Quote:How much do I do want? We're testing three improvements to stalkers in i22:
-Assassin's Strike: using Assassin's Strike outside of hide will be an uninterruptible attack with no windup time, dealing Superior damage. This will allow Stalkers to do very competitive dps.
-All Stalker attacks that are not Assassin's Strike will build stacks of a buff called Assassin's Focus. Assassin's Focus increases your chance to critically strike with the out-of-hide Assassin's Strike.
-Stalker Buffed Max HP will be increased by about 400. This should allow them to fully benefit from powers like dull pain, hoarfrost, etc.
-These changes to Stalkers should make them very competitive top-end damage dealers, and help them with their early attack chain since they can use Assassin's Strike mid-combat.
-
You forgot this:
Quote:Now I go back to the other thread to squee like a child on Christmas morning.Staff Fighting will be available for Stalkers, Brutes, Tankers, and Scrappers. -
So much for using Dark Astoria for tip hunting. On the other hand, level 50 Tsoo? Yes, please. Will there still be ghosts?
And Darkness Control and Staff Fighting? Mwahahahaha.
No comment on brain-dead marketing ideas. I vote the market with my wallet. -
Quote:No, I don't agree. Stalkers do not need more hitpoints, they need to do incredible, jaw-dropping, shock-the-party-into-silence damage.
Stalkers need to have their base damage mod raised to 1.2 and their damage caps raised by 100 percent. Leave everything else just the way it is. They'd hit like they're dropping bombs from orbit.
This puts them WAY in front of ANYBODY for damage. It also gives them enormous utility on teams as buff amplifiers.
It's simple and fast to implement as well.
While we're at it:
Scrappers and Blasters get their damage cap raised by 100 percent as well. Scrappers can't get there without buffs, which makes them better on teams, and Blasters just flat out need the damage to compete with debuffs. (City of Debuff, lol.)
Brutes are fine.
Tankers get their resist caps raised to 93 percent.
Voila, done. Most other AT's are pretty solid in individual niches with outliers.
BUFF ALL THE MELEE THINGS
Oy. -

I'd join up, but Sunday afternoons are a bad teaming time and I'm pretty much on Virtue all the time. I'll cheer y'all on, though!
And if you need inspiration: DB/EA. Or just about anything /EA. Its very pretty. -
I'd flush 'melee blasters,' re-market the AT as 'City of Arkham,' and go from there.
-
I would've said 'me', but Zombie Man beat me to it.
Oh, why not. Me.
Quote:Fusionette comes with multiple rescue missions and an Operative Jenkins AI. She's not exactly striking a blow for squishy heroes.never really understood why people hate fusionette, while flamebeaux is delibrately made to be annoying as hell
Flambeaux, between her tip missions and the Twinshot arc, actually comes out more developed. I kinda feel sad for her in a way. -
All this talk about Alexis's death affecting States and Manticore, and none mentioning a certain daughter with, shall we say, poor impulse control and her own personal army. Her death may be a plot point, but this is going to have repercussions all over the place.
And I won't even go into looking for happy cheery endings in a story called 'Who Will Die'. I already have my suspicions as to who might be behind it all, and if I'm right there'll be a massive threadstorm once that's revealed. -
I'm leveling up a KM/EA and loving it. S/L/E softcapping is trivial, endurance isn't a problem with Energize 'n Power Drain, and you get built-in recharge to build more recharge onto. Thinking on all that recharge, a claws/EA would be a pretty nasty combo.

Quote:Seconded. I wouldn't mind having a 1023 character bio if I actually had 1023 characters. It also massively bloats the size, resulting in exponentially less that can be written in the first place. Extra spaces and line breaks take up considerably more room than normal characters.
Honestly, if that one fact were fixed, I wouldn't have too many gripes with the current allotted amount. -
Quote:And she was never seen again.Because game diversity is a topic I'm personally interested in, because the conversation has been heated but relatively polite, and because I'm still thinking of the best way to actually calculate the number of possible builds that exist in City of Heroes in a reasonable amount of time and effort.

Taking down Leviathan at x4 with only my night widow and Manta's DB stalker.
For that matter, just about anything involving the Entropy Legion.
Hail of Bullets with Fulcrum Shift capped.
Hail of Bullets even without Fulcrum Shift.
Seeing how much hang time I get by using Knockout Blow on Atlas Park minions.
Claws brutes.
Activity on the global OOC channels.
Completing the LRSF and STF.
Receiving compliments on my costumes and backgrounds!
Having a fun time doing missions with a good and entertaining team. -

Well, we're two days away from Halloween. Of course we would have a thread return from the dead!
-
My God, that's beyond horrible.
Godspeed, young man. -
As well as the free 400/550 points a month. And access to Exalted. It might not be worth much to you, but to someone like myself I like having those and the free SSAs around.
-
Quote:$15 a month - $5 a month of Paragon Points = $10The value of subscribing has gone down because so much stuff is now free, yet the cost of subscribing has remained the same. The amount of new content for subscribers isn't at a faster rate than before. So overall subscribers get less for their money than they did before CoH went F2P.
I think this is a bad thing.
Huh. It looks like my cost of subscribing actually went down. -
I wonder if we should just ask art staff to come up with a nunchuck model for War Mace, and get that proliferated to Stalker. And a hockey stick model too... I think we're on to something.
-
a.) Its not like they didn't get Street Justice.
b.)
We're basically a nunchuck set away from completing the quartet. -
Didn't Shubbie quit the last time he blew something all out of proportion? Like, a week or two ago?

A claws/DA stalker misses such neat things such as Follow-Up, Spin, Death Shroud, and the HP to make the resists work even better. On the other hand, you still have Focus, Eviscerate, Shockwave, Dark Regen, Soul Transfer, and the ability to pick 'n choose your crits with Hide and Placate.
You won't be the whirling dervish of destruction a claws scrap or brute would be, but is that how you see your vampire? Or do you want to be the guy popping in and out of the shadows before taking a bite- er- swipe? -
Quote:Oh, its fixed. My stalker can merrily attest to this. It's part of the assassination effect. It's only on the Assassin's Strike type power. In my experience, it only goes off when your target survives the Assassin's Strike, but I've heard some noise to the effect that they've fixed it, and it goes off regardless, but that could just have been a suggestion to improve stalkers.
