I don't believe you have the option to remove it. I know that I have a tab with only Help chat on it and it still gets admin on it.

If it's the first time you run those, then yes, you can choose a Villain Merit for each.

    Quote:
Now, if I repeat the arc immediately I cannot choose the merit, is that correct?
You can then run any one of the SSAs again for an additional Villain Merit. You would then have to wait seven days to run it again for the same reward. If you run any of them again immediately, you won't get the the Villain Merit as an option, though you'll still be able to choose the threads, reward merit bonus, or Astral Merit. If you run any of them again, the previously choose reward will not be selectable until a week has passed.

IIn regards to once a week... is that a full 7 days from when you do it, or reset with tuesday maintenance?
I don't know if it's exactly seven days, but it's pretty close. I once ran it Monday evening and was unable to choose the merit when I ran it next Monday morning.
  3. At level 40-50, there are only two tip missions that will take you out of Atlas (You're a Cruel One, Mr. Phipps and Shattered Jar of Flesh, IIRC). At level 30-40, all tip missions can be done in Atlas. I'm not sure about the lower level ones.

From what I can tell, it's based upon the type of door for the mission. For example, if it needs a cave door and there isn't that type of door in the zone, it'll take you to a zone that has that type. In the case of the two I mention above, they need the helicopter and a boat entrance and usually (always?) take you to IP for those missions.
  4. My latest 50 went from opening the Alpha to tier 4 in two days using threads. It was a total of about 5-6 trials of various sorts plus running Mortimer Kai and the WST and converting the two Notices to threads. Admittedly, I did get lucky and got a very rare and a rare drop in there, but otherwise it was so much easier and quicker than trying to create it with shards.

Just make sure you're looking at the ParagonWiki.com (aka wiki.cohtitan.com), not cityofheroes.wikia.com. The Wikia site is out of date andÂ… has questionable links and content to put it nicely.

Titan Sentinal + CIT FTW. I just go to "My Account" there and it'll tell me exactly how much Influence, Infamy, and Information I have across all my charcters. The only hard part is adding the three numbers together to find the total.

Yes, they are, but the enemy doesn't have to be 50 to drop one. Just like a level 47-49 can drop a level 50 generic IO recipe.

Buying from the contacts is what is locked. You could always sell enhancements to them regardless of whether you unlocked them or not.
  10. One thing I did notice is that those xp rewards were not affected by patrol xp, day jobs, or SGmode (no prestige rewarded). The only thing that did affect the reward was if NoXP was on or not.

This is exactly the reason most of my characters are vigil/rogue. I keep a few characters hero to get alignment merits, but I find that at most I can do 10 tips per day without becoming totally bored, so any more pure characters is a waste for me.
  12. Some quick testing.
    Level 3 - 5 xp
    Level 6 - 25 xp
    Level 7 - 25 xp
    Level 8 - 50 xp
    Level 10 - 50 xp
    Level 13 - 75 xp
    Level 14 - 100 xp
    Level 15 - 100 xp
    Level 17 - 125 xp
    Level 20 - 175 xp
    Level 25 - 300 xp
    Level 33 - 500 xp
    Level 34 - 525 xp
    Level 39 - 650 xp
Hmmm, at least between levels 20 and 39, it's an additional 25 xp/level. There's probably a good chance that continues on up, though some verification would be good.

    As per Aggelakis's link:
" This option existed during the Beta Test for Issue 21/City of Heroes Freedom, but was not made available on the Paragon Market upon release."

The dates on SailorET's post seem to be correct, so there was a short window where it appears it was possible.

Task/Strike forces are also available to tourists. They can even start ones they've unlocked on their trip around the alignments. For example, I've started Mortimer Kai SFs on my Vigil.
  16. I bought a couple for $4 and change from amazon a couple weeks ago. They came with Best Buy stickers on them.

That has been changed. That's the point of this thread I believe.

    Data Usage

Looking at my Kaspersky network log, it looks like I'm using 200-300 megs/week. That's playing 2-4 hours/day on the average.

At one time, yes, but I don't believe that's the default setting anymore. There's too many people chatting across faction on help channel these days. Too many cases of "Invite me" "I can't, you're an enemy".

One thing to remember is that the actual difference between the level 25 and the level 50 is only 3.9%. That's not 3.9% defense, that's 3.9% of whatever defense the power gives. If, for example, the power gives 10 points of defense, the difference between the two IOs is 0.39 points of defense.

  23. I took my rogue, who's still part of my hero super group to Atlas and Port Oaks to check. In Atlas, the Registrar said he won't talk to villains like me. In Port Oaks, I was able to pay rent and buy prestige.

If I recall, my vigils in the hero SG were able to pay rent on either side. Sorry, didn't have time to check about buying.
