This was a blast! Let's do it again.
-
I don't recall that we've teamed before, but welcome back!
-
Thanks to Ocho (and Mr Wentworth who snagged me) for the nice title. I'd completely forgotten about it.
Help make someone's holiday better, Liberty. -
I would so say "YES!"
I'm married so... but if my husband had proposed like this I'd be so happy. -
This character is based upon a character I played for Mage: The Ascension - A Euthanatos whose Avatar was the angel. Ekaterin died in 1998 and came back. The sword, shield, and wings are 'borrowed' until such time as her work is done.

I've been playing Sgt Pandora for five years. She was first seen on the Whitmoore Apartments thread as an RP writing character and later concurrently there and in American_Valor's Tales of the Council story.
I made her as a playing character later. It was hard deciding on a theme song for her because there could be so many, because her story is so long. Here's one, for events after the conclusion of Tales of the Council

I experimented with writing for this character and found it too limiting. Still, the image and power of emotion behind creating her was one of the strongest creative experiences I've had for COH. She's a ghost.
I first became a fan of this artist in 1988, a world and lifetime ago when I first left home and started out on my own.

I've been writing and playing this character for nearly as long as Sgt Pandora. Like Panda she also got her start on the Whitmoore Apartments thread in late 2005.
She's a seer of past, present, and future times and across dimensions. I don't know if anyone caught it but there's a theme there that predates my learning about Statesman and Recluse and the Well of the Furies.
Pandora, Cassandra, and their brother Prometheus... think about it.

I've been roleplaying and playing this character for four years. She probably has the 2nd most played hours after Sgt Pandora, both of them having 2-3000 hours of playing time.

I've been roleplaying, writing for, and playing this character for four years. Some of her adventures can be found in Paragon University over the last two years.

I've been roleplaying, writing for, and playing for this character since early 2005. He has many theme songs that tell the story of his evolution from teenager to (in the future) President of the United States. He is the son of my namesake character Steele Magnolia and the father of American Valor's Global Shield. The beginnings of his story can be found on the Whitmoore Apartments thread back in 2005 when he first debuted.

All of my characters save one, who never had fitness and only needs a bit more stamina, will be respeced. One of the bennies of inherent fitness is that I'll be able to fit Recall Friend into every build now.

1. Yes. I like seeing the server come together.
2. Yes and no. I'm willing to lead a team, but I'd prefer to stick to leading Mothership raids. -
-
I can make it. I'll bring Sgt Pandora Rad/Rad 50 Defender.
-
I think... I am in awe. That's just plain hilarious. I read it to my husband who doesn't even play COH, but has heard my rants RE: Praetoria and watched over my shoulder as I played.
Even he laughed. -
I don't know what is going on but yesterday both my mother and I experienced severe lag issues, the kind you used to see in the old Hami raids.
We're in different states and use different internet providers. This happened both in a small instance map and in the zone. We both have good, new (as of this summer) computers that are UM capable so it isn't on our end. -
I talked to her a little while ago, and guess what? She wants to play COH tonight. Now that's a tough broad who really loves this game. She's the original Steel Magnolia.
<3 Mom. -
As some of you know, my Mom (@Steele's Mom) went into the hospital on Monday. She had heart surgery for stents. Everything went fine and she is now home and resting comfortably.

Since Marketing obviously didn't pay attention to the first thread:
I'm not buying this pack. It's a waste and I feel like you're gouging me. I've bought everything else for three acounts. I am a fangirl, but even I have limits.
And... At least LOTRO is free to play and microtransactions make sense. I'd rather buy Turbine points than this dross. -
Quote:How do you do the 180 degree thing? I've been playing over 6 years and have no idea!I have a friend who does that and I find it infuriating. He's also prone to having his character suddenly stop and stand there for ages, and then suddenly have a wall-of-text word balloon floating over his character's head because he's stopped everything just to say something. He does this even in the thick of battle.
I, on the other hand, will usually start running backward while turning my character a quick 180 degrees with the mouse, and fluidly start running forward when the character has turned. Though I have no idea how this looks to other players, it gets me out of tight stops very quickly! -
My wisp/drone/fairy is very useful. The buff is night. The aggro draw is even better. The only character I don't bother on is my tank who routinely wades into x8 spawns. The buff pet just doesn't last. They're awesome with any character that can buff them.

Quote:Just an aside - I love that save feature. I'm an RP'er. In Praetoria we only get the one costume slot so I use the save feature when I switch outfits for different missions and RP purposes. Even my toons with 5 costume slots use it for my holiday outfits. That's the good thing about the "Save" features in the costume creator. No need to guess anymore.
(Also, in your options settings you have a save feature too. You can select to turn off Pop Ups, hit save, then go into any alt and have the option of hitting "Load" to turn them off. Any character created after the file is saved is made with Pop Ups turned off, by default, too)
