Welcome to the Claws/SR club. I hope you like the taste of frustration.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Renounce SR, and join the Claws/Invul club! There's me...and erm, me. It's a very small club--heaven knows why .

    02) --> Mind Probe==> EndRdx(2) Acc(3) Dmg(3) Dmg(5) Dmg(5)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmm. I picked up Mind Probe and immediately didn't like it, mainly because it's a close range power and I like to stay as far back as possible. I suppose with a couple of range's slotted, as well as 2 Acc and 2 Dam it could be quite useful though.

I've held off picking up many of the Psi powers for now, as I want to focus on control rather than damage--but Drain Psyche looks nice.

Question for the other Mind/Psi's - is TK really worth getting? The end drain and aggro don't look all that appealing; does the hold make up for it?
  3. Will Stasis turn up? She'll be there with bells on!

I'm taking revenge on Bridger, via his alter-ego, for calling me a bloke all those times
  4. Stasis is actually 22, but as she was put into stasis when she was 17 she acts as a 17 year old would. A fairly mature one though

Edit: and Vainglory is around 36.
  5. Del, you're a lucky man - she's gorgeous! (and this coming from a woman who isn't too keen on people under 10 years old ). Really, very very beautiful little girl you've got.
  6. Many congratulations to both you and mum
  7. I think I'd like to come along to this...but I'm worried my toggles are going to cause problems. Putting my name down anyway

Stasis - claws/invul/body Scrapper. No holds.
  8. Congratulations! Only teamed with you a handful of times, but I can honestly say it was well deserved
  9. Thanks everyone It's been a real push, but after six (long, tiring, will-breaking) months, I finally reached 50! And I had some of my favourite people there to join me.

Now, I just have to get my next character to 50 an' all...oh heck.

Will compile a list of everyone I'd like to thank at some point during the night, but right now - sleep please!
  10. Last night's villain hunt actually managed to restore my faith in PvP; even with the *cough* 216k debt I received

I was in fits of laughter at one point, after bragging to the team that three Brute's had turned and scarpered from me - only for an Ice Corruptor to shoot me twice in the back and take me down. Those villains are crafty critters, but we know your tactics now! Muaha!

    Ridiculous

There were around 4/5 of us in the team, though the amount of people is irrelevant. We earnt 3 prestige per mob not per team member.

    Ridiculous

    [ QUOTE ]
Out of curiousity, roughly, what's the total prestige earned by your SG in the past 3 weeks, and specifically, how much have you earned?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Last I checked, we were earning approximately 3 prestige per minion, slightly more for bosses. The past three weeks have been busy for all of us IRL, so there's been little missioning for fun, let alone 'prestige farming'.

However, due to the level ranges, myself and our level 50 can't set our reputation to Invincible or risk losing half the team. This means less mobs, and less prestige; not to mention, all being over level (35 was it?) none of us are earning any influence...which we still need.

Our base is pretty, but pointless at the moment. We don't even have enough prestige to afford another room; and our salvage is just sitting there gathering dust.
  13. He's got me running his errands now...

Weasel's away until Tuesday (he's busy being John Wayne), but will get stuck in again the moment he gets back.

    Grav/?

There was a good Jean Grey?
  15. Managed to hit level 14 with my 'main' last night. Picked up Fly and then remembered about the end drain. Need an endred DO from the contact in Cape, have to fly there to get it, need the DO before I can fly there to get it. I blame Joseph Heller.

I've got another couple of alts who I play regularly, both have hit level 6/7.

It's also used in a highly ironic sense as well, depending on whom you team with - as in, "BRAWL FTW!"

    [/ QUOTE ]

A running joke in our SG involves a certain scrappy 'troller who has recently hit 50 brawling Hamidon to death, solo. We also occasionally hold Fake Nems and then attack them using brawl and brawl only...so yes, brawl is indeed FTW

    RPing a mute

    Not at all.

I've seen Chamber, of X-men fame, RP'd on many forums. Of course, he has the advantage of communicating telepathically, but I don't see why a mute character without telepathy couldn't be RP'd.

If you make ample use of the ; command to indicate actions or even the limited emotes, you should be able to pull it off. You can let your RP'ing partner/group know as much or as little detail as you wish using just these two commands. No need for vocabulary at all.

With so many facial expressions and body language, there isn't much need for idle chatter
  18. Congratulations to the first Debt Buster to hit level 50

We celebrated by customising our base, which involved a lot of laughs as we placed fire extinguishers too high up to reach, lamps in the middles of rooms and for some reason--a bridge that goes no where.

It's been a pleasure teaming with you 6, now go roll your Kheldian and we can do it all over again!

6 hits 50...and disappears from sight.
  19. It's probably about time I got 'round to my own thread, so here we are.

Vainglory, my main, has been planned for quite some time; her original choice of name was Vanity, but that was taken still, Vainglory works perfectly. She's, as you may have guessed, extremely vain--to the point of insanity; but her looks are magical, without the hundreds of thousands of glamour spells she uses, she's repulsive.

Then we have Sadness, a group of 'cultists' managed to place joy and happiness into an human form, but found they also had to create an opposite in order to keep the balance. Sadness is this, the human embodiment of...sadness.

And finally, Ms. Ann Thrope: a human woman who so hated mankind, that she paid a scientist friend to transform her into a human killing machine.

That's all I have for now
  20. Claws are ridiculously underpowered, but the fun factor more than makes up for that

However, looking at your current build - I'd drop Slash (the animation is deadly for you in a large battle, and the defence debuff is minimal to the point of non-existance) and Follow Up. This isn't an order, of course you want to play your build the way you want to, I'm just lending a friendly hand.

As the Invul defence cap has been sliced in half yet again, I'd recommend taking all the powers. You can leave off Resist Energies for a while, as there aren't that many foes with neg and pos energy attacks.

    Good luck

dominators are so cool i think they are really powerfull i avent got one but i av seen them i think.

are dominators like blasters if so then i av seen them and they are so cool

    [/ QUOTE ]

A Dominator is more closely related to a Controller; it's Corrupters that are the Blaster types.
  22. Now that a good deal of us have been roaming the Rogue Isles for two days, and the rest will be joining us tomorrow or later in the week, I thought I'd better ask:

How did you decide on your villain's name?
Does your villain have a backstory yet? Or will that be coming later?
How long have you had your character planned?

    And the inevitable:
Was your ideal name available? Or have you had to mangle the spelling?
