I was just in Warburg and had it confirmed by an AR/Dev blaster that TD and tactic sees through hide and stealth and that he could see a non-stealthed stalker before they could see through the cloaking device.
Unfortunately the damage they put out is fairly poor and no build-up to augment it

damage is low but the inherant accuracy + TD + tactics means you can get some real nice chains working in there with end reds and recharges and ranges. Where others slot for damage this can be a little more tactical -

Your best bet is to pair up with a dark or storm def, if you're both running tactics then that's a double bonus and the have +stealth PbAoE toggle powers that should stack with cloaking device.

That's unacceptable and kind of defeats the purpose of the excercise. IMHO if an AT with a perception boost from it's secondary powerset and one from the pool powers STILL can't see a stalker through hide and stealth then their really is something wrong.
The point of this toon is to hunt stalkers, not simply be able to see them off if I'm being hunted.

Well, not really, difference between +2 and +3 isnt that great, and the enhancement levels arent goingto stay tip top anyway if character is leveling. Not worth the trouble for me.

Grand idea. However, I see no indication whatsoever that the devs are considering a change to Defiance. The bottom line is that Blasters still do more damage than anyone, which the Devs constantly seem to regret, and the real special power we got was the slight Hp increase over Controllers and Defenders.
If Blasters are to get a real special power, even a substandard one like Scourge, I am afraid we will first have to lose damage.

Except a brute. 850% increase when Fury bar is maxed out. Surely thats enough to far outdamage a blaster.
We have already lost alot of damage.
I did some solo missions last night, can only just 1 shot a lvl50 minion with aim, build up and snipe. Even total focus only takes 3/4 off an even level minion. (without aim and bu). I used to be able to 1 shot +2's with aim and bu. That is quite a major damage difference.

Fury doesnt give that big of a buff. Thats actually the damage cap for brutes.

Technically yes and no, you dont get debt for dying in a pure pvp fight but attacking someone else always brings an element of risk, you may be about to win when an npc spawns on top of you and takes the rest of your health which could have been deminished in the battle. -
If it wasnt for defiance in PVP I dont think many blasters would ahve put my stalker down, it is my bane in pvp

claoking device is pretty damn effective as is, its not perfect but good. As for a stalker hunter, get targeting drone and tactics and you can see them, you cant guarantee IR goggles will be for sale

a lvl 2 (not able to slot sprint) run to somewhere in St Martial (to be decided but logically in opposite direction of the hospital to prevent people using the death taxi) with 1 million infamy as a prize

For people to keep powers they have gained up to lvl 50 when exempted down to an even playing feild is an absolutely inane and a totally unfair suggestion. A lvl 50 could have 11 extra powers to call into play over a lvl 20 in the same zone and some of them are nigh on invincible, how could a lvl 20 without SOs take on a SR with Elude? A stone with Granite? A controllers chain holds with a singularity? An unstoppable tank? Simple fact is lvl 50s already have a huge advantage with slots and SOs already to had an already stronger character. How is a larger advantage is going to make pvp more enjoyable to those without high lvl characters?
None of us want to lose powers but it is balanced as it is, not perfectly as the lowbies are not pulled up to the highers lvls in terms of slots and Sos but it isnt bad, there is no way that stronger characters should get stronger. If you want this go to Warburg and shortly recluses Victory -

hmmm stamina of course is a personall choice and depends what you are building. In the full PvP stalker i am creating i run the toggles with no issues and also manage to fully maintain attack cycles. My travel power however is not fly or SS..i run tp and hover. Still my toggles seem to not be so end heavy as yours since i run more toggles than you currently but with end reducers in.Its all a matter of personal choice. By the way my stalker is spines/SR with a pretty unniques sniperish build

Its fly that does the stamina, crazy end eater and I have it on vitually perma, I will be damned that Im going to slot it though (at least not yet), the rest wouldnt make a dent in normal use. Hover/TP sounds like a good combo, look forward to teaming

I disagree with TG in this respect
My specific PVP Spines/EA stalker has stamina as a vital power. That said I only run hide (compulsory) and entropy sheild from the Energy Aura powerset, I do however run Hide, Stealth, Entropy, Superspeed and Fly constantly with very little stamina degredation if any at all.
So at lvl 30 I have 4 pool powersets, fitness, flight, speed and concealment, impale is my main power with AS and placate running in second place.
Regarding slotting, my attacks are running 2xAcc SOs and 4x Damage, the extra 5% from the 4th slot may not sound much but in PVP it all counts.
My build is not for everyone and is not a scrapper, its a distint flying stalker with a ranged attack and is moderately effective at PVP -

I dont mean a damage reduction in anyway I just think an AS kill on a controller and defender is a bit unsporting. And i have no need for more than Hide and Stealth -

There's really only one way to make this better and thats to give the majority of the kill to the main fighter and if someone comes in and kills the the enemy with very little effort they should get a smaller fraction of the goods,like it is in PvE vs mobs.

well theres one thing being in the thick of it all and just killing whatever comes into your veiw which was what was happening tonight and no malice or killstealing was intended however I personally get annoyed when a fight is going down and a certain 2 lettered named scrapper comes in and killsteals at the very last moment, I usually know the heros I am fighting and want someone who has worked hard enough to put me down to get the reward not some opportunist who runs around sending random insults over tells.
Basically I can see the 2 sides to this -
A stalker
As you state a dislike for them you should at least give the AT a go and discover its weaknesses for yourself. Its also a surgical strike AT as opposed to just wading in so the intelligence aspect is there. As for being weak my stalker has no defence but hide (specific build) but does well enough -

Now my MA scrapper has no ranged attacks to get people with when they run off as they often do, he has not got enough acc to hit most folk anyway as not PvP slotted yet anyway but thats another matter., so I would view getting tp and tp foe and sitting in a watchtower tping folks to me so that they cannot run away while I try to wail on them a valid tactic as it traps them much the same as using hurricane to trap someone in a phone box, cargo box, etc (has the added bonus of if they cannot get out of there in the first place their best bet is to let me kill them otherwise after Im dead theyll still be trapped but that is another issue) However I am pretty sure if I started using that tactic I would very quickly get shouted at and petitioned by folk.

tbh, I dont think your comparison with being hurricaned into a bus stop is a valid one. The big difference is, that if you kill the hurricaner, you can exit. If he would kill you in the fight in the watchtower, he'll still be stuck. Like TG said, it's an exploit and it says pretty clearly in the User Agreement/Rules of Conduct that such exploits are not allowed.
Dunno if hurricaning into a busstop is an equal exploit, but I doubt it. Seeing it IS a power to keep melee people away from you, so you either just keep running around pushing em everywhere, or corner them.
To the people complaining the most bout that hurricaning/forcebubble tactic, I doubt they complain if somebody would use that tactic in PvE. Each of those posts kinda sound like all those anti-stalker posts as well. People are just annoyed they are on the losing side of a battle.

you can get into sirens at lvl 20 but as you dont get SO enhancements untill 22 you will be at a disadvantage

Hotfeet used to be autohit but in a recent patch was changed. Probably need 3 x Acc as most powers do in PvP to ensure it hits the stalker.
3xAcc and 3xEndRed would probably allow me to run it constantly assuming Stamina 3 slotted as well.

3xAcc is best as in pvp the base accuracy lvl is droped from 0.75 tp 0.5 which is a fair bit of a drop. Running it as you suggest should give you something like 90% protection from AS as flying stalkers are rare and after getting hit once by my drop technique people dont stay still often. Hotfeet is one of the better ones as you cant resist the slow effect and you have an almost captive stalker for stacking holds and your team to attack.
