Even the most deviate of chilren will stop having fun by setting small indefence insects on fire just to see them burn. I dont think that is something that would lead to much fun so i think your qoute is rather out of place, not to mention on the wrong thread. -
Lets be realistic: these are comic book villains and heroes.
When has a true villain been able to hold his urges to call the good guys on their big screen (i hope we get big com screens for contacts and this stuff) and brag on how they will trash them good?
And what hero does not takes the time to call upon villain to give them a final warning before using force and take back the stolen goods?
You see, agreeng to raid is ACTUALY comic book realistic!!! -

If you do that make sure to make the note of not giving the bonus for the other teem mates presence either.
The "bottom line" you bring leads to people forming 8 iddle member teams and only having one of them go to gain his amazing xp plus bonuses.
Now, something else, Statesman, do you realize that simply lifting the restriction from instanced missions, just leaves the whole issue open? People will still bring alts inside a mission (outdoor or not) and park them on a safe spot while the rest give him free xp. This was what you set off to fix on the first place. -
I remember 4 isntances of Atlas in Triumph server.
These days the players have now leveled up and you rarely see an instance of any one zone. -
I can see a negative about the addition of a filter to remove Generic and SO drops:
In this game enhancements are like heavy coin, you can sell SOs for a nice ammount in the apropiate origin specific merchant.
If suddenly all that droped was SOs, it would be way easeir to get influence (thing that is already easy) and this may affect how the economy works once you need to spend influnece towards things like HQs or veicles. -

Yesternight i did exemplar a friend, i got only 20 - 40 influence per kill. My character was lvl 26 and the enemies where white while exemplar. I am not sure but i am feeling the influense is being calculated on my exemplar (combat) level and not my xp level. -
I personaly wont even think about the posibility of it being out sooner than next June.

This argument is too weak. They do should think about the casual gamer while nerfing but that does not means they can ignore the exploits.
As for stimulant, ever ocured it was in part designed to be used on no more than 2 players? Only tankers should be really getting hit by it and then again only the ones that lack protection for poor power selection -

Statesman has mentioned before afirmatively to the posibility of underwater areas AND giving more content to the huge bodies of water in talos and indi port.... he also expressed how much he wants to add more ninja and pirate stuff to the uniform designer....

Last time i heard, blasters where damage dealers, not buffers. They should not be as good buffing as a defender, ever. Should not even be an alternative. If you ask me i'd increase the delay so it could not be spammed on everyone.

I'm a fire tanker and i have my own defenses against those status, i need no external buffs. I tought all tankers got stun defense somewhere... -

While I appreciate what a good tank can do, this is simply never going to be the case. Provoke has a finite area of effect, it you provoke the mobs that are in the back shooting the ones near you will aggro if damage. If you provoke the ones near you the ones shooting will certainly aggro if damage and may simply change targets at random.
Mob behavior makes it impossible for you to provoke everything, and whatever is not provoked can and will aggro on your team mates.

Yes, provoke has a finite area of effect, but only few roaming enemies really get away from my full agro covering (provoke is not the only tool, combustion and fire sword circle are also area of effect attacks that do provoke), but if i see some one suddenly fal to yellow or lower i target him, auto follow so i can see where he is and see what is hitting him and somehow get agro of that one or ones back.
It is not automatic, but nothing on this game is. It is about knowing to do your job. Also, the blaster should not really go blasting ANYTHING, he should focus on the area the tanker and controlers have already keept in check. The scrapper are the ones that should move arround freely. -
I wonder if you grouped with a tanker that had no provoke, only taunt, and then maybe not even that.

I keep seing how people bring up the subject of agro as the reason why area effects must insta kill or not exist at all.
I am a fire tanker, and in my groups NO ONE gets agro unless I die.
For now, i depend greately on provoke to achieve this, but remember that every tanker hit has taunt asociated with it. This is not EverQuest or Final Fantasy XI where only healing or damage angers an enemy, here provoke and taunt do, and all tanker attacks have taunt now and will be provokes soon.
As a fire tanker i do have an edge over other tankers as i have quiet a few area attacks to draw agro between provoke refreshes, soon that will change, i hope.
You will NEVER get the agro in a group with a tanker, and while solo you should NEVER get involved with enough enemies to be that dangerous.
Talk about agro is nonsence. Not even the most trigger happy of scrappers (maybe one with invinsibility, and then for only a few secs) can take agro from me. -

No matter what, they will deal more damage than scrappers, faster. Meaning they are the definitive damage dealers in groups. Problem now is that 2 blasters can kill hordes of enemies in one shoot, and that is ether too much damage or too weak enemies. -

As for the kill stealing... several groups can get "badge credit" off one monster... just like several heroes can get defeat credit off one villain.

We are talking about villains that pop every 5 seconds vs one that pops once in a blue moon. No one will get credit besides the lvl 50 blaster that nuked it to neverwhere the minute he tabed into it.
I propose you make all monsters a random rare spawn across outdoor missions. If i go into a Pantheon outdoor mission, give me a chance that Adamastor (or however you type that) will pop in there. Would give outdoor missions an extra spark, since i find them sort of dull right now. -

You know, In FFXI there where certain fights where you where not able to participate unless you where of certain level. There did was a complex system around it but i would apreciate it if COH had a simplified version, one that as soon as you even attempt attacking the enemy that has a max lvl you will get exemplared to that level. Automaticaly.
Would had been fun to see that controller suddenly level down to lvl 12 and get his butt kicked by the kreken and all the other angry hydras!
All rare spawn monsters should be like that, they should be monsters to be feared by EVERYONE. Monsters not ever meant to be soloed. -

First of all, wrong thread bud. We discussing Super Strenght damage output here, at most compare it with other tanker damage sets.
But to awnser your question:
It is a STANCE. If you are not familiar with it, the exagerated and fake martial arts stance makes you have a perfect guard against some types of attack, but as the name implies, it is a stance, you MUST stay still to perform it properly. Why does it stops mental status? THAT is a mistery. -
Hmm, i say the only reason that setup is imposible to do is that vomit is imposible to buff against.
On other groups this may not be such a bad setup. Well, maybe the mortifiers on the first one yes. Then again it depends on the group setup. If you have no tanke then that is hell. -

Then change the missions that require clicks on multiple blinkies at the same time so that, if someone chooses to solo the mission, it's possible to do so. I can see requiring the simul click if someone brings a group in, but, as they are right now, certain missions on Test are FORCING grouping. Marking them clearly so they can be skipped isn't an answer. I'm being forced to group in order to clear out my contacts' mission lists.

All Archetypes CAN solo. Some do it slowly, some do it quickly. Some can solo most missions, some can solo fewer missions. And worse comes to worse - a hero can always hunt the streets and stop some crime there. That was always the intent of city zones.
