Most of us are from Britain
this is the European version after all.
Pet peeve: You're not a "Brit". "Brit" is an Americanisation.

Smooth, if you were an outsider to a situation where the bully could change, would you still tell the victim to suck it up?
Tough hides are great (not the Invuln power), and I agree that everyone should try to be confindent enough in themselves that nothing anyone else says will bother them; but only a small minority of people can do this. Confindence is hard to get these days, due to the media/general opinion etc. Heck, even people who conform to every "perfect" stereotype out there get slack for it. Just look at Halle Berry, she's beautiful, rich, she does have some talent, intelligent, and she's even part of a "minority" being mixed race; however, I can name ten or so people (myself included) who can't stand the woman because of her attitude.
Some bullies can and do change. I'm not confindent at all, and my school days proved to be incredibly painful for me...and I let this show. Couple of years ago, I met one of my bullies...and she said sorry. No provocation from me, just a sincere apology. I couldn't forgive her for what she did to me, but I have a lot of respect for her now, as she realised she'd hurt me, and did what she could to make it up to me.
If I'd sucked it up and ignored all the insults, I might never have received the apology and her words/actions may have haunted me for the rest of my life. There have been multiple horror stories in the newspapers of kids and adults who've bottled up their feelings for so long, that they finally crack and do something terrible.
Saying that though, I don't believe violence is in everyone's nature. You might want to smack someone, but stopping yourself from going through with it shows you're not a violent person. I've punched walls, pillows, doors (broke my middle finger once)...but never a person. Does that mean I have violent tendencies towards inanimate objects?
Hurting someone inadvertantly doesn't make you a bully.
Going out of your way to upset someone, does. -
Friendly word of advice: Cross-posting incurs the mighty wrath of Bridger

The world would be a much better place if it wasn't always the victims who had to change their ways.
"They insulted me."
"Grow a spine!"
Sadly, it isn't. Though, it is easier and faster to just ignore them all...it's not right, but it saves a lot of time and hassle.
I don't advise you to suck it up and get on with your life. I do advise you to understand that you're better than them. This is all based on the assumed fact that your "tormentors" weren't in the habit of upsetting others/ruining the gaming experience. If they were, a whole other course of action should be taken, but by the mods/GMs, not you.
True, most PvPers like to spice things up with a bit of harmless smacktalk - that's what makes PvP so enjoyable! And these people don't mean to hurt you, or anyone else...but they also don't know if you're going to take offence or not. All of this can be solved with either a removal of the tab, /ignore or a polite tell.
To quote a slightly maladjusted friend, "Your blood tastes good as I lick it off my spines," could be incredibly insulting to someone, but it's not meant that way. Just a bit of fun. Personal opinion: You can usually tell if someone's smacktalking or harrassing by how bizarre their speeches are.
Sorry if I sound motherly...but you're allowed to be upset and rant on here. -
I was put off IE for life when I ran Adaware a few days ago. Fourty-seven malicious IE tracking cookies, and I only ever use the browser once a month or so.

That really depends on how organised you are, and how much time you want to dedicate to roleplaying/gameplaying
.
The majority of the roleplayers have a selection of alts (alternative characters)...Z being the most noteable, with her army of alts; though there are one or two with only the one character. It's entirely up to you. -

Maybe if I'm compelled to write another one, I'll include pictures.
Anyway! The long awaited (since yesterday, in other words) Episode Ten is NOW UP! Enjoy.

That's the best one yet.

I'm in it, you had doubts? -
Gawd that's amazing.
And lookit! Blink!
I have friends with accounts, but none of my own - will pass on orders to vote for you. -
But...Weasel, you mix DMHO with 1,3,7-trimethylxanthine every morning!

Stop procrastinating, we have to leave in six hours, damnit!

Highrise? Oh no, not more lifts

Because I have an opinion on everything

If your character is supposed to be rude, obnoxious and uncaring - and people don't like the character, congratulations! You've suceeded.
However, if your character is supposed to be sweetness and light, but you're letting OOC actions filter through into your portrayal of said character - you may need to take a little break and start again in a month or so.
If all of your characters are disliked, without reason - then it's the "fault" of the other players for taking OOC actions into their IC portrayal.
It's one of the toughest things to overcome when roleplaying. If you don't like a person, or their character, you can't treat them as such unless your character also doesn't like the character. And vice versa.
I can't really comment on godmodding, as I have no interest in playing godlike characters - but from what I've seen/heard of it, it seems like a very black and white issue. No grey areas, and so no excuses. -
Stasis has the mentality of a teenager, though she's actually twenty-two, as she was in stasis for five years, she's physically seventeen.
Lavender's sixteen. -

I met Stasis and Silver Weasel, but they didn't meet me. Such is the awesomeness of my Lurking skills, I can lurk in real life unnoticed!

Oooh, you lie! I saw you at the top deck NCSoft stand and smiled, but I was too shy to say hi. This time, I suggest we get a couple of the others to force us into one another so we can actually exchange words.
-
Though I've met half of you already, and you'll probably be able to recognise me - for anyone who hasn't and wants to know which one of the scary, scary people I am - I look like this.
I don't have any nifty clothing, but I'll most probably be in something beige, brown or green.

I, Stasis_, hereby proclaim that I do not suffer from fragile bones/weak ribcages/weak spinal columns, and in the event of hug-related compression injuries will not sue.

Please people, if I've missed you out, or you're unconfirmed, we need to know asap or we're going to end up in a chippy... I'm happy to phone the Beefeater and book once we have confirmed numbers...

Yikes, I didn't even realise Weasel had put us down for this. The offer's lovely, but I'm afraid I, at least, won't be able to join you.
The (incredibly embarrassing) reason being, I can't eat in front of people. So, thank you for the offer, but not able to join you all. -

Actually, the accuracy of Claws attacks is 75%, the same as most powers in the game but lower than other Scrapper primaries as they have a bonus to accuracy for their weapon draw time.
[/ QUOTE ]
By that logic, shouldn't Martial Arts have the lowest accuracy? -
I'm as bemused as Alan_P...no accuracies in anything? Focussed Accuracy won't help much, especially as you won't pick it up until level 41. I know the acc of Claws is pretty high, but it's not recommended to go through 40-odd levels without any accuracy SOs slotted; also as Alan_P says, the ToHit buff on Invince is pretty unnoticeable. Not to mention, Focussed Accuracy drains endurance no end...even with three endreds in it, you'll find yourself dropping toggles left, right and centre if you keep it running constantly.
Even pre-ED, my Dull Pain was slotted with only one heal - I'm not entirely sure you need three, as it's pretty powerful on its own...then again, those slots have got to go somewhere.
Focus really doesn't need Range enhancers, you're a melee-er and for Invince to work, you need to keep your foes near you. I'd suggest leaving range attacks to the Blasters.
Personal preferences: I can't stand Follow Up or Spin. The AoE on the latter is unreliable at best, and without any accs, well, it's a waste of a four second animation in my opinion. Follow Up I've just never liked.
I'd like to know your reasoning behind taking Tough and Kick?
If I were taking this build, I'd take Hurdle earlier, then Combat Jumping - slot them well, and leave off taking SJ for quite some levels. You won't need it that early if you've got both CJ and Hurdle (they're passable as travel powers), but you will want Unyeilding. It's a powerful mez protection power, but remember - it's the only one you've got (until you pick up Unstoppable).
The rest of it looks pretty good to me...I'm hoping this is a PvE only build though.
