Just pointing out that there's more to defeating the banners than just debuffs and damage. Each banner has 0-4 symbols on the ground when they become vulnerable. The more symbols, the harder it is to hurt. Also, the color is supposed to indicate the type of protection, according to the wiki, though no one seems to have figured out the meanings yet.

Quote:My previous post in a previous, silly, long thread about this. Now we're at it. Why are some bubbles bright green and some dark green? Neg rep that wasn't enough to fully take the green rep away?

Just pointing out, NaNoWriMo is coming up.

Conga Rats, big time.
I also do that with the characters I need the Unseelie badge with, though it's a bit trickier to pull Eochai and leave the Unseelies behind. -
Quote:That page is fine as well, as I've get email updates on those. I'll update in a second.I have been adding locs, but to the wiki talk page not the forum thread : ) . I gave you the 2 new locations blue-side, the one in Eden and another one today in Creys'. I'm on Justice btw.
edit - Updated:
Crey's Folly
I had already gotten your eden update. -
Quote:If it's in a well traveled zone, then yes, this is what happens. But I have found Jack in off zones at times. But other than player intervention, the only thing that's going to despawn Eochai or Jack is a server reset. And I don't believe that has happened in the past couple days.Probably because when he DOES show up, everybody rushes to beat him down, and just leaves Eochai there untouched until something despawns him...
Quote:When a "regular" GM spawns in the zone does the event GM despawn for the duration that regular GM is up? I ask because I'm combing Creys' Folly right now looking for undocumented spawn sites because there are no event GM spawns at any of the known locations, however, Jurassik is up.
What server are you searching? If you find a location not on the ParagonWiki maps (*not* the Wikia site), type /loc when you're near the GM and post the numbers in this thread and I'll update the map. -
Quote:More directly, no, Jack will not spawn spontaneously. Check Zombie's link for more info.Does Jack ever spawn spontaneously, or must players defeat Eochai some unknown number of times in a zone to trigger a Jack spawn?
Quote:is the only way I'm going to see him by getting a team and working a zone until he appears? -
Depends upon how you define soloing. With Temp powers? Some people don't consider that soloing, but an empath with a shivan can almost certainly solo most AVs. A shivan with fort and AB is a terrifying thing. Add in a Warwolf and a couple of nukes ups the scale by quite a bit.

Yeah, I have to hit reload just to make sure with each upload.

Not to sound ungrateful, but could you make a new post rather than edit? When you do that, I'll get an email since I've subscribed to this thread. Otherwise, I might miss it or not check the thread for a while. -

Like the wiki says, you cannot just fight at one banner in the beginning. During one event I was at, everyone in the zone was at a single banner and we fought until the timer hit the 10 minute mark without the banners becoming vulnerable. Finally, people split up and the banners become vulnerable within a minute or two.

If you find a spot not shown on the wiki maps, get a /loc number and I'll update the maps. Trying to describe the spot doesn't do me any good.
I don't play the red side, and don't have a character there who can hunt and drone the GMs, so I can't update them by myself.
You can either add the number to the Talk page of the map on the wiki, Send me a tell @StarGeek, PM me through this board or post in this thread. -
It's that time of year again. I'm looking to update the Paragon Wiki's maps, especially the red side ones. If you find a GM site that's not shown there, get the location via the /loc command and either post it here, on the talk page for that map, PM me, or send me a tell @StarGeek.
Telling me stuff like "it's near the hospital" doesn't help. I need actual numbers to plug into my script. Just go to where it was standing, type /loc, and send me the numbers (and the zone, of course).
Thanks all -

Ah, my bad. [Particle Cannon] shows 15.67s recharge, 4s cast, 9.1 seconds of blasting animation (-0.42% unique for 9.10s on target after 1.00s delay). I was going from memory when I timed it with a watch back before real numbers.

I once saw a character named Heal Bot 3000. It was a Regen scrapper

Quote:No, anything can hurt them, though they have high resistances. The thermite cannons do additional damage against Hydra other than the Hydra Head (Tentacles, Hatched Kraken, Protean, etc)Are the thermite cannons the only thing that can hurt the tentacles?
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Thermite_Cannon
A couple more items. The force field generators have extremely high resistance to Psi attacks, something like 85% to 90%, so make sure anyone with such attacks is paired with a high damage character. Also, the base recycle (animation+recharge) of the Particle cannons is about 30 seconds and the generators will drop for only 90 seconds, so unless a person has high recharge (from sets, hasten, speed boost, etc) it's best to only try for 3 shots each time the generators are taken down. Finally, when the hydra head reaches 50% and 25% (or was it 10%?) hit points, Rikti reinforcements will port in to the center area, so watch for those. These reinforcements must be also be defeated before the will mission end. The ones that port in by the generators do not have to be defeated to end the mission. -
Checking my firewall program, I'm showing about 100Kb of traffic (incoming and outgoing) for last week. Previous weeks have a lot more traffic, due to some patches during those times. That's playing 2-4 hours/day, sometimes more.
-
They cannot. Way back, when this was a mission and didn't act like a taskforce, I tested it by dropping a bio nuke on myself, and a chemical nuke on the hydra. There was no change to the damage.

Nope, there's a few contacts in that range that just don't have enough missions to fill the bar. And you're not the first person to come across this. I remember one OCD person who was sending emails to support to fill up the bar for him.
