The pieces are currently live. But the pack isn't being sold yet. I have no understanding of -why-....
I know they're live because I made 'The Doctor's Wife' on the Test Server and saved the costume. When I tried to load it up the costume had the Rebreather 5 costume piece on it but I was given the warning that I don't have access to that piece, yet. So it allowed me to attempt a costume fix.

*lounges on her couch as dark skinned men in white silk skirts carry it in, preening and smiling distantly, yellow-slitted eyes opening wide to take in the sight of the tussle of adorable legends!*
Wonderful. I shall bless that being with my power... at least -one- of her heads is feline...
*lounges in cat-style as the men feed her, brush her hair, and tend to her foot rubs!*

That's silly! Don't you know that all women cross their legs and put their hands on their knees when they sit down anywhere?
Pish posh!

Inspirations that buff defense give you a buffer against defense debuff.
If I've got a Defense of 0 and pop a 33% Defense bonus I'll resist up to 33% defense debuff. I'll no long be buffed by that inspiration, but I won't go into the negatives on defenses.
I'd like to see a speed enhancement. Never dropped by enemies, you must purchase it.
Tier 1: Run Away!
Tier 2: This is Bat Country!
Tier 3: Ia! Ia! C'thulu Ftagn!

This is a -fantastic- idea. It makes the Surgeon more noticeable by -far-. The last day Test server was up I popped on to check out the super surgeon and after swapping from Female plain clothes to massive and bulky Huge Crab Spider powered armor I got 4 tells asking where the flaming Surgeon was! >_<

It's actually a key time to create characters on other servers.
Why? 'Cause you can get from 1-30 without trying -too- hard over the weekend, assuming you don't have work.

REALLY enjoyed the ITF this Monday night... The second time I've beaten it! And we did it in a 100% different way.
The last time we steamrolled over Rommy and his pets with a team made up entirely of VEATs. =-3
This time my Archer and the team's AR Blaster stood at range and KOed Rommy's Nictus pets before they could aggro on us or hit us with their AoE heal.
It was awesome!
-Rachel- -
What about the strike animation? The little flash of 'Hit!' or the trails behind your legs? That can be colored, right?
-Rachel- -
I would've come in dressed like one of the gents from Strange Brew... But I've got boobs, eh? =-3

My 50 Thugs/Dark started out as a Magic hero. For all intents and purposes her "Darkness" was spells. It wasn't until she met a -true- spellcaster somewhere in the mid-30's that anyone realized she wasn't using spells.
She was a powerful telepath and telekinetic. The Dark Miasma powers were simply her visualization. She'd been around magic for a lot of her life and tried her hand at speaking gibberish and waving her hands, so when her force of will reached out and accomplished the task she was trying to cast a spell to do: She just assumed.
So she went from Magic to Natural or Mutant. It was pretty cool. =-3

Huh... Interesting question....
If you haven't been keyed to the Midnighter Club can you mish-port cross-zone into Cimerora, skipping the key-quest?

You've taken a small, simple problem and exploded it into hundreds, even thousands of lost subscriptions for no other reason than you not wanting to branch off to another server.
[/ QUOTE ]
Doesn't hold water. Do you refuse to fly because some of the seats are first class? Do you skip every ball game because someone else gets a box seat? Nope. People still fly and go to ball games every day. And yes, the plane seating for everyone else is smaller. The stadium is smaller for the average person because premium seats exist.
As far as the "play another server" argument goes, that's dead. If I want to fly a particular airline because I like the perks or the people or the service or whatever, and I have the resources to do it, I do it.
As far as priority goes, sell a limited number of access slots for each event to the highest bidder. just like box seats. If you have the resources and desire to get a priority, you get it. Simple.
[/ QUOTE ]
An Airplane has 200 seats. Once per day it flies from Houston to New York.
The Airline has the option of trading 30 regular price seats out for 30 inflated price first class seats.
Now. 200 people -want- to go to New York today. 20 of them are willing to pay for the first class. That leaves 10 people without seats, unless you give them the First Class seats.
After you've given them the first class seats another 5 people who are willing to pay for first class want to ride on the plane to get to New York.
205 people, 200 seats. You've just shuffled the problem around. But -now- you've got 5 people who are gonna be -pissed-. Either 5 First Class people who don't get to fly because you've given their seats away, or 5 coach passengers whom you're going to kick off the plane.
If everyone was equal (Coach) you could just say "Sorry. The flight is full, you'll have to fly later." But -now- you have people who paid more money and don't get to fly -or- you're kicking the coach riders off the plane.
You don't seem to understand the issue here. And I don't think I can clear it up any further.

