True, I just threw that in since its level is hidden as well, and some people might like to know.

edit: Oh yeah, the GM code also applies to Sally. This allows a level 1 a reasonable chance to hit and defeat Sally. Otherwise they would only have a 5% chance to be able to defeat her.

Does the level for Babbage apply to both the Boomtown version and the one spawned from Psynapse?
    Yes

There are a few other absences - off the top of my head Hami (OK its Hami class not a GM presumably lvl 50), the DE monsters in the Hive/Monkey Island, Hydra, Crystal Titan
The DE monsters in the wild vary from 48-50. The two Quarries in the Eden trial are level 42 (and tagged as Giant Monsters). There's also a mission or two that have Thorns in them, and they vary by the mission level.

The Hydra and the Crystal Titan are level 42, though I don't know if their level would get modified by difficulty or not.

Right click on the chat box and select Join Channel. Type in Jello Shooters. Or type /ChanJoin "Jello Shooters".

    oh no, too slow
  3. My apologies, I should have expanded more. I get that error when I add the slash. Without the slash I get the error that Leandro gets.

    Code:
    perl dropstats.pl -dir "D:\CoH\logs\game"
Error in file or directory options:-
      C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\logs\game is not a valid directory

The wording is slightly different from what you stated (lower instead of higher in the case of your being a lower level than the GM), but perhaps the net effect is the same. If you are doing damage as if it were one level lower than you (as it reads in wiki), does this (still) mean less effective damage than if you are doing damage equal to its level?
It is as one level lower, at least last I checked. If you're level 15 and you attack Lusca, you'll do damage as if Lusca is level 14. A bit more damage than against an even level enemy. But still less than if you were the same or higher level than the GM.

I'm pulling this mostly from memory, as it's been awhile since I did a lot of GM testing.

    Paladin - Level 9
    Kraken - Level 14
    Babbage - Level 19
    Lusca - Level 25
    Adamastor - Level 29
Sally - Varies, level 28-30 IIRC
Eochai and Jack (Croatoa) - Varies, Levels 30-33
Eochai and Jack (Halloween) Varies, but usually levels divisible by 5 at the top of the zone level range (e.g. Talos level 30, Hollows level 15)
    Jurassik - Level 39

I never got around to checking out Kronos, but it's often been said that it's level 49. And I don't play redside, so no clue on the GMs over there.

It's pretty easy to test these days as long as you're higher level then the GM. First, pick an attack, one that the GM takes full damage from (no resists or weaknesses, check Culex's resistance spreadsheet). Hit the GM with it and check the combat log to see how much damage was done. Then check the real numbers and move the slider down until the damage number matches the damage you did, or is close enough that it's just a rounding difference. That should be the level of the GM. Obviously, it best works if you character your testing with is level 50.
  6. I'm glad to see that it's not just me having problems.

There seems to be a problem when CoH isn't in the default spot. Here's an error I got.

    Code:
    perl dropstats.pl -dir "D:\CoH\logs\game\"
Cannot chdir to D:\CoH\logs\game": No such file or directory at Module/Settings.pm line 352

But then there's the problem of slotting them, which is why level 50s are useless to anyone below level 47.
  8. Also, if you go between zones or when you enter a mission, the stealth IO will stack with itself for a couple of minutes.
  9. You might want to check out Archie Gremlin's Dropstats. If you log chat, it'll analyze your drops and let you know if it's within the expected range.

It requires a bit of knowledge to play around with command line and perl, but it's not too hard.

Also see Log Files Wanted for Drop Rate Analysis thread.

This, this, so many times this. And add Sappers into the list. There's been quite a few times I've been drained by a sapper, only to have this proc fire off and get me up and running enough to finish the sapper off.

Here's some tables for inspiration drops based upon I7 data, which may or may not still be accurate. It doesn't include the actual chance of a drop, though.
  12. A while ago, I checked on a character that still had the old mission and she was there for that character, but not there for other characters which didn't have the old mission.

I don't have a live server character with the mission, but when I checked a character on test who still has the mission, she wasn't there.

Also, you couldn't drop either of the missions in the old version even when it was available.
  13. Look around the forums and wiki for stuff on creating your own demo files.

Startchat just activates the chat entry line, it doesn't take parameters. BeginChat is the proper command for this situation.

    This.

On low population Protector, I saw 3 Positron TFs, a TV respec, and a Citadel TF (which I joined) run in just the few hours I was on yesterday.
  19. Have you joined any of the global chat channels on your server?

I see plenty of people on low population Protector, and plenty happening on Pro's Jello Shooters chat channel

  21. Since you mentioned SR, Elude gives a very nice speed bonus as well. Just throwing that out there.
  22. Edit: At some point in the last year, this issue has been fixed. The Info screen now shows the correct time on the hold.

    Here's one I didn't find through searching.

Sonic Resonance Liquefy. The Info screen says it's about a 30 second mag 2 hold. On the enhancement screen, it says its 4.4 sec hold. It definitely doesn't last 30 seconds.

No, they do not have access to your storage.

At one time, people outside your SG could add stuff to your storage, but that's long since been changed.
