Well we -could- suggest that... Yes.
However... As an avid RPer, myself, I would have no problem saving other people's graphics cards. Even whilst RPing that all my powers are functioning fully.
Which is why I made the alternate suggestion: Only Affecting Self
-Rachel- -
We know about the Power Suppression room. But you have to leave that room and walk through the lag-fest to get to the contact and mission entrance.
-Rachel- -
*laughs so hard her boyfriend comes over to read over her shoulder*
You win the internets.
-Rachel- -
I can't see the defensives, though... Since those are the ones everyone complains about. Shadowfall creates a half-ton of black particles at your feet, the various force-field bubbles make little bubbles around each character.
It's an exponential growth of pain in the neck.
Alternatively... How about 'only affecting self' while inside AE or Wentworth's?
-Rachel- -
Oh! Oh! AND Electrical Assault for Doms in ish 12 >.>
-Rachel- -
Pssssst! You seem to have missed both Psi Blast and Psi Manipulation >.>
Issue 12.

It'a always been a matter of getting the most bang for their buck. It takes a long while to make a new set. Animations, spreadsheets, power balancing, testing, going back and doing it over, more testing, etc.
So they aimed, primarily, for sets that would be the most used.
Brutes, Tankers, Scrappers, and Stalkers all share most of their primary and secondary sets. So 2 powersets being put in the game is usable by 4 groups.
Control sets are used by only 2 ATs (Controllers and Dominators) Buff/Debuff used by 3, 4 if it's not overpowering. Ranged by 3, Assault, Manipulation, and Pets by only 1 AT each.
Honestly? Buff/Debuff and Ranged Blast are the two that are most likely to see a new set.
-Rachel- -
I'd sign on both AE And Wentworths... On the condition that the power suppression could be contained inside the buildings.
I'd hate to be flying over it at a massive height and just starts falling for no reason. =-3

How about my newest character, Mindtwitch?
Nadine Wissenschaft, of the Ingolstadt Wissenschafts. The youngest of the Wissenschaft line, she is a disgrace to her name.
The Wissenschafts are a well known bavarian family who, during the dark ages, came to be known as wizards and witches. Long serving as the wise men and advisors to kings, they used their remarkable minds to learn about the world around them far in advance of other men.
So well known was the name Wissenschaft it eventually came to be the german word for 'Science', a prestigious honor for a family hailing from the hometown of the Illuminati.
She's the black sheep of her family, having only completed two doctorates in Medical Science and Pharmacology.
She's my spazzy Telekinetic/telepath character. She works for Sin Enterprises (Virtue) as powered security. =-3

Y'know? You're right. I really shouldn't bother with the wheretofors or whyhows of her attempt at comedy, thus offering her more fuel to annoy people with. I'll just slot her on ignore for a while and be happier for it.
Thanks, Lothic! *huggles*

You're welcome... I guess.
Personally I've always followed Sun-Tzu's timeless adage: Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
Sticking my fingers in my ears (via Ignoring someone) is pretty much the opposite of that sage advice.
Whatever gets you through the day I suppose.
Take care.

See... I can understand and respect that...? But when someone's -only- method of attack is hurling insults putting them on ignore disarms them completely. It's like imepentrable armor. =-3

Practical jokes are, typically, performed on friends and relatives (At least where I'M from!) as dumping a bucket of water onto a complete stranger can and often will cause problems.
The Spring Snakes in the Peanut can: awesome prank to pull on Dad.
Whoopee Cushion: Hilarious (if you're a fan of body humor)
Carlin, by the way, is a -topical- comic. An Insult comic picks people in the audience and celebrities and then simply makes fun of them for comedic effect. That's all an insult comic did.
Frostweaver, on the other hand, has applied negative namecalling to activities that the Devs have demanded.
Rat Fink, Tattletale, Crybaby. These are all tools used primarily by guilty parties to make others feel bad for doing the right thing. And typically they're used by children. So even though this is a 'Joke' thread she's insulting others for doing what's right.
And her initial comment was that -I- got hit with the water of her 'joke'. Which was a backhanded method of accusing me of being a 'Crybaby rat fink Narc of the Fun Police'.
Frankly, I find it to be insulting for the fun of insulting people. And I don't want or need that kind of abuse aimed at myself, my friends, or my community.
Honestly? Take this negativity -back- to the appropriate threads, and let some actual suggestions get put in it's place.
-Rachel- -
Pardon me, but I find it terribly unfunny to be an 'insult comic'. I never liked Triumph. *shrugs!*
Before anyone jumps on me for disliking a server: I'm talking about a hand-puppet with a cigar. :P
'Getting' someone with a practical joke is, by far, more entertaining than applying negative connotations to otherwise neutral actions.Insult comics get their jollies by, ultimately, being bullies. Making fun of other's faults for their own gain. And I find little humor in that.
-Rachel- -
This thread is full of Fail!
Even as a 'Joke'
-Rachel- -
*melts!* So nice of you! Noww I have to send my boyfriend to go buy me one of those... My C'thulhu is much less huggable! >_<
-Rachel- -
Ohhhhh! You guys are soooo sweet! *huggles for everyone as soon as I'm not feeling contagious!*
-Rachel- -
Sorry, Forbin. But I'm sick and tired.... Not of the arguments (though that too) I mean-sick-...
I'll try to get back to my happy go lucky self ASAP. Pleh. *hunts for Pepto Bismol*
-Rachel-
*Edit!* Awww... Forbin. *blushes* Touched! In the head. *nods firmly*

