CSB time:
I've had the impression for over a year now that brutes were more fun than scrappers. Fury meant I could slot early for acc, end, and rech, while my scraps were either scraping for damage or blue skittles. And since I mostly did tips and groups, I was never really at a loss for enough mobs to keep the fury up. Jump in, whale away, and let fury make the good times roll.
A couple days ago, I decided to take my main brute on a solo journey to talk to Tina pick up Portal Jockey. It wasn't until I found myself running down way too long corridors with way too few robots to smash that I found that maybe a scrapper who did something other than lethal wouldn't totally suck. So after pondering, I shifted a spare brute over to another server and rolled a StJ/SD. Two days, four DFBs, and nineteen levels later, and I'm sold. She hit like a truck right out of the sewers and keeps on trucking without gasping for breath every other mob. I love her concept, her costume, how Street Justice flows, and how she can dive right in without needing a few warm up hits.
So I'm with UberGuy: Scrappers are good the way they are. -
FRESH MEAT- er-
Uh. <_< >_>
Welcome! -
Aw, man. D: Happy trails and good luck!

Quote:Let's see:The Rulu-shin threat wasn't that big, they (the Midnighters, which includes non-blue members) should've beaten the pulp out of Wade (who has been stealing from them for some time now) as soon as he showed his ugly mug, the only reason my hero didn't, on my first play through, when it was first released, was because I COULDN'T TARGET HIM AS AN ENEMY.
- I enter the Midnighters' front door. Fallen Midnighters' and Rulu-Shin all over, only ones left standing are a bunch more Rulu-Shin.
- Having cleaned up that, I press further inside, find even more fallen Midnighters' and even more not-fallen Rulu-Shin. And Percy, but, well, Percy.
- Montague is literally backed into a corner, making his last stand in the last room with his two big bruisers and nobody else with tons more Rulu-Shin on the way. Lucky for him, a random hero who happened to pick today of all days to stop by comes to his rescue.
- Rulu-Shin attack in bigger than x1 hordes, and while doing so Wade just pops in out of nowhere to help. Unless you brought in a tricked-out hero who can solo the invaders, Montague and the others have their hands full with holding back the Rulu-Shin. No time to bust a cap in Wade, who I repeat is helping save the Midnighters' from becoming the next Omega Team.
- Before the last wave attacks, Wade leaves.
Now to say that the Rulu-Shin invasion 'wasn't that very big' when they wiped out practically every Midnighter on-hand save for Montague, Kadabra, Whatserface, Mercedes, and Percy, still had plenty wandering around, and even still had a heck of a lot more in reserve for the final push? And to take a moment from that to turn and grill Wade as to why he's here and helping? -
I was at the last Golden Age Festival and had a fantastic time as well. I've got this date circled on the calendar!

Quote:I still have this notion that at some point, Nova Praetoria will be a hero zone, Neuropolis a villain zone, Imperial City a battleground between the two, and the sewers full of really really bad things.I know that I still want to see Shroud City. I also think that now that the Praetorian conflict has started, we should finish it, truly finish it. I mean what WOULD happen post-Cole? Do the Praetorians start a democratic government? Does some Praetorian villain attempt to fill the power vacuum and try to become New Cole? And of course, when do we deal with Hamidon?

I am disappointed that my big hero moment saving Shalice's bacon in SSA 1.4 may have been all for naught. But then she's survived terminal cases of death before, so who really knows until next month or beyond?
Which is why I, for one, still like and anticipate the SSA's. I was sold on spending waaaaaaaaay too much money on a game in a galaxy far away because it would have awesome stories. I stopped playing that game last month when (among other criticisms) said story turned out to be composed mainly of warmed over and easily forseen plot twists. I give Paragon credit: The SSAs have kept me intrigued and actually curious as to what comes next. -
-
I know marketing demands their moneymakers, but...
I want SSA #6 already! :P -
Belatedly: Awesomely good work, Dink. I wasn't expecting this!

Some posters just want to watch the forum burn.

