Current Budget: $0.00
Current Investors: None
Time Line: I'd need a budget and a team to figure that out! =-3
Hence why I'm asking for help from people on the forums. Someone might know someone with a bit of dosh lying around they'd be willing to sink into the game, after all. Or be willing to work pro-bono at the start until we can find a production company to pitch to and let them foot the bill.

A Bit of an update on the Steampunk MMO thing. 2 CoH Vet coders are signing onto the project as it stands. And both Niviene and Avatea have responded to my PMs with very helpful advice!
Squeeeeeeeeeee!
-Rachel- -
Considering that my current budget is $0.00 Cost Effectiveness is -extremely- important! Even if I find someone or some company willing to help out with Financial backing I'll definitely have an eye towards Cost Effectiveness...

Gatheryn?
http://www.mindfusegames.com/
It's a nice game, I imagine... But I'm looking and hopeing for something a bit more polished, graphically, with some pretty radical abilities.... Something along the lines of CoH's versatility and interest. Rather than Anarchy Online, if you catch my drift?
-Rachel- -
Honestly? Any assistance I can get is welcome assistance. Even if you wind up just debugging code and, eventually (HOPEFULLY!) playtesting the system, you'll -still- be helping. =-3
Also, if we wind up using a pre-made engine (quite likely I imagine) then your coding ability might be enough to modify that engine... No?
-Rachel- -
Actually, Niviene suggested I post this here and on the Screenshots and Fanart section as well.
PM incoming!

Neosteam by Atlus Online just hit Beta. However it's less Steampunk and more Steam-work Veneer over generic fantasy.
-Rachel- -
Well... This should be interesting.... I just sent out a general call in the Player Help and Fanart sections for people who want to help me create a Steampunk MMO. Take a look at the threads, if you like. It's gonna be a wild ride, I'm sure!
-Rachel- -
This is going to seem like a very Odd player question, I'm sure.
I'm highly interested in putting together a Steampunk based MMORPG. Over the past several months I've been working on various systems, settings, and design strategies to create the basic system.
However I have -no- coding experience whatsoever. I also have no artistic ability and no money to speak of either. But I do have one heck of a great idea that has been well received here on the forums (Search for my post history in the Comic Culture forum)
I'm looking for help of any kind from anyone I can get. Whether you have talent as an artist, knowledge of coding databases and engines, or a large amount of money you think this project warrants.
This could be a big breakthrough chance for us as a community to stand up and thrust into the world our own creation. Of making a game that you can show to others as something you had a hand in.
If you know anyone who would be interested in helping with this -please- tell them. We're also looking for someone with HTML experience and a willingness to help or completely handle the webpage design and maintenance.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Even if you have no ability or interest in helping!

Hey, everyone! I know I'm not a frequenter of this particular forum aside from occasionally posting in a 'Free Arts' thread a request for the Constable...
But I have a very interesting request that might be a bit of a shocker for some of you (due to my sheer audacity) But here it is.
I would like help on creating a Steampunk MMORPG.
I don't have money (pretty much at all!) to pay for various commissioned pieces. I don't have a lot of experience with different artistic styles, and I certainly have no talent with artistry or coding. Thusly I'm sending out a general call for aid in my endeavor.
I'd be looking for a variety of talent. From landscape artists, to animators, to engineers, Character Artists, coders, systems designers... Everyone you might possibly need to create an MMO. I've sent several PMs to Dev Team members and the Moderators in the hopes that they can help me connect to a financial backer and game design team. Now I'm asking all of you for your help and interest in this project.
Thanks for reading this, even if you don't intend to help or simply can't due to other concerns!

*Edit* OH! And someone who can handle HTML and webhosting issues. I'm -really- confused by it! >_< -
MHmmm... Fell asleep while trying to reset the aetheric disperser. *sighs a bit, finishing up her hair, then dons her goggles to keep it out of her face* How do I look, Rookery.? Everyone like the new Avatar? I plan to look like that in 1 year's time.
-Rachel- -
*comes in from the shower, wearing a big fluffy robe, hair wrapped up in a towel-turban*
Happy Birthday, Stryph. *smiles warmly* I hope the rest are always exponentially better. *opens the robe, giving Stryph a Birthday Flash (That only he can see!) then heads back to the Rookery. to get dressed*
-Rachel- -
*groans a little and climbs out of Iron Rook's open chest-plate, covered in grease and metal shavings* Good morning people. *winces a bit, popping her back, then smiles, shutting the Rook's chest and sliding down the ladder with her hands on either side*
I'll be in the shower if anyone needs me. *puts her tools away and drops her toolbelt on a workbench*
Oh... And Happy Birthday, Stryph. Many more much happier days to you. *sashays off to go get cleaned up after a long hard -messy- night*

I agree that it should be auto-hit.

Heroclix Realms. My boyfriend frequents the site. Some insider is talking about it. The Hamer of Thor set.
-Rachel- -
Actually, Magoo, Topps is bringing the game back with a new line.
They're then planning on selling the concept, intellectual property, lock stock and barrel to the highest bidder.

What do you do once you have a level 50 with all purple IO sets in every power?

You, of all people, should know the answer to that.
Do it again and again and again and again and...

*doves after the cube, firing a grapple-gun up the furnace shaft as she catches the cube, then uses her aetheric vertical ascender to pull herself, and the faithful companion cube, out of the furnace*
You seem to have mispelled my name, puppy. There's no second A. *dusts off her leathers and puts her ascender away, pulling up her goggles*
And I'm the Sexy Steampunk girl. *grins a bit* Don't you forget it! *pat pats the companion cube and sashays off, her riding boots clacking against the floor as she retrieves her oversized spanner*

The Fifth Column Oroborous 'TF'.
Last room. Fighting off ALL of those Ambushes while fighting Maestro, Requiem, -and- Vandal on their little platform. 1 SR scrapper, 2 Regens. We survived by the skin of our teeth through the Triple AV Aggro, then spent a good 4 minutes fighting back against all the ambush waves. Both Regens died at least three times before we all went down.
AWESOME fight. =-3

We did it with 1 brute and 1 /kin Corr.
it *was* a great fight!

Squeeeeeeeeee! Sounds awesome! Fulcrum Shift FTW? =-3
Damn... With the Brute Damage Cap and the MASSIVE spawns of enemies, there, you must've been throwing around HUGE damage numbers! O.O
-Rachel- -
I should really come back more often, huh? *looks around with a grin* The Iron Rook looks fantastic. Most of my friendlies are here.
Ahh well. *grins a bit and waves!*

You seem to have misspelled my name, puppy.

Except during BRIEF periods of being AFK >.>
I've done that on every archetype. Though for tanks I rock Taunt, blasters I usually pick my highest damaging non-snipe single target power, controllers I spam wither a heal or a single target hold. Defenders it's a heal, buff, or a single target high damage attack.

1) Don't micromanage. Just because a player isn't playing their AT to *your* expectations, doesn't mean you can kick 'em as a result.
[/ QUOTE ] Yes it does. If you have the star you can kick anybody for any reason at anytime.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's just a quick way to make sure you burn a bridge that you may be standing on. =-3
Always best to talk first. Though Munki is right. YOu do have every right to randomly kick without a word. It's not a very nice thing to do!

*Edit!* Zap Brannigan is a -vast- improvement over half-naked George Castanza. My eyes thank you.
