I like it. I'll try to be around from 7-8 EST, but at 8 I'm heading out for some DDO with the folks over at Paragon Unleashed. I'll be around the forums all day for the most part.

Clockwork might be interesting, although there's not much info I've been able to find on them. Thugs could be pretty badass though.
As far as throwing ideas out there...
Medieval
3 Warriors (2 BS/Inv(WP) Scrappers, 1 Emp/Arch Defender)
2 Archers (Arch/TA Corruptors)
1 Commander (Shield/WM Tanker or Brute)
Summoner - could be a an actual wizard type, or use the commander and make the 'boss' pet the wizard instead. -
I always liked Dora the Destroyer. Pretty much what you'd expect: Dora the Explorer with a big freaking axe and a penchant for destruction.
-
I play an Elec/Dark scrapper and it's a fun combo, so I'm confident the tanker analog will be a fairly impressive combination of damage, control, and survivability. Aside from a -KB IO, and the Theft of Essence Proc, grab either combat jumping or cloak of darkness asap to cover DA's lack of immobilization protection. There may not be a ton of enemies that can immobilize you, but it is perhaps the most frustrating experience for a melee character to be stuck in one spot while the fight is about twenty feet ahead of you.
-
I might be interested, preferably a melee role of some sort, if schedule allows.

One of the reasons I like Thugs, you can almost spot-on duplicate the look of your minions and blend in.
-
Definitely an interesting idea for a static group. I like it.

If those are the best we've got, I might just stay home for the most part.

Take your damage aura (Blazing Aura) or George Carlin will rise from his grave, pull your testicles out through your nose, roast 'em on the bbq, and feed them to a pack of hellhounds. Also because it's awesome.

Dropkick Queen of the Weekend by The Dudes
And just because the Dudes kick ***, Girl Police and Do the Right Thing. -
I'll be there.

Not really. My Inv/DB makes use of the BF->AV chain for most of the game and adds in the two other AoE's when I'm in a big mob. Nimble might be okay against bosses or the like, but given the aoe savagery of the set I don't usually aim for hard targets. Not to mention you'd have to throw a slot or two in there to make it reliable. I don't use Sweep on my tanker, but mainly because the attacks I have work well, and I'm already forced to to take Nimble Strike (which I don't use).
While I like Bruising, I don't think I'd go out of my way to utilize it, especially since there are so many good choices in the set that could use the slots. -
Tank and Blaster is a good one to consider, although with Going Rogue (assuming you have it) I would probably recommend Tank and Corruptor.
For the corruptor I'd recommend Fire/Dark because by itself it takes AoE carnage to another level, particularly with it's debuffs. Even better, it can do this by about level 10 on.
Without GR, a Fire/Fire blaster paired with someone holding aggro could just go ******* insane with the AoE.
You could go with a Tanker/Brute/Scrapper for the other character. With just two people, you don't need the uber survivability some sets offer. I'd recommend sets with some offensive flair, such as Fire, Electric, Shields, and pair it up with a melee set with some good AoE, Fire, Electric, Mace, Super Strength. -
My soldier is the Warrior Widow. I expect some confusion later on, but the name fits because she is both a warrior and a widow. And it was free and I'm too lazy to come up with something better.

I enjoy my WP/SR, especially with the extra recharge to help out the slowish WP attacks come up more quickly. I wouldn't worry about status effects affecting your fury generation. Just keep attacking and piling into huge mobs and you should be good to go.
-
I went high recharge with mine, although since I don't play my 50's or have any money for purples or LotG's, I only made it to 55% recharge from set bonuses on my way to 50. Kinetic Crash six-slotted into Kick and Crane Kick worked well enough for me. 15% recharge and 6pts of KB protection as well as some other bonuses and enough Damage enhancement to make the attacks passable.
Haven't gotten round to altering the build for the new changes, probably won't, but it's a damned fun combo. Definitely go for the recharge bonuses. -

Enlighten me as to why all controller AoE immobilize powers must be used from melee range. Or why that defender chose to use an attack rather than heal me.
-
Liv Tyler and Ellen Page interest me, but Rainn Wilson irritates the hell outta me.
-
Mine is level 30 and boatloads of fun. Don't have a build planned for her yet, I'm just having fun crushing skulls into the pavement.

I agree with Jophiel on this one. Someone who hasn't played in over 5 years, since before Jan 4, 2005, isn't likely coming back. You could get a university degree or two in that kind of time. It's not a case of 'I'm taking a break', they're just gone. These names predate Global Chat, APP's, Kheldians, and the Council. Time to free them up.