50s can exemplar. 10s can sidekick up. The player base in CoH is the most malleable of all games on the market.
As to why I seem irritated
[ QUOTE ]
But my point is farm missions in AE appear to be bannable based on my current understanding of this new system.
Bunch of hypocrisy thus far. O yeah! Use the system the way
THE PLAYER base sees fit! Oh, no no no! Not that way! You are leveling too fast and angry old man and angry old lady can't find a team because their entire SG left i13.
Then feel free not to complain when players use the AE system the way they see fit.
And banning farming is?
And yet people are being threatened by the Devs for creating/running missions that they want which include but are not limited to farm missions.
Would end the power leveling that everyone not-including myself is so upset about according to Positron. Would make Atlas park an accessible zone for lowbies again. Would also be something more to look forward to at level 50. Anything else?
[/ QUOTE ]
Those would be why. Each and every one of them yet another "Posi sucks! AE Should be farmable or noone should have it! WAH" comment.
So of the 10 posts you've made in this thread (including the first post) 7 have included something childish and irritating.
End of thread. Take your cries to the appropriate thread. Don't make a half-hearted attempt at a "Suggestion" to cover it up and draw people into posting against your suggestion, which you seem to feel gives you license to complain about the MA fixes and exploiter bannings.
-Rachel- -
No.
This is a Horrendous idea.
Among other things it separates the player base into 50's and 'everyone else'
The Boxed Set has already shipped. It's too late to alter the text on the box now, and anything else would be false advertising.
Please feel free to end this thread, Now. If you feel like moaning about Powerleveling, Farming, and Exploits: please go to the appropriate threads and stop cluttering up the Suggestions forum with a thinly veiled excuse to bash the Devs.

Cool video! Though I still think you should hire on Samuraiko! Look what she can do -without- your resources, Hmmmm...? Imagine what she could do as a contracted employee!

Why would they hire on someone for a position that doesn't exist, that they would need exactly 3 or 4 times a year? o.O
[/ QUOTE ]
'Cause they could hire her on a contractual basis. This much money for this much video.
Nothin' Huge, but it'd be nice to put some cash in her pocket (my opinion) and her videos are always stunning. Just imagine what she could do with Dev resources.

The way I understand the market is when the player accesses it, it pulls all of the information about what's available and sales history, everything, from a database. Would having more players having more slots clog up the loading?
(I honestly don't know. This isn't rhetorical.)
Would people renting more sale slots be able to store things in their regular slots while renting others?
[/ QUOTE ]
The first part I'm not sure about... As for the second part.. I think not.
Let's say I have 10 slots on the market filled with stuff for sale.
Then I rent another slot to sell something. I should pay the rent on that slot -up front-.
Should something of mine get sold, the item taking up the 11th slot should move down to the Regular Slot that just opened up. If I choose to add something else to the market on the same day as the 11th item (which I already rented a slot for) the 11th item should leap back to the 11th slot, so I don't have to pay for a second rented slot.
If the NEXT DAY I come back and the item is in a rented slot I have to pay the balance. If the item has been scooted over to a non-rented slot, I don't pay.
How's that?
-Rachel- -
I -REALLY- like this idea! It also can be used to drain influence out of the bloated pig that is the market!
Great idea, Terp!

Salvage price is fine. Its recipes that need work. And if one Lotg is on the market. Which right now theres more. But back when you would only see a couple at best. And there like 100mill. Then that is a monopoly on market.B/c they can set to what ever price they want
[/ QUOTE ]
Did you ever think that something that permanently increases your Recharge by 7.4% might be WORTH 100mil?
And guess what? Your wish has been answered! Dring I12, or 13, they introduced something called 'Merits'. You see, you PLAY THE GAME, and do special missions for merits, you save them up, and you can buy anything you want! Any recipe aside from the PVP recipes and Purples.
But that's just silly, huh?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm dead server means no SF's are TF's b/c imposs to build team. So no real way to get merits at decent pace. And there nerfing tickets. So it will be pointless to. But done with you guys for the day
