The point is this: There are only so many ways to point a gun at a target and pull a trigger. Of those there are only so many that make any sense. Of those there are only so many that make for a decent animation.

Slug, Burst, and Beanbag are the only three single target attacks. They could possibly go into 'cryo' rounds and incendiaries. But ultimately the animation is identical: Level rifle, fire bullet.

Personally? I'd suggest just slotting for recharge on the single targets, then go to town.

There aren't many good explanations for a third ST attack. You've got Single-Shot, Automatic, and long range fire. What's next? Snapshot (minor damage fast attack, fast recharge)? Or are you going to have a bullet overloaded on grain so that it gets fired -really- fast for extra damage?

Some powersets (like Fire, for example) Can have a series of attacks that are roughly the same thing with different outcomes.

Flares: Single Target Minor Damage attack.
Fire Blast: Single Target Moderate Damage attack.
Fire Ball: AoE Moderate Damage attack.
Blaze: Single Target High Damage Attack

All four of these attacks involve the player hurling fire from their hand(s). Blazing Bolt doesn't count because it's a lazer, rather than broken flame.

Meanwhile, with a Gun, your options are 'Shoot Bullets' 'Shoot More Bullets' and 'Shoot Moar!'

You can't do much in the way of different animations with that, really. Look at the Arachnos Soldiers. ST single shot ST Burst, Cone Heavy Burst.

You really can't -do- anything with it.

So yeah. Either slot for Recharge or slot Shotgun for end and use it like it's ST. Heck! With only 10 end per shot (reduced to 5 with 3 SO) it's about in-line with your weak ST attack, but it can hit an AoE (sometimes)

Yes. It could be exploitable. However if you're willing to powerlevel whilst gaining 1/8th XP at a time: Feel free. It'll take you weeks to get anywhere at it, meanwhile the Devs are still getting money on the accounts that are offline.

I'm going to put in my 2 pennies here, for real this time.

City of Heroes has a Strong Comic book feel. But there's also a certain amount of anime-tasticness and plenty of Fantasy derived material.

Having players able to change their model between costumes would allow for Player Character Shapeshifters, Dr. Jekyll and Hyde transformations, Gender-Bender characters, and more.

Not everyone would use this feature for those purposes, however. Some might use it for 'Legacy Characters'. Captain Marvel has been male, female, black, white. Lots of things. How many Earth based 'Green Lantern' characters are there?

How about the various Sailor Moon characters that change gender? The Sailor Stars, for example. They're the only 'legitamate' ones, anyway. All the others had their gender changed because Saiban didn't want to deal with homosexuality.

The point is this. There are plenty of reasons to allow characters to change gender, size, shape, and height. There aren't many reasons they -shouldn't-. If the code can be alered I'd be 100% for this change.

But yes. I would have a one-time in game fee per body-type change that could NOT be removed by use of Free Tailor session.

Whirlwind, for starters, is generally disliked because it's... well, rather useless. It was, for a short time, used to get around rooting of some animations. That wasn't supposed to happen, and was fixed. It's also rather weak for a tier4 in a pool. (Then again, many powers have that issue.)

Also, powers in the game are not objects, they are not waves of force. There is nothing to get "blown back." Even if they were, why would you spinning around with your arms out prevent me from lobbing something at your feet, bouncing it along the floor, or taking a headshot at you? Why would it do *anything?* Aside from what it does now, that is, which is "Make you look silly while getting shot."

Hurricane, as mentioned, already has a decent Tohit debuff, not to mention its repel. They're already not hitting you, and having a hard time getting to you. Adding something like this means they'd gut something else in return, jack up the end cost, *something.* (Plus... why would it affect energy or electricity *at all,* honestly? Neither get 'blown around.')

Last but not least, Hand Clap is in superstrength, yes. Most mez protection powers aren't in the attack sets, but in the defense sets. For instance, my Fire/SS tank has it in Plasma Shield. The characters that *have* handclap already have that protection - well, should, I've seen a few tanks and brutes in the 30s with no clue whatsoever about their powers or the ones they've skipped. This ignores, of course, that instead of waiting for a power, you can already use or *make* a Breakfree from three other inspirations.

Just can't get behind these, myself.

Actually, my Earth/Thorn Dominator makes GOOD use of Whirlwind!

Between Quicsand, Earthquake, Volcanic Gasses, and Thorntrops I've got 4 GTAoE powers that enemies -can- walk out of, or be out of to begin with. I just run over to the side away from the AoE patches with Superspeed on, pop Whirlwind, and KB them into the AoE of -Def -ToHit Pulsing Foe Hold minor Damage DoT goodness.

Then I use Stone Cages on them. =-3

Spent all morning crying, shivering, taking hot baths, trying to work on my game, and then crying more.

My tooth has gotten so bad that we're gona borrow money from my boyfriend's family to have a dentist break it and tear it out.

Hopefully I'll be cognizant by the weekend, and the drugs don't make me act stupid.

Or was his statement so very -broad- that he merely puts posters at and above my quality into one category and those of lesser 'quality' (as ephemeral and personal a qualifier as can be had) into another. Which leads to me and Arcanaville being within the same Strata solely on the basis of having more positive qualities (the gulf between us set aside) than Razoras and others?

Well... Based on how you do those (General background themes) we'll get you into work on the sweeping, awesome music which then deteriorates into ambiance music so that it doesn't override the action on the screen.

We also have a really big need for a strong theme and a strong core sound for the game. Something we can upload on the website when it launches. Something we can put right at the beginning of the game that fits the genre and strikes out into the player's memory. So that every time they hear that tune they think of the game.

Ever heard of The Clockwork Quartet?

I only recently heard their music. And I think it'd make a wonderful 'dark' theme for the bad side of town.
