With enough recharge a huntsman doesnt need more than Venom grenade, heavy burst and Frag grenade. WAWG takes the knockback out of frag and also slows recharge and movement of foes.
I think my huntsmann is on about 80% global recharge without hasten. -
Use second build to make Huntsman, kite EBs to death.
-
I would go for a Shield/Mace tank or a Dark Melee/Invul brute.
-
I would like to see a nimbus of frost as an option for Ice Armour. It may be that your skin is frozen hard rather than having a thick coating of ice on it.
-
I think if you are going to go with electric armour you should use it to power something endurance thirsty like super strength, the recharge bonus passive ties in nicely too - gives more rage and foot stomping.

DB/SR is the first stalker I managed to get to 50. Quite a tight build but a lot of fun to play.
Got quite a scrapper feel to it. -
I guess pretty soon we will all be able to just do the villain one instead...
-
Well I have been playing a Traps/AR defender and he's currently lvl 48. I have to say he is my go-to character now, a lot of fun to play and a great addition to any team.
I think both options are good really, though I must admit getting the traps powers early is very nice. I suppose in the long run since Time Bomb is so lame a corrupter should be well set up by the mid 20s. -
I think I may be in love with Traps/Assault Rifle...

While I didn't level up as a bane, (went huntsman) I do have a bane as second build. I have found the single target hold (web cacoon I think) quite handy. Stacks nicely with the hold attack that the spider bots like to spam.

You might also want to take a look at Traps/AR defenders, Mine is rapidly becoming my go-to hero.
-
Get villain to lvl 20, unlock SoA, make huntsman, problem solved - sort of.
-
Controllers don't get Dark Miasma or Traps
-
War Mace/Shield brute or Shield/War Mace tank
-
If you have the Inf you can softcap S/L def on Invulnerability and then its just about the toughest thing out there.
-
My Sonic/Mental blaster is shaping up pretty nicely with two damage cones, a sleep cone and a nasty PBAoE. Its fairly safe to use due to the sleep and drain psyche (which makes a nice difference from my fire/fire blaster).
2 crabs or huntsmen is brutal.
Somthing like Fire/Storm corrupter might be good too. -
Could also give BS/regen or Kat/regen a go I suppose.
-
I love my Traps/AR solo or on teams, reminds me a bit of my SoA Huntsman.
Dark/Dark is also good solo. -
A Quickie Mart / Gas station style store you can go in and see out of might be cool too.
-
I have a lvl 28 mind/earth assault Dom, getting some good milage from Terrify, dont think I would skip it.
Going to skip mudpots I think, I move about too much to get much from it. -
I figured making it a toggle was a fairly reasonable idea since most people can easily get enough global recharge with IOs that it stacks. Making it a toggle gets rid of the crash and admittedly you won't be able to multi stack rage anymore but at least it would be more consistent. It would also mean you could have somthing else as your auto power like hasten or practiced brawler ect.

I built my Ice/SS to soft cap S/L/E/N without energy absorbtion, its nice to have a bit of a def buffer when tanking the ITF for example. I also picked recharge as my secondary goal, as it adds to suvivability and damage.

My DB/SR stalker can easily stick around to scrap it out after the initial opening move - be it an assassin strike on a boss or 1000 cuts on a big group.
I also took hibernate from the Mako pool so if things go wrong i can have a little time out to heal up, also go back into hide while hibernating.
If you want to make a good contribution in PvE I would recomend taking a primary set with at least 1 AoE attack.
