ]
"The pills help, huh?" she muttered to herself. She started pushing the pills into Unix's mouth and rubbing her throat to make her swallow - one pill of every color she could find.
[/ QUOTE ]
Drugs? Or medicine? What was it about some people that they couldn't resist putting things in their mouth like a baby, Constance wondered.
Trying to keep the battle away from Unix, Constance forced her way forward, pushing the front ranks back and continuing her assault.
While the body was important, it was the mind where true strength lay. She focused her will, calling upon years of meditation and training, to hold them back. -
Constance saw Unix go down, front covered with blood and her face etched with pain. The Hellion advancing on her bore a knife... and an evil leer.
Grabbing the Hellion she was in melee with, she twisted her fists into his jacket, using him as a springboard. Her feet caught the knife-bearing Hellion square in the face, sending him thumping to the floor. He did not get up.
Nearby, a dog was barking. -
[ QUOTE ]
"Duck, you lot" he yelled, as a hellion fell, a small heel in his face illuminated by an x-ray laser strike.
O'Neill gave them a second, then flicked open a whole group of breakers. a violent explosion ripped through those nearby. He saw a couple of hellions fall.
[/ QUOTE ]
Constance dropped flat to the floor, spread eagled, balancing on her fingertips and toes. A roil of heat and tumult washed over her back, tossing her hair.
That had been close... and effective, she saw as she looked up. Very effective.
With a springing motion, she snapped back up, leading with one foot into the nearest remaining Hellion, sending him flying backwards and skidding across the floor.
One more down. -
Battle was enjoined.
Drawing upon the pool of calm within herself, the result of years of training and endless hours of meditation, Constance moved to meet it with even breaths and movements like well oiled clockworks.
Close combat, with many foes, favored the lone warrior. Large numbers often worked against combatants, especially if did not practice as a group. While this was a strike against the Hellions, the same could be said for her own little thrown-together group of misfits.
Bullets, lots of them, ricochets and otherwise streamed through the air. She'd practiced dodging arrows... one, two, three at a time.
Not bullets. Not THIS MANY bullets. No matter how she moved, even had her maneuvering been perfect, could she evade them all. So like punches, she rolled with them, moving in time with what she could... and blocking out the pain with iron will.
Blood blossomed like tulips on her shirt, jeans, dripping into her shoes. No one wound serious, but many....
She would not fail, she did not falter. She could not, so long as one opponent remained standing. Such was her training, and such were her Order. -
What's with the music, everyone in the building is going to hear it...
In lieu of speaking, since she couldn't, Constance executed a spinning kick, landing softly back into the position in which she'd begun. -
I'm am interested. I've not tried RP in game, but write on the forums, and would love to give it a try. I can start a new character.
I'm not a power gamer, most of my characters are still under level 20. Is that okay? -
[ QUOTE ]
"Look out you lot, they're headed for the stairs down" he snapped over the external speakers as he twisted toward the stairs, ignoring the people to his left.
"And get the collie out of the way, I'm a vet, not a miracle worker"
The whining as the X-ray emitters reached discharge power failed to drown either the suits hissing and groaning, or the crescendo of Handel's firework music.
O'Neill gave a wry grin
Oh well, I'll figure out how to turn it off later there are worse things I could be listening too.. Tatu is probably one of them, hope I get to find out
[/ QUOTE ]
Constance nodded, giving a thumbs up. She grabbed Sam's collar, with an apologetic frown, and dragged him toward the cages, hoping to get him out of the line of fire before battle was engaged. -

Constance wasn't quite sure what to do... this was her first day in Paragon City, as well as her first day as a registered hero. She hadn't even had time to read the guidebook yet, just browse through it on the train!
The voice ahead of her didn't sound like a villain, not even deranged... deranged would be Unix.
She released the dog's collar and concentrated, listening and waiting. -
Dear Diary,
Paragon City is amazing, its not at all like L.A. We even had snow today, like in Aspen, but without the skiing.
I registered at City Hall right off. Like, wow. Heroes everywhere! And some of the guys looked even better than Governor Arnie, muscles popping out like popcorn. Serious eye candy, this hero thing is going to rock!

Dear Diary,
You wont believe what happened! I was on my way to the Paragon U. to register for classes, and this gross looking zombie grabbed a lady right off the street! It was like a Night of the Living Dead flashback or something. Anyway, I followed him into the sewer, and like, gross! Really gross! It was the most disgusting place I ever saw in my life. I don't think I'll ever get the smell out of my hair. Mom would be so appalled.
The radon blasts worked just like they said they would, knocked those zombies right off their feet. I got the lady out, and she acted like this sort of thing happened every day? Thanks, Ive got to run now have to pick my kids up from daycare?!? People live in this city? If I didnt have powers, no way Id be staying where there are more gangbangers and zombies on the street than cops.

Dear Diary,
I had my first class today at Paragon U., and you wont believe who my Bio professor is! DOCTOR SANSTAD! The guy is a real HERO, and majorly hunkalicious. Good thing Im pretty good with science already, I spent half the class in a daydream Too bad he's married. -

Constance couldn't answer him, naturally. So, hoping he was telling the truth, and was a nervous type of hero, and really was a hero for that matter, she put her right hand up and stepped out of the cloud. The left hand she twined in the dog's collar, pulling him out as well.
She didn't want the dog to get blasted either.
