Nice of him to inform his intended victims they were part of his sick experiment.
What a Jerk! -
I would also like to say thanks for making such a great tool.
It's a really fun game of it's own, comming up with build ideas -
I would just like to say thank you War Witch and all the other Devs for such a great game.
I'm sure the last five years would have been the much poorer, for me and many others, without City of heroes/Villains and heres to many more great years to come -
I'm experiencing a similar problem, I can play for a few minutes and the the screen goes black and the message 'display driver has stopped responding' pops up and the game crashes.
I'm on Vista and I have an Nvidia 8800 graphics card.
I have tried updating drivers, reinstalling windows and vacuming the PC. No luck fixing it yet.
Starting to get desparate... -
Hi,
From my experience I would say that cloak of fear is very end hungry to run and somewhat counter productive to fury generation. Opressive gloom ia also counter productive to fury generation but it can save you in a tight spot.
For PBAOE attacks the Multistrike set is quite cheap to get, has about maxed out end redux and the set bonuses add to def.
I would seriously consider getting death shroud for leveling, it will kill more stuff than anything else over time.
Darkest night is very good for herding, high end cost though.
Dark regenration costs a buttload of endurance, and the end recovery proc is very good in it.
It may be worth building for def in the long run, you can probably get to the high 20s or so without too much trouble. That will save relying on Dark Regenration and OG too heavily.
I found the Sandman chance to heal proc pretty handy in Charged brawl and Havoc Punch for my Elec/SR brute.
Slot gloom to kill, to hit debuff is low. Thunderstrike is a good set.
I think all those Obliteration sets will cost you more than the GDP of France -
Earth/Thermal is quite slow to build up at low levels, I suggest teaming alot pre 32. Post 32 you dont need to team at all if you dont want to. I easily soloed the Tina MacIntyre, Uni Kemmen and Maria Jenkins arcs on Unyeilding difficulty (Could probably have done on invincible if i had the patience).
If you pile on the damage procs then Earth can do some pretty respectable damage.
With the two themal shields and the two +resistance IOs Stoney is about 90% resistant to all damage types, practially unkillable if you throw the occasionable heal on him. He also taunts like a machine so you dont have to worry much about an AV trying to hit you as long as Stoney is around.
I did a Earth/Thermal guide a while ago, its probably sinking to the bottom of the guides section -
I have to say I'm really enjoying my Shield/War Mace (34)tank.
Out of a Stone/Stone (44) a Ice/SS (41) and him, he is fast becomming my favourite. Does really well in teams and Shield charge is fantastic for alpha strikes. -
I'm really sorry to hear about the job losses at Brighton.
I hope those who were made redundant are lucky enough to find new placements swiftly.
On a personal level thats the third bit of bad news I have had this week, the end of the week can't come fast enough now. -
At the speed which things die these days you probably dont need to use anchor powers on anything short of an EB.
-
I really enjoyed the ride to 50 on my huntsman. I read a great guide on the US forum about playing a gun toting badass and got totally hooked into the concept. The play style is probably very similar to a AR/traps corrupter but without all the lame setting up the traps.
I found that with double assault running not much survives my Wide area web grenade, venom, frag & heavy burst attack chain. With double manuvers going i dont get hit much either, neither does my team.
I thought I would need to get aid self, but in the end I never did and didn't miss it at all.
It's great playing a character that adds a visable differance to a teams survivablity and damage output, somthing I don't really feel when plaing my Kelds.
I somtimes feel that maybe kelds should bring buffs to a team they join intead of leaching of them, to make up for all the hassle of cysts.
Widows are hard going until you get to 24, then its like a different world. I think its having 'Foresight' that makes the biggest difference, its a major boost to survivablity. -
I believe Spines/WP is supposed to be good for soloing TFs.
-
I'm one of the suckers who is currently playing Wrath of the L337 King. I think Death Knights stole there play style from Brutes.
I will be back to CoH soon enough though. -
I kind of see your point, but maybe this way at least pug team leaders will consider doing some story arcs instead of radio/paper missions to 50.
-
How did you come to the conclusion that having more than one build would allow you to swop powersets?
To a limited extent you will be able to in that you can have different pool and epic powers sets on the two builds. -
Why could they not have just added an extra power option to each set? I quite liked hurl boulder on my controller, it was a good power to slot cheap knockback protection in.
-
They are highly resistant to negative damage, but probably vulnerable to lethal. My lvl 34 WS struggled a bit and he is well slotted with IOs.
They are a lot tougher at low levels too. -
I got griefed by some jerk in Granville last night, he was flying door to door clicking and flying off to the next one, regardless of anyone who may have been already dealing with mobs at the door (no warnings in broadcast). Needless to my lvl 41 got face planted by lvl 50 mobs the spawned from the door I was at. I put him on ignore so at least I won't be teaming with him in future.
I'm beginning to think there should be no rewards if you don't kill the mobs (no costumes or event salvage ect) and the mobs should despawn after 15 sec if you don't do them any damage. -
Admittedly I don't spend much time doing PvP. Seems pointless as far as I can see, when I do decide to PvP I go to Sirens Call as that zone is the most fun.
Uber purple set bounses don't work there as far as I know so meh. -
There are roleplayers on Union?
I don't recall seeing any -
As far as I can see the only thing worth getting from purples is the global recharge bonus (generally only requires 3 or so from a set) and damage procs.
-
For some reason people feel that they need to have full purple sets in all the powers that can take them, regardless of the set bonus they provide (don't know why).
All my alts are more than overpowered and not a single one has a purple IO, let alone a full set. -
lol, its a shame there is no headbut pool power :P
-
For example putting 3 lvl 50 heal IOs in health is a total waste, 2 lvl 50s would be roughly 90% of the benefit from 3.
Though the default slot is probably all you really need in health.
Sorry for the derailment :P -
I take it that you realize you can get over 80% enhancement from 2 lvl 50 schedule A IOs?
Are you trying to trivialize the challenge by 6 slotting all you powers? People are complaining that the game is too easy as it is. -
I would love to know what people feel the need to pick instead of taunt, 95% of the time there is something they can easily drop to get taunt.
My ice tank even has taunt, I use it when solo too. Saves a lot of running around after mobs, its probably on of the most time saving and efficient powers you can get, the psi damage proc is just an awesome sauce bonus ontop of a cake made of pure awesome
