I want to know who has Abi Small
[/ QUOTE ]
Me.
Sorry, she's an Ice/Ice Dominator - and well, you ain't getting the name. -
[ QUOTE ]
(who, as I witnessed while teaming with for the first time, is a very nice person ^^).
[/ QUOTE ]
Duh? -
You didn't exactly fail, instead you were unclear on the rules. You'll get there in the end. Took my cousin eight tries before he managed it - and he's been sporty since he could walk

I quit smoking for that [censored], and I still don't pass? Nuts to that.

*cough* *hack* *choke* *splutter* Blackmail is fun!
Glad to hear you're getting your computer issues sorted, mostly because bad things come in threes - and now that you and Weasel have your computers back up and running (or at least, in the progress of becoming up and running), maybe my damn ISP will stop faffing around and not cut my internet off for two sodding days.
Ahem. -

Great new feature? ... Yes!
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not so sure about that.
If I understand correctly, the OP is wanting pre-selected varying costumes for the different ranks in the SG. This is very nice, but - I can spot one major flaw in it:
One of the best features in CoH/V is the costume creator. A chance to create pretty much any outfit your imagination can produce. Most of the costumes are unique, with only a very few similar ones, and even less identical costumes.
The idea of having pre-selected costumes for other people seems a bit too much like WoW for my liking. Yes, you can choose your other costumes - but if you want to be in this SG, you have to look like everyone else of your rank in the SG. Ok for small groups of friends who like the concept idea, and don't mind looking like one another. Not so good for the vast majority.
In my humble opinion, that is. -
First Weasel's computer goes boom, now yours. Hope you'll be back with us soon, I know you'll still be around but it's going to be strangely empty without you ingame. You'll be missed (but we promise not to let Infy hit level 50 again before you do get back)!
*plays that trumpet-y tune they play at military ceremonies* -
Mmm tea. Tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea, wonderful tea!
Best drink in the world. Of course, I'm ever so slightly biased towards it, as it doesn't cause me death. Never a bad thing to be able to drink something hot in the mornings without suffering death as a consequence. -

see i get told that, but i really do giggle in real life, as people at brighton can atest to!

True!
Terry Thomas giggling, it's like you live in the Twilight Zone. -
My point was, and I think it got lost, that the end cost of Claws is minimal, and the end cost of Invuln is tiny. It's entirely possible to run a Claws/Invuln build without Stamina - but after playing for close on two years on this type of character, seeing her through all the very many nerfs and buffs, I've noticed that the toggles do take more of your endurance than the attacks.
Running my usual attack chain without any of my toggles on, and I'll lose possibly one eigth of my endurance.
Running the same chain with my toggles on, and I'll lose closer to half of my endurance. -
Looks good to me
.
I do agree with MaX though, Aid Self, while not mandatory, will increase your survivability tenfold. Dull Pain is nice, but it's your only heal - and it has a rather long recharge rate.
A few taunt enhancers in Invincibility can do wonders for the build too - but I'd recommend getting to at least 32 before considering it. Invuln is a great set for mini-Tanking, but you (imo) need to know the set inside out first. Of course, some people are fast learners.
Tough Hide is nice, but again with MaX, I wouldn't put it in the mandatory list. Decent power, but as with a lot of sets: toggles first, passives after. You may find you don't need it at all - I haven't done.
All Claws powers good (though not a fan of Follow Up), the endreds are useful, but your toggles will drain more of your endurance than your attacks will.
All in all, it looks very much like my build which I can vouch for. I really do hope you enjoy the character, as there aren't nearly enough Claws/Invulns around - which is madness, as the sets combined can produce a fabulous character, with an easy playstyle, beautiful defence, high DPS (not uber high, but get a chain going and you're laughing), incredibly fast recharge rates, low end cost and glowiness!
Come, join the ranks of level 50 Claws/Invulns! -
My main is female, and at first, she was hit on by both men and women alike.
a). Because there are still some people who assume female characters are played by women.
b). Because my way of talking is rather masculine, both in and out of character - so some girls/guys thought I was a male playing a female character.
There was also one memorable occasion when I pretended to be a bloke, and when I came clean about my real gender, wasn't believed .
In the whole game, there has only been one person who I wanted to know that I was a woman playing a woman - other than that, I don't mind one way or the other if people think I'm male/female. No matter your real gender, you are likely to be hit on whether you play a man or a woman, so it's probably best to just let it wash over you.
And it's always fun to try and work out if the player is male or female when you run across one of the typical huge chested, tiny waisted female characters. -
Yes, I looked at them, and they're very good - which is why I don't think this thread is a good idea at all.
-
Very, very nice. Hints of mystery - I want to know who the man was, what the sword means, all sorts! A brilliant example of a decent background for an RPer
.
-
It's going to be quiet here without your psuedo-intellectual comments on most threads
. Take care!
-
Talented writer =/= talented RPer.
RPing focuses more on your acting skills, and ability to communicate, which writers (generally) aren't too good at. The reason being, writers know what happens to every character, they know how each plotline plays out and how to swing things in their favour. RPers know only how their character would react to something, and nothing more.
It is possible to be both, but I'd generally say RPing is the easier of the two, as you're not alone - you don't have to describe every little thing, and use big words no one without a thesaurus could understand.

I have an Ice/Nrg Blaster who is soon to be respecced into a Blaptroller build. This combo is or at least was FoTM, and it's a wonderful combination to PvP with.
I enjoy PvP and will happily join friends in Warburg, Siren's and RV to bust some heads; but I'd be highly offended should anyone refer to me as a n00b or an egotistical PvPer. I'm in it for the fun of it (besides, my Scrapper can take down more foes, and has a higher PvP rep), not to show off how awesome and uber I am, and gloat over dead bodies. -
Only just noticed this thread, and awwww, meerkats. Cuddly little meerkats.

maybe it got to big and had to be removed for safety reasons?
that's the only reason i'd be ok with it being removed otherwise i'm kinda annoyed

It was incredibly off topic, even for the Comic Culture section. I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did. -

Yeah, it happened numerous times that Weasel and Guardian would both give the correct answer - often with the exact same wording - and Guardian just cam ein a microsecond before Weasel... some of the other contestants suggested that they might actually be the same person, playing two accounts at the same time...

I have been dragged! Will bring Snaedis, and I'm sure I can drag Mr Weasel along with me too.

Congratulations you two! Now will you start bickering over your next two characters, or are we free of the "I've got to get ahead!"?
And 'urry up with your 50 Cap! Can't have a woman beating a Pirate!
