Well, like most cases, I agree with Philotic. His Force Fielding adventures are very interesting and something to be considered.

i would agree that this forum is quicker... but i cannot say that i like it more... With the old forum, i enjoyed the look of it.... but this new one is different... i dont really like different i suppose

Do non damaging attacks like Twighlight Grasp or the temp extinguisher power make her submerge? Squirting her with a giant water hose seems to be fairly humane.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, non-damaging attacks don't make her submerge. One of my favorite things to do on my gravity troller is to use Wormhole to teleport her onto land. It's a challenge to see if I can get her to the middle of town before somebody hits her
[/ QUOTE ]I think they made her immune to teleport a while back, because people would use TP Foe to get her onto land. I've got a screenshot somewhere of her swimming through a basketball court.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is disturbing and hilarious... imagine walking down the street and seeing a dinosaur swimming in the basketball court... o.O *twitch* -

While I would take any buff offered, with three of the four SoA branches being clearly overpowered (not complaining I <3 my widow and huntsman) and the banes being darn good, I think you all are going to have a hard time getting Castle to come on board with this.
The SoA's inherent is that they are full of win. I wouldn't be calling too much attention to the AT in general.
[/ QUOTE ]
Overpowered? Which one isn't overpowered? And why are they considered overpowered?
[/ QUOTE ]
OK, we won't have much longer to talk about this but:
The SoA are all classic Tank-Mages. They are high damage, ranged/melee combatants with significant defense and mez protection.
The Widows can trivially soft-cap defense to all positions while having scaling resistance, complete mez protection and strong psi resistance.
The Crab has Dull Pain and significant levels of damage resistance.
The Bane (which is the one I think might be merely strong instead of overpowered), has moderate defense, resistance, +health and mez protection.
[/ QUOTE ]Dont think tankmage or overpowered think near-perfection. VEATs only flaw are not having inherrent stamina and health. All other ATs are not up to par.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which was my point all along. While I wouldn't object to more regen/recovery for Conditioning, this is an AT that is not suffering in any way.
[/ QUOTE ]
As much as it pains me to agree, I agree that it doesnt really need to be boosted. My widow has a lot of trouble with endurance, but she is the ultimate fighter (imo). I can jump into the middle of a crowd and not die (multiple times) and also kill the entire group.
Althought the idea of a buff to Conditioning would be a nice thing to have. I think that the VEATs need a little bit of trouble with endurance to balance out the amazing power that they encompass. -

So then you're all basically saying the IS no weak combo, just slow ones? That's not what I wanted to hear. I wanted WEAK.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hey I told you, Defenders are weak, vulnerable and slow. Especially FF or Empathy solo.
Controllers are slow and tedious, but their control means they aren't vulnerable.
Go with FF/Archery for a weak combo. /Energy is bad, but the knockback would make things a bit easier solo :P

*facepalm* You know who I am, right?

Lol. I was waiting for a response such as this. PK= Force Field KING -

You know, for a top 10 (last I checked) MMO, you'd think enough people play the game
[/ QUOTE ]
That's because no one plays any MMO except for WoW anymore. Didn't you know?

ugg WoW. I played the trial. and refuse to go back -

Thermal or pain domination are the secondaries you want to look at.
However, corruptors are damage dealers first. A "pure" healer type in this game is about as useful as lipstick on a pig. Take some attacks and learn to use them, or risk getting utterly bored stiff in the upper levels.
[/ QUOTE ]
or a brute that complains about your healing and the team falls apart because I quit healing them. Ohh wait was that a little too specific?
Yeah Pain Domination is the supposed healing type for villains. I honestly like being a MM with /pd. I suggest Necromancy/PD it is fun. I havent really tried a good corr with PD, but ive seen nice things come from them as well. -
ohh really? i didnt see that he was, musta missed a post

The relevance of the defender/blaster comparison is simple. The Brute AT is designed to hold aggro, but lacks the tools on it's own to survive it (excluding Stone). The job of a Blaster is to kill. The job of a Defender is to protect the team. Considering the benefits the two get from Tough (especially Defenders), an AT designed to hold aggro should get a higher benefit from Tough to help it survive. A 17.8 boost is pathetic by comparison.
[/ QUOTE ]
Honestly.. Even stone armor seems sub par. The resistance/defense gained from granite are good, but not wade into a huge group of high level baddies and come out alive.
At least not without tough and weave also backing up the stoner.. And certainly just about anything outside of granite is pretty cruddy too.. My stone tank doesn't really need granite that often, my brute seems like he'd die if I tried to do anything but granite anymore.
Meanwhile, my /SR brute does more damage, attacks faster, and ends up taking a lot less damage, thanks to the soft cap, which is ~15 % off for the stoner..
[/ QUOTE ]
These reasons right here is why i refuse to play my stone brute. He is way too slow and the cost just does not equal the gain (IMO). I die rather easily with my brute (not slotted with MILLIONS of IOS) and i just cant stand to play it. -

I love being a PB and WS. My PB is at 42, and my WS is at 47. The only problem with the PBs, and its a huge problem, is knockback. Several times I've sent tells to peeps trying to get in teams only to be told they don't want knockback (can't blame them). Can't use solar flare or radiant strike in teams or the next thing you see is the baddies flying over the horizon, and your team yelling at you.
If the devs would fix the PB knockback by changing it to knockdown, PBs would rock in every way.
[/ QUOTE ]
Okay yes i do agree with this. IMO this is what many people mean by it is more solo friendly lol. -
I love the auto fly from the PBs, and i hate the auto tp from WS. (i just hate tping). I enjoy my WS because of the awsome team interaction and speed, i enjoy PBs because they are pretty steady when in solo or teamed.

Which is the least resisted power type as far as PVE is concerned. Is it energy, fire, what?

Fire.

Hmm. Interesting, I didnt really think it was fire, but after thinking back a bit. I may agree with ya. -
MB you have a typo. There is not 2 tuesday in a week

If I am home by the time the hero one starts, I will gladly join up. If not then i will settle with the villain one -