It wouldn't change the fact that if freedom is capped, you don't get on it.
Why? Because how is a program going to *choose from the people who are already there playing*, which of them to remove?
What if it's someone on a task force just about to finish their last mission?
What if it's someone attending a meeting of their supergroup and getting important information?
What if it's someone who just won 1 million inf in a costume contest and was going to get their prize?
In other words: paying more might get you the nice seat in front and sippy water in a nice glass, but it still makes you look like a complete jerk to the rest of the passengers on the plane.
[/ QUOTE ]
I get the idea of not bumping people off; I agree that's kind of extreme. But setting aside priority slots for a higher price is right in the supply and demand curve.
More demand for a desirable resource leads to higher prices. Pure capitalism.
[/ QUOTE ]
Okay... Let's say each server now has 30 'Priority seating' slots. Only people who pay more can get those slots.
50 people try to log onto "their" priority slot. 20 people don't get to. They've paid a high premium for a service they can't get.
Now what, Genius?
And before you say "make more priority slots!" take into account that the numbers are -fluid-. On a server with hundreds or even thousands of players who can't access 200 slots at ANY time unless they have 'priority access' means that the total amount of non-priority players who can log on at a time is decreased. To them the server size has shrunk.
So you alienate the Non-Premium Players. Who either quit, leave the server, or become Premium Players. Which makes those 200, 300, 500, whatever number of "Premium Slots" even -less- capable of handling the increased load of Premium Players. People get pissed they paid more money than they had to for a service they're not getting. They'll almost definitely quit.
You've taken a small, simple problem and exploded it into hundreds, even thousands of lost subscriptions for no other reason than you not wanting to branch off to another server.

I think 3 Unbound Nicti, 2 Novas, and 1 Dwarf would make an awesome set of pets.
Have the Nova start off with the one single-target attack, then give them the high damage single target and the cone on the first upgrade, then give them the AoE and maybe another attack on their third upgrade.
Same thing for the Dwarves. But put their Self Heal in the second tier and have it auto-fire at 1/2 health.

Unless it's meant to -look- broken, after the Rikti War

Priority access, what a stupid concept. But lets have fun with it anyway...
Say it does amazingly well and enough priority players boot off those unworthy pathetic players who both can't afford to pay more and are too stupid to just try another server.
You still grey out the server when it his x players no matter what they're paying.
Are you going to come back begging for another even more uber tier of pricing - super premium to make sure you get in even when its cram full of lowly premium people?
[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely. If you get full, that's proof you didn't charge enough. Charge more the next time. Not everyone gets to sit in the front row of the sold out concert. Those with more resources do. It's business.
Business is about charging what the market will bear, not about fairness.
And this thread just proves how many of you hate Freedom server. Many of you admit it openly. If you were in favor of what is good for the game and its owners, you would want them to make as much money as possible.
[/ QUOTE ]
I read this. And I can't help but point to the state that our economy is in. People did 'What the Market Could Bear' and broke the market. There is a point where fairness cmoes into play, otherwise you're just killing yourself.
I know for a fact that if players could get bumped off of their character at any time by 'premium' players hundreds, if not thousands, would quit immediately. And that's money that NCSoft doesn't -want- to lose. While your 'Premium Bump' might help to cover -some- of the loss it won't cover all of it.
If you honestly believe that it's a good idea, then I'll have to assume you're Vince McMahon or John Bradshaw Layfield. A Charicature designed to be everything everyone hates about people with lots of money.

Already got a good stock of new characters on Guardian (made 2 since i15 went live, and 2 more just days before that)!
Of course, I might have to play on Freedom anyways just to spite the people that complain about it being impossible to get on

Anecdotal Evidence doesn't apply to a conversation unless it's from the perspective of the person giving it.
I.E. Their Anecdotal Evidence trumps yours 'cause they can't get in. Meanwhile yours trumps -theirs- 'cause you got in.

I noticed it too, also thought it was another person pissing them off for a second (people do that, no clue why) but then I saw a group spawning and immediately grab their shields. Bugged it too as it doesn't make much sense to me and it looks kinda stupid.
[/ QUOTE ]
It doesn't make sense for you to have soldiers and guards in a contested area prepared to repel attacks....?
Okay!
-Rachel-
[/ QUOTE ]There's a couple of things why it doesn't make sense:
1. There's no imminent threat.
2. If there was, grabbing their shield and sword takes a second.
3. The fighting position is impossible to be standing still in a whole day long.
If there's no need, why do anything else than just standing in the most comfortable position and keep an eye out for something that might be a threat? Then, when there is, you will be fit enough to able to fight.
[/ QUOTE ]
1. We're talking about Armed Guards prepping for imminent attack. Head to an American military base in a warzone and see if the guards are chillaxing while playing cards. They've got their rifle in their hands for a reason.
2. Raising a shield and sword (or spear and sword, or rifle) from the 'at rest' position to the 'readied' position takes far less time than picking one up. Which is why GUARDS should have their weapon and/or shield already drawn.
3. Very true. But how long does a guard shift last before rotation?
There is a need. And standing or sitting in a comfy position while on guard duty is a surefire way to get yourself killed and your base/temple/castle/fort invaded.

This Suggestion is relevant to my interests.

We just finished it, 4 hours and 4 minutes after it started. An Emp/Psi Defender, Dark/Dark Stalker, Night Widow, and AR/Nrg Blaster helped us. Along with Dr. Mechaniker (who dropped partway through.
