Yeah, thanks for the great evening guys. Even *with* a rabit cat trying to get in through my window, great fun.

A rabbit cat? Do you happen to live near a genetics research lab in RL? -

(Inv has only one aura that taunts, and it's not a powerful one, where Stone, Fire or Ice for example have multiple, some really good ones).

Stone's the only tanker set I'm at all familiar with, and even there I haven't quite reached SO levels.
But...multiple taunt auras? Stone had Mud Pots, certainly, but what else is there?
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, well originally that didn't have 'have multiple' in there,

Checking back to your OP, yes, it did - and still does. (Unless you did an unmarked edit to add it, which IMHO still counts.)

Are you sure about that? You see Grim's departure's left an ignore slot looking for a new account to latch on to... -

Sorry, I'll leave now. -
Sorry, I don't actually play on this server much. But after seeing this thread's title on the main forum list once to often I just had to post and change the subject slightly.

This looks strangely familiar, possibly doubly so...

Bah!
I heal them (because let's face it, the ProtBots' heals tend to be haphazard to the point of uselessness), buff them, debuff their enemies, and how do they reward me? Half-hearted bubbling, that's how!
Time to reprogram my bots with a large hammer, I feel... -
My rob/poison MM's just reached level 24, and is now summoning 2 of her mid-level minions (ProtectorBots for robot MMs).
One of the things these do is bubble the rest of the MM team - the low level battle drones, and the MM herself. Pre-24, when there was only the one ProtBot, each drone got a single bubble, same for the MM, and as the ProtBot couldn't bubble itself that had to do without.
Now there are 2 ProtBots, each of them gets a bubble - they do each other - and each drone now gets 2 bubbles - one from each ProtBot - and the MM still gets a single bubble.
Does anyone know if this is by design, or are my bots just getting a bit of revenge for all those times I left them to be trashed by the EB while dashing for safety myself? -
Thanks to all for the suggestions; I've tried some of these before (or variations on them), and don't currently have any slow/mezz powers (unless you count attack knockback) but there are a few things I can try and I'll give these a go when my MM's making her next withdrawal.
Evil Overlords FTW! -
[ QUOTE ]
So once again, use walls/obstacles to 'hide' from their 'line of sight'. This way they have to run to you, time enough for your bots to arrest em.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmmm - thought I'd tried this, or a close variant of it.
I've taken the door down, then placed the bots just outside the vault's outer chamber. Left in aggressive mode they should start shooting the approaching ambush at the earliest opportunity.
Then I go and hide inside the vault, just round the corner of the door as you say, and wait...
A bit of shooting sound fx, then all of the ambush (including the guy(s) the bots have been blasting as they run up - can tell as their health's down) pokes its head round the vault corner and opens up on the cowering MM.
I don't have the Poison hold power yet, so am limited to debuffing as much as possible - it helps, but not to the extent that the ambush doesn't do serious damage.
As far as I can tell the ambush just won't switch its aggro to the bots; even if they all open up on the one guy he'll continue shooting me in the head as long as he's on his feet.
Perhaps Statesman hates me especially?
Edit: Fixed mismatched brackets (it would never have compiled...) -
A little gripe, and question on whether other soloing MMs have found better tactics for dealing with this...
My Bots/Poison MM tends to solo, and can normally cope with ambushes well enough - send the bots after the ambush group as soon as you see it, the bots grab the aggro, stand well back while the opposition gets a kicking. All par for the course for a MM.
The ambushs on the "Steal loot then defeat guards" heists don't seem to work this way though - the mob aggro starts on the MM (me!!!) and stays there. Even the mob the bots are targetting continues shooting me, despite the hammering he's getting from my boys, and you can forget any chance of losing aggro from the rest of the group.
As I have no self- or minion-based heals, and defenses are limited to a FF from the Protector Bot and any Insps I eat, standing and fighting just isn't an option. A single spawn of 3 guards will take the squishy MM down before the bots can take all of them (and even if they don't, quite, the next 2 followup groups will finish the job).
The best tactics I've found for dealing with this is to have a tray full of purple insps, and use these in pairs to avoid most of the guards' hits. That works, but the Insps run out before all the guard groups have been cleared. So, the first thing I do after stealing the loot is dash for the door so I can escape outside and restock after my defense boosts run out. Then I have to come back in and re-spawn the bots under fire (the guards camp the door - griefers!). Rinse and repeat a few times, and the mission's finally clear.
This works, but takes a good while with the repeated Insp runs - has anyone found a better alternative for soloing these missions?
(I understand heists are vanishing in I7 anyway - hurrah. But for the time being they're here, so my question stands...)
-
So far the Battle Drones are:
Irony
Brassy
Steely
And the single 2nd tier bot my MM currently makes is:
Foundry
Provisional name for the other 2nd tier is Forgery, and Artillery for the big hard Assault Bot when it finally arrives. -
Congrats J - another one Top o'the World!
So, which next? -
I have dim memories (Friday afternoon - everything's dim) of one of the GG roleplayers mentioning some sort of "chat tidier" program one of them had written. Takes a chat log and turns it into a far more readable file.
You might want to try Googling for that, or ask one of the GGers. -

WHat?? why do people keep saying this??
Ok I'll admit to not haveing a dark/ corruptor but I do have a emp/dark defender.
[/ QUOTE ]
In your situation and as you described how you use dark pit it would be very useful to have because you have no other form of "lock down" power in your primary. From the point of view of a dark/dark, I've always found the combination of fearsome stare and petrifying gaze better, afterall things don't need to be feared and stunned so you don't need both. If I decided not to take FS then yes I'd probably get DP and invest some slots into it.
[/ QUOTE ]
As someone with a Dark/Dark Defender and Corruptor I'd agree with Tufty.
My Defender took Dark Pit initially, then I respecced it out first chance I got; it's been avoided like the plague for both toons ever since.
Post-ED a lot of ATs (in my experience) can find themselves with more slots than they know what to do with, but a Dark/Dark (in either order) has so many good powers, most of which benefit from diverse slotting, that just isn't the case for them.
I'd rather use slots (and the power pick itself) turning a good power into a great one than a poor power into a passable one. Sadly Dark Pit's presented itself as the latter to me (and I did go as far as trying it 4-slotted with SOs). -
Sushi-san's too dumb to know when to give up - put him on the list again, please!
