Ideally they'd automate the process, so every time a new update's added to the download list it also triggers an install/DVD image rebuild.
-
Which stats? HP progression is here, and there's a good chance anything else you're after will be on the site somewhere too.

Known bug list, item 12.

Images of Batman machinegunning nazis while Robin enthusiastically passes more ammo predate the paradigm shift largely triggered by the publishing of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns in 1986.

Very true. -
Use workbenches (placeable in base workshop rooms) - click on them to get lists of what can be made and the salvage options for them.
A few random notes:
* You need more advanced workbenches to make some base items
* Some base items need unlocking via SG activities before you can make them
* Once an item's been crafted at a workbench, it appears on your "Personal Items" list if you select that option in the entrance room. Even after you've crafted it, you still need enough spare prestige to be able to actually place the item in your base.
Happy workbenching! -

I've heard some people saying you get a faster connection when downloading the US client and then changing it to point to the EU servers.
Also, its alot quicker to install CoH, then CoV, THEN update.
Do you have CoV installed already or just CoH?
[/ QUOTE ]
You don't need to install it twice - CoH and Cov use the same client so install it once, let it update and you can access both games.
[/ QUOTE ]
I know, but they also share files/information, so doing this does help. For example, bases are included with CoV but not CoH- it would need to update to get the files it needs for these.
[/ QUOTE ]
No - there is and only ever has been the one client that contains everything both games needs. Even in the days when you needed to buy CoH and CoV separately, the base data was still there if you only had CoH, you just couldn't access it if your account didn't allow it.
To get updated to the current version as quickly as possible, just install the latest CD you have (which probably will be CoV), then start the online patching.
Ideally, if you have a local friend with a working copy, you can take a copy of their game directory and copy it to your PC (all the account-specific data, like toons, is stored on the NCSoft servers, not locally), make a shortcut to the updater, and that should be that. -

Ummm
Has anyone noticed the resemblance between the colour of the actual lightning powers to the blue lightning pic posted in this thread?
Like, pretty close, if you ask me.
So... why the threaD?

This is an internet forum. Internet forums are for having pointless arguments on.

Could it just be that the guy means the red names from here and the usa forums that have gone "mods" an easy mistake to make for some.
Something to keep in mind before jumping on the guy.

TBH as the sole purpose of the "question" was to state the reasons the OP thought the game was dooooooomed, and invite people to agree with him, I'm not inclined to cut an awful lot of slack. -

AoC is chasing .... hmmm ... scantily clad women.
[/ QUOTE ]
Last I heard, the only thing AoC wass chasing is enough subscribers to stay open!
[/ QUOTE ]
But...but...how can this be?
Was AoC not the killer game that would steal all CoX's players, becoming a massive hit and forcing Paragon City into receivership within a matter of days!?!?
You'll be saying there are more CoX developers than there used to be next!

Although they wouldn't "still" be anything for newcomers, which is who the OP was originally saying were the issue.
Although the OP's also started discounting newcomers and taking swipes in this thread at devs over I13 PvP changes, so perhaps anything goes. -

on CoH the lighting blast is a bluey/purpley colour, just suggesting that maybe change it to a more realistic colour maybe a bright blue, white or maybe even yellow.....
[/ QUOTE ]
TBH when you're looking at a giant wolf-headed creature opening a gateway to Hades so it can throw lightning bolts at a walking cadaver with an explosive backpack, I don't think the colour of the lightning's a significant realism issue. -

I am talking about the little things which seem to get fixed and be fine, and then for some reason they get added back into the game....

like crashes
[...]
While I applaud new issues etc. a little more time spent fixing things that were already working previously shouldn't be too difficult.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, if only...
Program crashes are one of the eternal facts of life - they can be caused in many different areas of a program, for many different underlying reasons, and even crashes that superficially look like they're an old problem resurfacing can actually be due to another cause altogether.
You can take steps to reduce the number of crashes that make it to live, and quickly fix them when they are found, but actually stopping them altogether. Impossible! -
Last time I saw it it was in a Pawn Shop in Steel; Illum was muttering something about needing inf for a l33t purple IO...
Edit: Fixed incoherence. -
Welcome back Doctor Whasisname!
(BTW one of my alts got drafted into the Regulators by Illum, to help with the rent payments. I think I got your locker, so let me know if you want those <cough> specialist magazines back at some point.) -

that's the point, why i can be king of pve and not of pvp?
balancing things is good, but waste all player efforts slottin toon is not the right way to do it
[/ QUOTE ]
No, it is the point - Lionsbane's argument is that PvP's still flawed in I13, because the IOs you can get with grinding will still let you rule.
Still, that's his stance as I see it - if he agrees and wants to debate whether his opinion (IOs are overpowered for PvP) or yours (IOs are useless for PvP) is correct I'll let him do so himself. -
[ QUOTE ]
yes i'm talkin about pvp, in pve zones sets r still usefull, but i dont think a pve player slot set just to fight npcs O_o
[/ QUOTE ]
Heehee - you and Lionsbane should get together to debate things.
His position is that the multi-build system is flawed because regular players won't want to kit out with uber IO builds which make you king of PvP.
Overall, proof that the devs can't please all of the people all of the time. -