Quote:Great Siembieda, you're playing a Malkavian.personally I think my bio is better. but I'm biased:
Its VERY REAL People! I was kidnapped by some aliens and they told me that today we were having turkey but it wasnt thanksgiving and I wouldn't say it snowed but Santa came up to me and shot my dog in the balls with an AK47 and then someone came up to me and cut my..... grass for no reason, he charged me 5 bucks but I gave him 2 so she ran away. What are the odds? but my dog wasn't shot in the balls, my cat got shot in the balls instead. well, your dog with no balls came up to me and asked if I could support the local maffia chapter, I said "sure" So, I started to give people good luck. I saw a bum, I gave him a leg. I saw someone at a casino, I gave her an arm. I saw some kid taking a test, I gave him a leg. I saw whatever that was, ate my last leg. Shortly, I found myself rolling down the street. Someone told Me that I should have that looked at, so, I went to the doctor, he told me that Girls ate my brains, so, I got new arms and legs, but still no brains, Purple Cow. I love carrots...Call me Bunny. +.+ -
Quote:But we did get Ironik to post up some nice backgrounds and costumes, so not all was lost. Hmm. Perhaps I should've taken the high road.Yeah, I was going to also, but that "LOL RPers" post pretty much made it obvious that this guy's been doing some serious Superadine.
Ah hell, I'll just say it anyway. His ideas of "good" are only good in the same kind of mediocre mind that introduced Youngblood to the world.
Also, DV's full of crap as usual. -

Quote:I've spoken with NCSoft reps in game and was informed that it's perfectly fine to play signature characters on the condition that you make no attempt to pose as someone that represents NCSoft while playing those characters. A whole bunch of people went and claimed the names of FP characters as soon as we were informed of that.

Quote:"Hey, aren't you Arbiter Sands?"Actually, I figure that would fit in with Arbiter Sands' character very well. Make up a 'cover identity' that just consists of a name change and see how many people he can fool with it; he does seem arrogant enough to think it'd work (and given how villains/rogues don't really interact with him much at all until that point, at least AFAIK, it could work).
Besides, it could also be a jab at Ms. Liberty's 'undercover operation' being that she's just wearing a change of clothes (with the same color scheme as her costume) and going by her real name. 'Distance from Paragon/Longbow' indeed.
"No, I'm Arbiter Hawk."
"But you look..."
"No, citizen, I'm Arbiter Hawk. See, it even says so on my Arachnos I.D. card:"
*holds out Arbiter Sands's card, with 'Arbiter Sands' covered up in crayon and replaced by 'JESSICA COLE-DUNCAN-RICHTER-PICARD HAWK'*
"... Ohhhh." -

Quote:* On TPN Daily News: "Today in sports the Praetorian Professional Tennis Tournament was underway when suddenly super beings and a horde of killer robots decided to have their battle right at center court. Undeterred, last year's champion Kyle Breckinridge gamely held his position on the court but lost against the mayhem 60-luv."
Quote:* Siege: "Aw come on! (pant) Why do we have to... (gasp) fight all the way... (wheeze) over here?! Can't you (cough) ACU's slow the heck down so you don't make me... (gasp) look so bad?!"
Siege: "Awwwww...."
Quote:* I want to start a petition for the Devs to add something to Ouroboros. Directly between the Empyrean and Astral vendors I want an opening in the fence and beyond it a suspended path that loops around and about before coming back to another opening directly beside the first. Nothing special about it, just a small winding walking path. Directly next to the opening I want a small sign with an arrow pointing that reads: "This way to Incarnate Trail." -

The Valentine's deliveries have given me much greater respect for the greatest playa in all of Paragon City: Synapse. He's too goshdarn adorkable.
And who else went to deliver the Valentine's to Fusionette, saw it was at the transit, and fired up all their armors before going in?
These have been the best delivery missions ever. -
Argh! You beat me to it! Fine, I'll just have to create the train that swore vengeance upon evil after its parents were de-railed by a damsel tied to the tracks...

And the most controversial ally in thier quest to stop Wade, T'Keron Valmaz, the Unholy Lord of Demons himself.
It was he who captured the last breath of Marcus Cole. He crystalized it and gave it as a pendant to Numina in his constant effort to win her affections. -
I was like you, my recent alt list was full of melee mans and melee womans. And then I rolled a mind/psi dom.
DFB to 14 so you get a nice set of controls and attacks, then go to town Charlie Brown. Lock 'em down and blast 'em 'til they fall down. Its glorious.
