Yeah, chibis are FAST. They usually take me about 30 minutes from start to finish, I just don't want to spend all day doing chibis (although the idea IS appealing....)

Are you hosting it on photobucket? I've noticed that if you host it on photobucket it will only let you change it if you put it on your first page. It won't work if you host it in a folder for some weird reason.

Man, vacations are fun. Having a two-day long migraine and not being able to play the game does kind of suck though

Because what I do lacks the INSANE amount of detail (and talent ) that you put into your works! With stuff that isn't chibis, I actually slow myself down a LOT to give it time to soak in so I can look at what I'm doing more objectively.

And speaking of fast, I'm almost done with a Pep chibi.

OMG so I was trawling about Deviant Art (which is both very very good and very very bad for my ego ) and I came across a great little gallery of an oekaki artist that did "long-body" powerpuff-style chibis. Now I SUCK at oekaki (not having a tablet) but I DO know cute. So I decided to try it.

I think they turned out pretty darned cute, especially for a first try!!!

I think it depends on how prolific someone is and ....well....how much I want to see what they're doing. Personally I don't like slogging through a long thread (particularly since there are tangents) just to pick out the posts with art in them. This is part of the reason that I try and post a list of all the art in the thread after every three or four pieces.

The longer the sketchdump is, the less of a chance I will read it. Which is why I really feel like having one thread means that people stop checking it after a while. I know that there are only about four people who actually check my thread any more At the same time though, there is the potential for spammage (though not as much here as there is on a lot of other forums).

Personally I prefer to do it that way too, I find each piece gets more recognition with more individualized critque. BUT some people tend to get scoldy if you're not one of the big guys and you do that. That's why I try to put a list of art in the thread every four pages or so.

I've been feeling REALLY bad today (migraine and a weird feeling of emptiness now that I'm not studying 12 hours a day any more) so I decided to do a little happy pic too. Since Graver's been talking about Norse mythology (after his TA pic) I guess it was on the brain, and I took a piece from that.

It's got everything in the thread, but better scans with higher resolutions since I don't have to compress them to fit them on DA. I'm still a TOTAL DA n00b, but I'm liking it so far (even if it is a bit of a pain in the [censored] to upload).

Almost done with Feral Kat and started inking Vort. Imperial and Replete are next up!
